  1. Are you using a state variable? Integer variables wont activate a program
  2. For anyone who has one of these in a closet dust it off :). Happy to report in 5.3 with z wave upgrade unit works perfectly.

    Will do. Thanks

    SMS Gateways

Does pushover send SMS too or just push? I have IOS so I can’t customize push notification sounds. With Sms I can customize alerts so I can immediately figure out if it’s urgent. That’s what I’m going for here.

    SMS Gateways

Thanks for the response. I use mobi linc for push notifications and isy for email notifications but I need texting for more emergent messages like an alarm or water leak as I don’t always run to check pushes. It looks like I can use IFTTT for limited texting but looking for a more direct process like a universal Sms gateway so I can use the ISY text option.

    SMS Gateways

I am currently using a verizon sms gateway for my ISY emergent notifications ( XXXXXXX@vtxt.com). Works fine but I am considering switching carriers to ALtice who does not provide sms gateways. Does anyone know of a free gateway service for low volume email to sms?
  7. I was never able to get it to work. Recently tried again after upgrading to the 5.x platform but no luck. When I use the activity log the ISY does show the signal recurved but doesn’t change the status of device. Too bad because it’s a nice, subtle design that requires no real installation.
  8. Thanks but the problem is that the status of the node doesn’t change so can’t use it in any way. Hopefully 5.0 will adress and hopefully that makes it to beta soon
  9. I was not able to resolve. Put my sensor in a drawer and figured I’d try again when 5.0 out

  12. Don't see that option. Only add:include:shift:receive:z wave secure:tools:advanced
  13. Has anyone had any luck with the ge/jasco hinge pin smart door sensor? My ISY994i recognizes it but doesn't change staus when switch is activated. The event viewer does detect the change.as follows: Fri 07/21/2017 06:42:42 PM : [ZWAVE BASIC ] ZW006_1 Reports value 255 Fri 07/21/2017 06:42:44 PM : [ZWAVE BASIC ] ZW006_1 Reports value 0 Fri 07/21/2017 06:42:48 PM : [ZWAVE BASIC ] ZW006_1 Reports value 255 Fri 07/21/2017 06:42:58 PM : [ZWAVE BASIC ] ZW006_1 Reports value 0 Many thanks
  14. Hey guys, I realize this is an old post but came upon this same problem tonight after replacing PLM and moving remote away worked instantly. Thanks!
  15. Thanks . I will have to re- read wiki
  16. the program is essesntialy written exactly as I descibed. It does seem that the wait cycle is being interupted but I didnt think that was possible. Shouldnt the program run through even if the original "if" condition changes during the wait?
  17. I have three garage doors, each with an I/o device attached. I wrote a simple program if: sensor 1 or sensor 2 or sensor 3 is on Then: turn on appliance module, wait one minute, turn appliance module off. The program turns the module on but not off. The module never fails in any other program/scene so I don't think its a communication issue. Further, if I change the program to read then: turn on appliance module and run program 2 "then" where program 2 then states " wait one minute then turn off appliance module" it works every time. Any ideas? thanks.
  18. Interesting. I may give that a try if this happens again. Thanks
  19. We did have a few brown outs last week. Too bad you can't use USB with PLM. Thanks again for your help
  20. Rebuilding PLM did it. Thanks you! Any idea why that would happen suddenly?
  21. The LEDs do respond. Can't account for communication issues. System otherwise great. Also , sensor queries without issue. Add. tried device restore and disabling at breaker my new 220v switch but no change
  22. I have three i/o links set up in my garage, one for each door. Recently the isy has not been picking up changes in sensor status. The i/o links report the correct status when queried and the relays respond to on/off comands so I don't think it's a communications issue. I am running 4.05. The only changes I have made recently is updating mobilinc and installing a 220volt swich on an unrelated circuit. Any ideas? Thanks
  23. I have several access points properly installed. PLM and light on different circuits, not sure about phase. cant pin down anything new in house so I guess I will shut off all the breakers but the plm and switch and go from there. Thanks.
  24. originally I needed to replace a defective switch. That switch cycled on/off repeatedly and rapidly despite factory resetting it. A smarthome tech told me it was a common sign of switch failure. I replaced the switch (keypad 6 button) and when I tried to use the replace function the progress bar made it to ~50% before being replaced with message "cannot comunicate....check connections". I have since tried a second keypad, tried installing and programming the switch from a second location in the house and I have restored my PLM. During this process I have noted that several of my switches behave the same way - ie they communicate fine and instantly but drop out of the programming because of a communication error. I havealso found that if I am persistant, meaning repeatedly query the switch and attempt to restore it, I eventually have succes. Last night after close to two hours of replication ( the keypad is attached to a scene with over 20 items so programming is always slow due to the number of devices that need to be written to) the programming succeeded. My system including several large scenes and programs seems to work flawlessly now but I am concerned as I feel I cant make further changes without running into more mind numbing delays/failures like last night .
