took out zwave card and sd card did seem lose. I reseated. My time action item (if this is switched on do this...) seems to be working. I will check dusk lights shortly. Appears it is fixed it. The internet cable is like a 12 inch cord but noticed it kind pf kinked. made a better loop. I will watch it and see if I still have issues. The SD card is old. I know I had to replace it once. I will watch now for the error cords for internet or SD card issues thanks

I did unplug the zwave card and powered up, then nothing worked. (unable to control lights though web interface) But thinking now, I might have not started a new ISY session (cleared java) on my computer. If I remove the zwave card, reboot, clear java, start new session on web should the system work normally? attached is recent error log. Maybe this might provide some insight? I have the ISY 994i PRO. Firmware and UI are 5.3.4 My issue started about 3 months ago. My timed functions or events will not work. I can use Alexa or Google and turn devices on and off via Alexa or phone with no issues. That always works just fine. I moved a year ago and had installed zwave card and module at old house. I no longer have any zwave devices and do not need zwave. However the menu is saying the Zwave dongle is not responding. I can't get to the advanced zwave menu that used to exist. I tried upgrading some zwave software some time ago, it tried loading for 20 seconds then errored out. I'm wondering if the non functioning zwave is causing my timed events to no longer work. Also there is no way for me disable or remove the zwave module. Again no issues with the PLM as Alexa and google work fine. The time programs just are not working. (at dusk turn this on, in 10 mins if this is switched on do, this... Any suggestions on troubleshooting this? Thanks ADAM

Hello, I'm a novice and not good with programming. Wondering if someone can provide some assistance on a simple program. I have a Z Wave garage door opener (GoControl/Linear GD00Z-4 Z-Wave Garage Door Opener Remote Controller) https://www.amazon.com/GoControl-Linear-GD00Z-4-Z-Wave-Controller/dp/B00M75TEIU/ref=sr_1_1?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1513880541&sr=1-1&keywords=GoControl%2FLinear+GD00Z-4+Z-Wave+Garage+Door+Opener+Remote+Controller I'm looking to create a program in ISY that will text/or email me when the Garage door has been open for longer than 10 minutes. I know how to setup the email/text notification. I'm just wondering a program to use that would text me only if the door has been opener longer than 10 minutes. It it is shut and open again, timer would start over and it would only text me after being opened for 10 minutes or longer. Thanks Adam

That's how I have been entering. no luck, times out.

I tried it this way multiple times on both IE and Firefox, it just times out, or says cannot connect to this page. It only seems to work from admin console. And I keep getting Java socket error message in the admin console.

(matching ip address on isy config page) port is 80..

The connection has timed out.

I'm not able to access via Firefox or IE. (I checked the port) still cannot access. Can access through admin console.

How would I log in from Firefox?

the result of step 7 was outlined in step 9. Still not working. In addition I keep getting a java socket error when in admin console. Also none of the devices are querying. Also the admin console is getting buggy and freezing after a few minutes, not changing tabs, or doing requested actions. I have cleared java, and downloaded the java app link to admin console. when the admin console freezes, I reload the admin console link and the Isy Finder is not finding my device. I have to power cycle the ISY and then click refresh on Isy finder for device to appear to open admin console again. I have tried multiple times.

No cloud hosted service or local network appliance. When I added new SD card I used an old back-up that I had no problems with. I still have not setup the portal link for amazon. I did unplug the PLM and power down/recycle/restart per above instructions. (all programs are still disabled) I did get one insteon device to come on, been a second later it said check connection, and unable to turn off. When I login admin console, it is busy is trying to do something for a about a minute. only a few devices are available. The rest say check connection (exclamation point). I tried another available device (turn on) and it quickly said check connection. Most devices have the exclamation point, while others have the green symbol "1011" Another odd thing, is when you click on a device, (turning on the hall light), there is no "status" of the device. There is little box that says current status, but it is empty. I have query on restart checked. It's odd this field is blank In regards to stuviews (post 2) I answered. There is no recent changes other than removing a printer. The ISY is plugged in same outlet as dsl modem/router. Has always been with no issues. There is no real computing equipment.

