Update - Fixed I linked my google home again with UD and that fixed everything
-
Hi We recently returned from a vacation in Florida and my Google Home will no longer control my ISY through the portal. It appears as though the I SY is online but when I look at the portal I have small red āxāsā beside the commands and beside the IP address. I have tried to upgrade firmware and that fails. What steps should I take to try and restore this? Thanks in advance Glenn

Thank you for all the help. I was just about to call support and I read the previous post that stated the Admin Console looks old. I had a link on my other computer to my ISY 26 and that was the link I was using. I just assumed that it opened up the same on the new 994. I have another iMac so I re-created the link to the new ISY and I was able to fix everything. Post 25 by LeeG was the trigger. All's good now, I have been using an ISY for years and it has worked so well I have forgotten how to program it from lack of attention.

I hope we can figure this out? I have no access to my devices through the admin console. I can, however, turn on and off all of my scenes from the console. The triggers, timers and links all work properly from the switches but the "current state" doesn't show and I can't query or do anything with the individual devices through the console?
-
I don't know if this is any help but the "current state" of my devices do not display. All timers, triggers, etc work so the ISY is functioningThe last time this happened the admin console was looking for a device and needed me to add it. The problem was the the request was displayed behind the admin console and I didn't see it, as soon as I clicked on "add" the problem went away. That is why I posted the image in post 15. Here is what is displayed in "about" Here is a pic of the admin window with no "current state" displayed.

I have a feeling this may be my problem. Behind the admin window I see this window and it is looking for a URL?
-
Nothing. Isn't 4.0.5 the current release? This is a new isy that replaced my old isy 26
-
If I can delete it, re-discover it and the ad it as a controller to existing scenes I can accomplish what I want easily
-
It's just in "my lighting" but delete doesn't seem to work?

Hi I replaced a kpl today and seemed to have issues so I reset it (air gap, etc). Now I want to remove it from the isy and start over again. I can't seem to delete/remove it, any suggestions?

Thanks for all your help. Everything seems to be working right now so I will just cross my fingers. I really have no idea what could have caused my problems and I will post again if I have future issues. I have been using my ISY for a couple of years with very few problems, this was kind of strange. I will also look at my exact Lat/Long but a minute off shouldn't make much difference to me. Thanks again Glenn

Hi Michel: If I check the local weather station the sunrise is off by just over a minute and the sunset by approx 2 minutes. I can't be sure the weather station is correct though? Everything in still working today. Thanks Glenn
-
Thanks Michel: I have selected Toronto, Ontario from the menu (that choice wasn't on the earlier version I don't believe. The sunrise times look to be within a minute or so - I am in Cambridge, Ontario (60 miles west of Toronto) Today, everything is working. I will have the ISY send me an email everytime the bathroom switch is turned on. Thanks Glenn

