I followed the instructions to migrate. Answered all the questions and made the backup. The instructions say it should reboot...but its been 20 mins and it hasn't? Do I manually reboot, will it automatically start to restore, do I remove the old dongle, do I do a restore, what events should we be looking for in the event viewer? The instructions are not very clear. FYI: I only have 2 Z-Wave devices. v5.5.4

Thanks...this does make sense if true. This needs updating if so. ISY-99i/ISY-26 INSTEON:Replacing a Device - Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki (universal-devices.com) I have a couple more devices to replace so I'll move everything out of folders and see what happens
-
It only says the device should not be in a folder....not scenes. If its scenes too then the documentation needs updating. FYI if the devices are not in the root then it doesn't even give the option to replace.
-
Yep, that seems to be the only way.....its an 8 button keypadlinc across 10+ scenes so it would be nice if the replace worked. I have a lot of old line communication devices I'm slowly replacing. I hope this gets looked at.

Thanks..I updated but don't see anything changed or relating to this in the release notes. I don't see a way to make a device a controller once its already in a scene. Is it even possible?
-
Polisy...I'll update but I presume I'll have to rebuild all my scenes as the replace has already happened. Are there release notes for this update?
-
Polisy Firmware and UI = 5.4.5 Keypadlinc Dimmers. I also tried to replace a micro module dimmer and had the same issue. For that one I had to remove the controllers from the scenes and add back to get them to work. Its as though even though they are listed as a controller (in red) in the scene they aren't anymore. the issue does seem to be related to this default text? If I remove the controller from the scene and add back...it says On instead and works correctly
-
I have tried this twice with two different module types. I select replace and the new device and the Admin Console goes through the motions and replaces the device in all my scenes etc. It then quits and I restart it. All looks OK, the new device is there in the scenes and all the settings look good. BUT it doesn't work. I activate the screen either from the new switch or from the Console...nothing happens. The only thing that does work is simply turning in the switch from the Console. What am I doing wrong? Edit: I'm noticing it says default in the Actions?

Thank you so much for this clear description (and Geddy). I suspect it was the from field that was causing my issue. All working OK now!
-
What port is that...I used 587 for TLS(like Geddy) and 465 for SSH ?
-
I have the same issue. I've tried gmail and my comcast account, both come up with the -1 error ? FYI Use default works fine with my work email but with all three of my Microsoft email addresses I got 2 or 3 through and then nothing. looks like they are getting blocked. r.

Can you log into here? ISY portal
-
It seems to be back again now
-
This is now the second time in as many weeks the portal and hence Alexa has been down?
-
I'm trying to get the Nvidia Shield control working (I already use AVRemote for Denon) I understand that I need to install the adb tools, but the only info I have found doesn't work. (sudo pkg install android-tools-adb) Any help would be appreciated.

OK, thats fair enough. Any ideas on how to remove the nodes i added to PG3 from PG2...or doesnt it matter?
-
I bought a Policy a couple of weeks ago and have it all setup with a few node servers. I love it! BUT I've just discovered it was all setup on PG2. I followed the instructions to migrate to PG3 and 2 of my node servers now show up in PG3. But it appears some node servers I were using on PG2 are now a cost option on PG3 so didn't migrate? I just spent nearly $500 and I have to now spend another $100 to get these node servers that were free on PG2? Also I can't seem to remove the two I did migrate from PG2. Its pretty confusing to me, any help would be appreciated. Thanks Eddie

Rebooted and its all working again
-
I think the dongle has USB connection issues, you only have to look at it for it to disconnect. Buying a USB extension cable to see if that helps.
-
I have no web control or Alexa control this morning ?
-
Unfortunately I don't get the remove or add windows up, so cant do any of this. Yesterday it was working fine.
-
I can still control the devices I had already added, just not add anymore. If you click the Add button in ISY does the add window open ?
-
I also have this error now (Unrecognized firmware 7.15). Was working OK yesterday. This is on a brand new Polisy (4 days ago)
