  1. Anytime we lose power, my EISY controller loses the ability to control my ELK M1 Alarm through the EISY node. What I've learned is I have to restart the node and then go into the UD user interface and actually set the state of the alarm in any mode and that seems to restore the communication between the two. While this isn't a common issue, it's still not ideal. Has anyone seen this similar issue and how reliable has the ELK node been for you guys?

Twice in 6-12 months. I’ll do that, thank you.

I recently replaced my PLM with a new one around 6-12 months ago. This is the second time where I found my keypad wasn't activating programs. I cycled power to the PLM and EISY with no change. I restored the PLM and that resolved it. The bigger issue is why is this happening?
  4. Thank you
  5. How well does this plugin work? I have several landscape lights and would like to create a cascading effect where each individual light turns on sequentially along a pathway through a program in the EISY.

After unsuccessfully not being able to restore communications, I went to bed and woke up to communications restored.

Yes I am. For the last week, I have lost the integration between the ELK and EISY. I don't see anything wrong and UD Mobile shows that ELK is connected. Did you get it to work and if so, how?
  8. What do you mean by the UD Mobile Command class? Is this an actual webinar that teaches to about the app or is this a command instruction you perform in the app?
  9. Great, thank you.
  10. Can you keep your smart wall controlled with motion and add a second simple push button like the one you linked for a total of 2? If that’s the case, that’s probably the best method to tie into an elk m1 instead of hacking a wireless remote in my situation.

That worked. As soon as I went into program, I was able to see the option for Ding. Thanks for the help guys.

I have a Ring elite doorbell and just installed the Ring nodeserver. I only see 2 nodes that were installed. One for battery health and the second for motion. What about actual press of the pushbotton on the doorbell? Shouldn't that be a ring or am I missing it?
  13. So I finally upgraded to the EISY. Installation was smooth including the ELK integration. My issue now is trying to find out the easiest way to arm/disarm the alarm and check status. When using the UD Mobile app, is there a way to add status to the Home page? Is there a easy high level way that I can tell the status of my alarm without having to drill down to Devices and then Area? Can I change colors to signify Armed/Disarmed?

How is the myQ integration with the Eisy? Any issues, delays?
  15. Good news about PLM’s next week, new Eisy controller coming soon. All I need now is access to devices, ex switches, keypads, etc. This is definitely a breath of fresh.
  16. That is awesome to hear that they are applying to be a partner. We are living in our 3rd home with an M1. It is a bit cumbersome but I love the integration. I love that it integrates well with the isy. And lastly, I love that I don’t have to use I/O lincs when using the elk.
  17. Do you really think they’re a change that ra3 would work with the ISY? let’s say the answer is yes to the question above, would you go with the M1 Alarm or another choice?
  18. I think this is the future unfortunately. https://zigbeealliance.org/news_and_articles/chip-is-now-matter/
  19. Do you have an Elk? With the Elk integration, you can add outputs to control any set of contacts.
  20. You can buy a 2 pole Contactor rated for the load with 120V control voltage. Use a standard Insteon on/off switch to control the turning on/off of the Contactor.
  21. We are 3 weeks away from moving into our new build but also my third home where I have used Insteon. I also had similar concerns but as other members have said, Insteon switches have come a long way. My biggest issue was the lack of integration which PolyISY now brings to Insteon. Being this was my third home, I’ve learned a lot and these were my highlights. 8 wire for thermostat for humidifier control Elk for security and wired every walk in closet and pantry into it to automatically turn on lights. Ran conduit throughout Prepped for cctv, security, and leak detectors near anywhere there was a sink. Installed a flow meter for my sprinkler Wired for ceiling mounted poe access points for WiFi Everything else was already mentioned.