Hi Thanks for your help. First, the timers and triggers are working again. The sunrise/sunset times are off by about 15-20 minutes based on the local weather channel. I was able to turn devices on and off from the admin window but not after running the diagnostic event level 3 per your instructions. When I turned the switch on and off I saw no traffic and the "status" did not change. I am doing this from a mac currently. I opened and closed the admin console and now I see traffic and can change the status from the console. Here is the log file - (the triggers still work) Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:07 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 09.05.8E 00.00.01 CB 13 00 LTOFFRR(00) Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:07 AM : [standard-Group][09.05.8E-->Group=1] Max Hops=3, Hops Left=2 Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:07 AM : [ 9 5 8E 1] DOF 0 Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:07 AM : [ 9 5 8E 1] ST 0 Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:07 AM : [ 4 E5 7D 1] ST 0 Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:07 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 09.05.8E 05.E8.56 41 13 01 LTOFFRR(01) Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:07 AM : [standard-Cleanup][09.05.8E-->ISY/PLM Group=1] Max Hops=1, Hops Left=0 Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:08 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 09.05.8E 00.00.01 CB 11 00 LTONRR (00) Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:08 AM : [standard-Group][09.05.8E-->Group=1] Max Hops=3, Hops Left=2 Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:08 AM : [ 9 5 8E 1] DON 0 Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:08 AM : [ 9 5 8E 1] ST 255 Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:08 AM : [ 4 E5 7D 1] ST 255 Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:08 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 09.05.8E 05.E8.56 41 11 01 LTONRR (01) Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:08 AM : [standard-Cleanup][09.05.8E-->ISY/PLM Group=1] Max Hops=1, Hops Left=0 Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:09 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 09.05.8E 00.00.01 CB 13 00 LTOFFRR(00) Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:09 AM : [standard-Group][09.05.8E-->Group=1] Max Hops=3, Hops Left=2 Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:09 AM : [ 9 5 8E 1] DOF 0 Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:09 AM : [ 9 5 8E 1] ST 0 Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:09 AM : [ 4 E5 7D 1] ST 0 Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:09 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 09.05.8E 05.E8.56 41 13 01 LTOFFRR(01) Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:09 AM : [standard-Cleanup][09.05.8E-->ISY/PLM Group=1] Max Hops=1, Hops Left=0 Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:10 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 09.05.8E 00.00.01 CB 11 00 LTONRR (00) Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:10 AM : [standard-Group][09.05.8E-->Group=1] Max Hops=3, Hops Left=2 Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:10 AM : [ 9 5 8E 1] DON 0 Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:10 AM : [ 9 5 8E 1] ST 255 Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:10 AM : [ 4 E5 7D 1] ST 255 Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:11 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 09.05.8E 05.E8.56 41 11 01 LTONRR (01) Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:11 AM : [standard-Cleanup][09.05.8E-->ISY/PLM Group=1] Max Hops=1, Hops Left=0 Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:11 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 09.05.8E 00.00.01 CB 13 00 LTOFFRR(00) Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:11 AM : [standard-Group][09.05.8E-->Group=1] Max Hops=3, Hops Left=2 Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:11 AM : [ 9 5 8E 1] DOF 0 Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:11 AM : [ 9 5 8E 1] ST 0 Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:11 AM : [ 4 E5 7D 1] ST 0 Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:29 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 09.05.8E 00.00.01 CB 11 00 LTONRR (00) Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:29 AM : [standard-Group][09.05.8E-->Group=1] Max Hops=3, Hops Left=2 Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:29 AM : [ 9 5 8E 1] DON 0 Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:29 AM : [ 9 5 8E 1] ST 255 Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:29 AM : [ 4 E5 7D 1] ST 255 Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:29 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 09.05.8E 05.E8.56 41 11 01 LTONRR (01) Tue 03/16/2010 08:38:29 AM : [standard-Cleanup][09.05.8E-->ISY/PLM Group=1] Max Hops=1, Hops Left=0

This is strange, the triggers and timers worked for a while yesterday in the afternoon and then quit again. They currently don't work. When I look at the program summary there is no "last run" time no "last finished" time and no "next scheduled" time. I have copied a timer and trigger program here - both of these have been working fine for about 2 years: If Status 'Bathroom Switch' is Off And Control 'Bathroom Switch' is switched Off Then Set 'Bathroom Switch' 30% Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') --------------------------------- If From Sunset To 10:30:00PM (same day) Then Wait 31 minutes Set 'Garage Lights' 70% Set 'Front House Lights' 70% Set 'Sidewalk Lamp (Entry KPL)' 50% Set 'Garage Dormer Lights' 75% Wait 40 minutes Set 'Sidewalk Lamp (Entry KPL)' 30% Set 'Garage Lights' 40% Set 'Front House Lights' 40% Set 'Garage Dormer Lights' 50% Else Set 'Garage Lights' Off Set 'Front House Lights' Off Set 'Sidewalk Lamp (Entry KPL)' Off

Thanks Michel: That link worked fine to locate the ISY. Now I have another strange issue, the timers and triggers worked last evening, javascript:emoticon('') today the time switched to daylight savings time and the timers and triggers have quit againjavascript:emoticon('')? I checked the diagnostics on the PLM and it appears to be fine? Glenn

I upgraded and it seems to work fine, the only problem is when I cleared the Java cache I lost my desktop link to the ISY -- also the timers and triggers still don't work. I was able to get into the isy buy using http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/ on the mac I can't access any tabs other than the main tab and when I do it locks up. The same is not true on the PC Should I try unplugging the PLM and re-setting it? Thanks in advance Glenn

Thanks for the quick response. I do have 2.7.6 The scenes all work fine, it is the triggers and timers that do not. I have several triggers that are usually a double tap or turn off a switch when the lamp is already off. I will upgrade and see if that helps. The date seems to be correct.

Hi: i had this problem once before and the issue was that the PLM had lost it's links. This time, the links are all still there when I look at the PLM links table. I have re-booted the ISY but not the PLM yet, any suggestions? Scenes all work fine. Thanks in advance Glenn

That did it -- Thanks Rand. When something works this well you forget how you set it up -- I guess that's the sign of a good stable system!!
