I'm still getting the same error after the latest UDI mobile updates (Android). IoX is v 6.03.
I get this on Sync: (which is pretty slow)
Requesting Nodes for: Device 0. Error: There are no items in the NodeDefList. Family: Node_ServersInstance: 2
I have the "RainMachine" irrigation plugin in slot 2. I've uninstalled it, re-installed (same slot) with same result.
Through the Admin console the nodes are all there, and function properly, show status (though kind of slow to update) etc...
In UDI mobile, the nodes show up but you can't do anything with them - no status is shown, no "start" or "stop" etc... All you can do is edit the name of the node it seems.
Thanks for any help in getting this figured out.

I have the same versions of app (android) and iox and am seeing the exact same issue, except I see .....Node_Serverinstance: 2 in my case. All of my node servers show the correct number of nodes when I open polyglot, and they all work (seemingly) normally. All the devices show up in the app just fine, but every time I try to sync it get that same error. Never seen it prior to now.

I couldn't make a migration from Polisy / Zooz to Eisy / Zmatter work so ended up having to remove and re-add all my Zwave devices. They start around ZY14 or so. Is there a way to "see" what is in the dongle so I can delete devices that possibly aren't actually in my current ISY (or is it Iox now?) configuration? Zwave seems to be working like it should (despite some missing functions in certain devices though).
Thanks
-
With Polisy and Zooz dongle I could get a notification if someone entered using code #2, for example, but now this (and some other functionality) is missing from the drop down list while creating a program. Basic stuff is there however (is: locked, unlocked, jammed, etc...)
Anyone know how to regain this or if this might be something coming in a future update?
Thanks

...Figured most of it out. Not intuitive, not easy and not fun though.
Zwave had to be dynamited and redone from scratch, also ended up having to re-buy licenses for PG3 apps.
Probably missed some little tidbit of info that may have prevented the need for both of those, but I wasn't able to find it.
All seems to work now though.

I see what seems to be dated (~ a year ago) info in many posts, and some of the more current discussion involves migrating from a 994. Is there a post or wiki someone could point me to that assumes current Eisy sw version (just received it) and migrating from a Polisy with a PLM and Zooz dongle?
I don't want to blow up my working system, and it looks like there is a good possibility of that happening if I try and do this with the information I've been able to understand so far.
Thanks for any pointers or links that would make the chances of success greater.

EDIT: Due to bone-headed-ness and less than perfect vision, I finally saw that the IP address' first "." was actually a ":" So problem solved - sorry for chewing up bandwidth and please disregard the below as it relates to the ELK issue.
So after banging my head against the wall and reading all sorts of cryptic instructions (some older, some newer apparently), I "updated packages" on the ISY config page and Voila - the node servers are connecting and showing up in IoP.
The nodes are populating in the case of Rainmachine and Kasa, but the Elk Node server only has one node, and it is just basically a connection verification - no zone status etc...
It is also showing (in IoP) "Connected" but the M1XEP status show "false", implying the Node server and the IoP are communicating, but the Node server is not getting through to the M1XEP (ethernet connection to ELK). I used the exact same parameters that have been in my old ISY for years - same ip, same password, same port...
Tried "add all nodes" in IoP (there are about a dozen listed), but nothing populated in IoP.
Any ideas from those that use an Elk?
Thanks for all the assistance!

@telljcl Have you added your IoP to the PG3 settings?
Perhaps sharing some screen shots of what you see might help further, but sounds like you're on the right track.
Thank you - I added the IoP as you mentioned, but it appeared to be already in there. I made sure all the entries were identical to the link you provided though this time (IoP instead of ISY, etc...)
Attached are a few screen shots of what I'm seeing...

This is the place.
Since you've managed to purchase the node server on Polyglot, you're just about there. Click on the "Polisy Dashboard" button at the top of the page, which should take you to the Dashboard, and there you should find an entry for your new Rainmachine. You'll need to click on the "Details" button below that entry. That will take you to a new screen where you can control/configure your Rainmachine node server. Click the "Configuration" button, and follow the on-screen instructions for configuration. Save your changes and restart the node server, and the nodes (zones, programs, restrictions, precipitation) should populate in your ISY software on your Polisy. You may need to restart the Admin Console on your Polisy before the nodes appear.
Thank you!
So I had already done what you suggested (or at least tried...). Under "Configuration" I had entered the i.p. of my RM, the pw for it, and replaced "metric" with "us", and saved. But when I try "start", or "restart", it always immediately says "Not running" with the red "disconnected" badge at the top. Never seen it say "connected". Updating the parameters (though there are no on-screen instructions that you mention that I could see) gives green boxes on the right confirming Polisy (I presume) has accepted the input.
I suspect the issue could be that something isn't configured correctly in ISY on Polisy (IoP). Under "Node Servers", there is probably some procedure to link the RM node server on Polyglot? There is a list of pre-populated node servers listed under "node servers>add node", and several RM nodes are listed there (programs, zones, etc..) but I'm unsure about exactly how to configure this - if it is needed.
I appreciate your time and help!

