of late I cannot update/restore several of my switches. They system starts the restore device process and halfway through it loses contact with the device. I can immediately query the device successfully, just cant get it to go through the whole restore. I have not andded anything to the house and my system in general seems to have great communication. I am using 99i latest update. ANy thoughts?

Great suggestions , thanks. Away for a day but going to try on return. Still don't understand what the significance of the fail is if my scenes work in real life?

I am using 3.3.8. Will try PLM. Thanks

Using the scene test utility many of my scenes fail (example below) even though they seem to work fine. The only persistant system problem I have is that I seem to loose contact with devices when updating/programming them. Any thoughts? Thanks for the quick reply. I actually solved the problem by unplugging the PLM then powering it up again. I had tried rebooting the isy withought success but I guess the PLM was the problem. No idea why but it works so I'm happy

my isy-99i has stopped reporting device status changes. If any of my devices are turned on/off locally the status change does not reister with the isy. if I query bthe device the ISY then reports the correct status. This problem leaves all my nprograms that require correct status useless! Any ideas?

LeeG, you have the correct scene config. Button A on KPLA controls Several secondary buttons on KPLB. When I bring up the scene in the administrative console and highlight the controller ( KPLA A button) on the left the scene list on the rightgives me on/off and ramp options for each member of the scene including the KPLB secondary buttons ( whose ramp options are of course greyed out). Even though I set these buttons to "off" with these options they still turn on with the scene. The software was clearly designed to allow for the scene to shut off a button just like any other responder can be shut off with a scene activation, I just can't figure out why its not working. The intent by the way is that when I activate the KPLA "A" scene I want KPLB buttons to be off since the scenes they conrol are overidden by the scene activated by KPLA "A".
-
No, its a keypad button, not a remote link. In the scene setting you can select on or off ( the ramp speed is greyed out) but the button doesnt repond.
-
Simply put, I am writing a scene where keypad button A is meant to control Keypad buttons a,b,c,d, on a second keypad. I set the responder buttons to go off by highlighting the controller in the scene list and setting the responder buttons to off but the buttons still go on when the controller is activated locally! I have had succes shutting of buttons in this fasion before but only when restricted to a single pad. Is there a glitch preventing this when using two pads?

Norton internet security but disabling the firewall doesn't seem to help.

Also, ? related, I noticed the "all on", "all off", and "query" buttons for my individual lighting folders dont work in 7.13. Is this a known issue?
-
Actually, I was using 7.11 . Now on 7.13 but same thing.

I set up my unit for remote operation and everything worked great. After I got home though I noticed that when I access the ISY from my computer although it controls lights it no longer updates the status of lights turned on localy at the switch. If i query the lights it does update their status. If I remove a device and re-link it it gets updated corectly until the next time I use remote acces and then it happens again! Any ideas? Thanks

I did mean programs. I actually realized what had happend was that somehow the folder the programs are contained in got a restriction attached to it. Didn't even realize you couid do that and have no idea how it got there but removed it and all is well again. Thanks anyway.

None of my timers are working. I have full two way comunication with all lights and even new simple test timers aren't working. ANy ideas?
-
Thanks, to all. Was obviously using the wrong IP. Works great now. My understanding is that I might lose my cable modems IP from time to time. Is there away around having to recheck and reset system to acount for that? Thanks
-
Yes , I am using the ISY IP ( which I got from the network box of the systems tab) and the router rule applies. I used port 443 but noticed 80 is also listed. do I need a rule for 80? Arthur

Having trouble with remote access. I set my belkin router to forward port 443 using my isy's IP and TCP. when I try to connect from an outside computer to the device IP I get a site not found message. Thanks, Arhur
