  1. Sorry I don't follow you on the "Ditto on the BLH Comment" comment.... Are you saying there are known issues with this dongle that is causing the drop? The strange part with the WeatherBug error is, I received that error while clicking "SetPoint Up 1 Degree" on the TStat. From what I get out of this though is I probably have some powerline issues and have dongle that is defective because of the way it was built. This is a bummer and I am sure they will charge to replace it as well.
  2. OK, so based on what you said I queried everything and is what I currently have going on. Venstar Thermostat: Query came back with no issues. Then I tried to increase the temp. by one degree and received this: TCP client read response failed [CLI-WBug] Pool Light: Came back with an error could reach it, but then I queried again it worked fine. Both of these are on different circuits.
  3. I know this has been covered a few times but I was hoping to get some help since I have tried everything and I still keep losing connections. The message I get is Cannot Communicate with "DEVICE". Please Check Connections. Here are my questions: What is the best way to get these devices back online? If this happens while I am away from my house then how can I get them back online? What could be causing this? Thanks!
  4. Hi James, I wish you would have tried to reboot the PLM first. If that did not work then reboot the ISY. The upgrade would not erase any existing links. Rand I did try rebooting just not in that order necessarily. If I experience the issue again I will try this. Thanks for the info....
  5. Not sure if this is related but the update went fine but then the next day I lost communication with all devices. I am in the process of re-adding everything now. Thanks, James
  6. Great, thanks for pointing me in the right direction. It looks like all I have to do is link to WeatherBug. Very cool!!!
  7. I have to agree with you lawr1000. I am not able to locate any personal weather stations in the ISY as well. This would would be a really nice feature to have in the ISY, as I could install a weather station in my back yard and base my programs off of my actual house weather. Here in Florida it could literally could be raining at my neighborer house and not mine. I would like to be able to base my sprinklers off the "actual" weather at my home. Michel, do you happen to have an update on this or maybe know why we cant see the personal stations through the ISY? Thanks, James
  8. Ok, I think I understand this now. I also have two sub panels. The main is on the outside of my house which has the main shut off, as well as the pool pump main breaker and the A/C breaker. Then I have a sub panel in my garage which controls everything in the house and for the pool there is on next to the pump. So if I understand this right I just need to pick up an access point, find a plug that is on the other phase and plug it in. Do I have this right or will I need two Access Points to couple the phases? I guess I was thinking the PLM and one Access Point would work to join them.
  9. Ok, from what I was reading that seemed to be the case but I wasn't exactly sure. Thanks for the information on this. One other question if you guys have the answer I would appreciate it. This is really a bummer and one of the main reason I bout the Insteon devices. I bought a SwitchLink Relay to control my pool pump. However I am not able to control it because it has its own breaker box outside. I understand you can phase couple.....is this what I should do in this case and how could I go about it? Are there any best practices/easiest approaches to get this to work? Maybe even a better switch I should have bought? Thanks again!!
  10. Hey Guys, I just picked up the ISY-99i and I am loving it. Here is my situation... I previously used the x10 security system to alert us of doors opening and motion. We use this to make sure our kids don't get out of the house or get by the pool. I would like to be able to integrate this with the ISY and use its benefits like alerting me remotely of the activity. I have read several forums that provide various answers but nothing exact. Basically, in the end I would like to have an automated house with the benefits of a monitoring/alarm system. Is there a way to take advantage of my x10 security equipment or should I get rid of it and try something else? I am trying to be a little cost conscience. Thanks for your help!!