Have just migrated most everything over from ISY994 and most things seem to work for now.
I have purchased this in the store, it shows in my account, but it shows as not running, and I can't seem to figure out how to configure it (i.e. tell it what the ip of my Rainmachine is, etc...)
Any basic direction would be appreciated, including where to ask this question if this isn't the place.
Thanks

Alright gents, I know there are some disagreements. However, one thing I think we can all agree on is that this is now offically a waste of everyone's time.
@telljcl I did less reading than you but took no verbal abuse from anyone in this forum by submitting a ticket and working with UDI support who were happy to help. A suggestion - work with UDI support for technical assistance. Work the forums for everything else.
@lilyoyo1 If you're not willing to help, consider not commenting and let someone else who is willing to help.
Agree with you 100%, and your advice is solid as well. Thanks.

I do the same thing (besides telling them to buy what I support so I know how it works. lol). Thats why its imperative that people take the time to read the resources in front of them instead of jumping in after skimming a few lines. It helps us help them when we all have a common experience to fall back on vs someone messing around and potentially hurting themselves more by doing the wrong things
Support ticket session verifies defective unit which must be replaced.
Difficult to read up enough to circumvent HW issues...

You haven't offended me. Since you said you did read the links, i apologize for thinking that you havent. It just didn't seem like you had read the posts since the wiki states (one of the links posted) that the password is admin.
I'm not trying to waste anybody's time. Sometimes things don't work like they should, and they didn't for me (using the PW admin over and over...), and still aren't, but I'll take it up privately with support.

@telljcl Try this. locate the small pin hole on the front of the Polisy and press it once, then sit back and wait at least 20 minutes. Try logging in again. I have a hunch the update didn't finish, this process may allow the update to finish properly.
Thanks - "admin" did allow me in finally, but only by using Putty as you suggested. Not sure why it didn't work the first two tries (with Putty - tried a dozen times before with SSH...), but after a reboot it got passed that screen. So it appears to be doing it's thing finally - thanks to all for taking the time to assist with issues.

Additionally, while I like the thought that @kzboray has for using Windows built in SSH process I prefer Putty
settings for Putty:
Thank you.
So I installed Putty, but unfortunately I get the same request for a password as in the screenshot I posted earlier (which is not mentioned - that I can find - anywhere in wiki or other links that I've read...)
I'll reiterate that this is not a request for the Polisy login password...
This seems very straightforward, but appears it is a windows / authentication issue more than a Polisy one. I'll try from another computer...

I take it that you didn't take the advice from us and take the time to read the links everyone provided you (including the wiki) since you're asking what's next. Since you're not willing to help yourself, I'm going to bow out of this one.
https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Polisy:User_Guide
I actually did read - quite a bit - sir. I, however, cannot seem to get to the point where all the information that is discussed in the generously provided links actually works - apparently because I have no way of even installing "ISY" SW on my very old unit. Most of what I could find references units that behave differently from my unit with it's original FW.
However I'm very sorry if I have inconvenienced or offended you in any way.

2 hours ago, kzboray said:@telljcl There is an excellent guide written by @dbwarner5 for migration from the ISY994i to the IoP (ISY on Polisy) here. I'd read this and then ask any questions you might have in the migration thread at:
https://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/34617-migration-to-isy-on-polisy-an-attempt-to-collect-organize-and-share-simplified-directions/
Because of the age of your Polisy you may run into issues doing the initial Firmware update. You can try the instructions contained in the above guide, but I suspect you will need to do the following only for the first firmware update. After the first time you can use the update option in the web GUI.
Thank you.
So because of the age of mine, and apparently not being able to move forward w/out updating to a remotely modern FW, I've tried the SSH method you outlined, and get a response wanting a password. Neither windows PW or Polisy PW works - have no idea what PW it is looking for. Take a look at the CMD window screenshot.
Do you have any thoughts on how to proceed?
Thank you!

Then you should be upgraded to 5.4.3 on your 994. If you're on 5.0.16C you're on an old firmware that has many updates and upgrades since. That's step #1.
Follow the steps outlined in the release post - https://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/33287-534-update-for-isy994-july-30-2021/
Then, as @lilyoyo1 suggests, read and understand the process. Read the wiki. It has commands you posted above. So, all the information is there to be consumed. You've just got to take the time to read it and understand what the steps do before you get too far down a path. Don't just read a line and do it. Know your plan for upgrading. Just in case you get interrupted in the middle of a step.
The key is...always allow plenty of time to pass before proceeding. Sometimes the update can take a while to download and install. So don't expect each step to take 30 seconds and try to perform the next before the system is ready to proceed. There was a report that one of the updates took ~10 minutes before the Polisy was ready to move ahead. I forget when/what that was, but just be prepared to wait until you hear beeps and have steady lights on the Polisy.
Post (in one place) when you have more questions. Bouncing back and forth aren't doing you any favors.
Appreciate the confirmation and tips on waiting etc...
One thing I know from owning an ISY for 12+ years I think is that the procedures to do things change along the way. So yes - I need to read through all those threads to make sure I don't miss something, and that I'm following the procedure for my FW etc...
BTW, I updated the 994i to 5.4.3 w/out any apparent issues. Step one, anyway.
Thanks

NodeDefList Error after 6.03 Update
in UD Mobile
Updated to 6.04 - same issue. During sync it pauses for about 20 seconds at "Getting Firmware Profile Files" before throwing that error.
Sorry, but could you give me the short version of opening a ticket - it's been awhile. Thank you.
