General Question regarding integration
How well does this plugin work? I have several landscape lights and would like to create a cascading effect where each individual light turns on sequentially along a pathway through a program in the EISY.

Elk NS
After unsuccessfully not being able to restore communications, I went to bed and woke up to communications restored.

Elk NS
Yes I am. For the last week, I have lost the integration between the ELK and EISY. I don't see anything wrong and UD Mobile shows that ELK is connected. Did you get it to work and if so, how?

Control Elk outputs from EISY or ELK Rules?
What do you mean by the UD Mobile Command class? Is this an actual webinar that teaches to about the app or is this a command instruction you perform in the app?

Network/server error logging into MyQ service
Great, thank you.

Network/server error logging into MyQ service
Can you keep your smart wall controlled with motion and add a second simple push button like the one you linked for a total of 2? If that’s the case, that’s probably the best method to tie into an elk m1 instead of hacking a wireless remote in my situation.

How many Nodes, 2?
That worked. As soon as I went into program, I was able to see the option for Ding. Thanks for the help guys.

How many Nodes, 2?
I have a Ring elite doorbell and just installed the Ring nodeserver. I only see 2 nodes that were installed. One for battery health and the second for motion. What about actual press of the pushbotton on the doorbell? Shouldn't that be a ring or am I missing it?

ELK & EISY - Is there an easier way to use on the UD Mobile APP?

ELK & EISY - Is there an easier way to use on the UD Mobile APP?
So I finally upgraded to the EISY. Installation was smooth including the ELK integration. My issue now is trying to find out the easiest way to arm/disarm the alarm and check status. When using the UD Mobile app, is there a way to add status to the Home page? Is there a easy high level way that I can tell the status of my alarm without having to drill down to Devices and then Area? Can I change colors to signify Armed/Disarmed?

myQ Integration
How is the myQ integration with the Eisy? Any issues, delays?

what to do in upcoming new house???
That is awesome to hear that they are applying to be a partner. We are living in our 3rd home with an M1. It is a bit cumbersome but I love the integration. I love that it integrates well with the isy. And lastly, I love that I don’t have to use I/O lincs when using the elk.

Do you really think they’re a change that ra3 would work with the ISY? let’s say the answer is yes to the question above, would you go with the M1 Alarm or another choice?

Variable Speed Pool Pump - Insteon I/O Module
Do you have an Elk? With the Elk integration, you can add outputs to control any set of contacts.

Recommendations need replacement of Insteon 2477SA
You can buy a 2 pole Contactor rated for the load with 120V control voltage. Use a standard Insteon on/off switch to control the turning on/off of the Contactor.

Input on my summer home automation system?
We are 3 weeks away from moving into our new build but also my third home where I have used Insteon. I also had similar concerns but as other members have said, Insteon switches have come a long way. My biggest issue was the lack of integration which PolyISY now brings to Insteon. Being this was my third home, I’ve learned a lot and these were my highlights. 8 wire for thermostat for humidifier control Elk for security and wired every walk in closet and pantry into it to automatically turn on lights. Ran conduit throughout Prepped for cctv, security, and leak detectors near anywhere there was a sink. Installed a flow meter for my sprinkler Wired for ceiling mounted poe access points for WiFi Everything else was already mentioned.

Insteon vs WIFi Thermostats
I’ve been an Insteon and ISY user for 13 years so I’m no stranger to the technology. What I am a stranger to is polyglot as I haven’t had the need to go in that direction yet. Up until the present, I’ve used Insteon thermostats. They are very basic and if we seen a surge in power, it would definitely fry the unit. While it was a no frills unit, it integrates very well with the ISY and using geo fencing or motion from elk for example, it could do just about anything any other stat could do. My question is we are building a new home. While the Insteon stat is functional, it’s not as pretty as the WiFi versions. My question is how well do these new WiFi versions integrate with the ISY through polyglot? Is there a noticeable lag? Any thoughts?

Somfy blinds retrofit question
I hate to hijack this post but I’m not nearly as active as I used to be. 10 years ago, Somfy shades were the way to go. I’m building a house and I’m thinking about going with motorized wired shades, is Somfy still the big player, or is there a less expensive yet good quality item that can work with the ISY?

Led Strip Lights
If your lights are getting dim at the end of the strip, it’s more likely due to the size of the power supply. Take a look at the current capacity of the one you have and get one that’s bigger as they are generally inexpensive. What i I did in my home to reduce the number of power supplies, I ran an independent wire run for each strip of led lights to a common location where there, I used one 12v 5 amp power supply controlled by a outletlinc. Works great Good luck.

Fancy Thermostats
Thanks for your input guys. For the short term, I'm going to stick with my Insteon thermostat and try the Zwave module which leads me into a couple questions. KeviNH, I have seen the Trane color stat but I believe it was zwave that only worked on the proprietary Nexia bridge. As far as the Honeywell color stat, I have yet to see one. If you do happen to know which model, please post on this thread. Also, I recall back about 8-10 years ago or so, Steve Lee was still with Smarthome Pro and he sent me a new driver that was never officially released that would give the Elk the ability to send and receive temperature feedback from the ISY. Again, this is prior to the Elk module. This would be useful for anyone with a Elk Navigator. Sadly though, I never proceeded with it. Does anyone recall this driver or better yet have tried it?

Fancy Thermostats
I'm a fan of things that just work and work well. I use the Insteon thermostat because it integrates well with the ISY. A lot of users have been using zwave for better variety but when it comes to just plain aesthetics, I have yet to see a zwave thermostat with even a color screen that's compatible with the ISY. I'm really not interested in thermostats that are cloud based that can't communicate directly to the ISY or ELK directly. So when I recently walked through the thermostat section at of all places Home Depot, I found some of the coolest looking "WIFI" thermostats but of course none were zwave or insteon compatible. Has anyone been able to easily and more importantly reliably integrate one of the newer thermostats?