Ok I got once device to work. An old X-10 device (pool light). I can turn it on and off via admin console.None of the Insteon devices are connected. It just says check connections on the 20 or so insteon devices.

not sure what you mean about inbound streaming. no video or such. I disabled all programs and did hard reboot. Same thing. Nothing works. None of the devices are found. After a few minutes am now getting this error message "Socket open Failed java.net.SocketTimeoutException

The PLM is only connected near the router. And I have had no issues before. The only change to the house was unplugging/removing and tossing an old laser printer. No new appliances, etc.

Need assistance troubleshooting an issue. Select programmed timers randomly stopped work 2 weeks. Unable to use MobiLinc Pro app and amazon/alexa. When I log into admin console either I automatically get 20 pop ups unable "cannot communicate with xyz device" of all devices. Or they pop up one at a time each after 10 to 15 seconds. Unable to connect to anything. Unable turn anything on or off from admin console. It would appear to be a PLM issue. My PLM is 4 months old. However I ordered a new one, same issues with connectivity. I put in a new micro sd card, and used an old backup, same issues. Replaced cable from ISY to PLM twice (5e cable) still same issues. cleared java numerous times. reloaded java link to admin console The admin console is showing the PLM connected. firmware and UI are 4.5.4 My 8 button insteon keypads still turn devices on and off and the closets have insteon sensor that turns lights on and off, and there are no signal issues outside of ISY. Am I missing something? Could the actual ISY unit go bad? desperately seeking advice!

Hello, I have been a old school incandescent light bulb person for a long time. With the new year 2013, comes new laws, where 75 watts bulbs will no longer be sold. I'm afraid of change and hear a long list of issues with LED light bulbs, and fluorescent bulbs. (Bad color output, inconscient light output from brand to brand, and humming, flickering, etc, etc) I'm curious if anyone has tried the new SWITCH LED Bulb with Insteon/ISY? http://www.switchlightingco.com/specs.html I like the liquid filled idea. (and resemblance of a incadescent bulb) (This is not a advertisement, as I dont own one). Just wondering if anyone has tried this new bulb with Insteon devices and had any comments. (Just to note, I never typically dim a bulb lower than 40%) Does anyone have any other LED bulbs that have been successful and would recommend? (based on length of service with no problems, and perform well) Thanks Adam

I am looking to purchase a EZIO40 to run my sprinkers. (only 2 stations) I did not see much in the Wiki or forums about this device. Does this device work well with ISY? What is the best way to link this device to ISY? Once the device is linked, do the 4 different contollers appear in ISY, or does it require special scripting/programming to use? (I'm a newbie and have not used any of the advanced programming/scripts as of yet) In addition, does the EZIO40 have a programable fail safe off time. (After x number of minutes, turn controller off, so sprinklers would not run all day, causing flooding) or would this be setup in ISY? Thanks Adam

I pulled up the event viewer and it was not showing the X10 commands being sent by a different X10 controller. But I did receive an exchange/new PLM (2nd plm) and all my X-10 devices are working now (and appear in event viewer when sent by other devices) Looks like I had a bad PLM. (It was 2413S V1.7 - 1222) Thanks for your time.

It's got to be a defective PLM, I'm going to contact Smarthome. My house is only 1000 Square, I've never had any X10 signal issues. I pulled out my Old Smarthome ControLinc Maxi (that sends X10 signal) Plugged into the same outlet as the PLM and every X10 device will turn on and off. (None will work with the new PLM) Btw I'm working on the Insteon transition. (Some of us are slower than others !) Have about 6 Insteon devices and 14 X-10 devices. I just haven't been in a hurry because I have never had X10 transmission issues.
-
None of the X10 devices will turn on or off. Are the newer PLM's more sensitive to line noise? Could it be a defective PLM? or network cable? I never had X10 issues on my old PLM (used 4+ years) until recently. Then I noticed when logging into the ISY it was having issues (safe mode - plm not found) I would unplug the PLM and plug it back in and it worked for a few days... Then I purchased the new PLM. Could it be the cable?
-
Ok I did this. How long should this process take? Now All my Insteon devices are working, but NONE of my X10 devices are working. Why would X10 devices no longer work? Any suggestions?

I have been having problems with a 4 year PL. I ordered a new one (2413S V1.7) but am having problems getting it to work. I have tried swaping then rebooting ISY... unpluging ISY, then swaping PLM'S then plugging in , restore modem, but still not able to get the new PLM to work.. How can I get the new PLM to work???? I'm on 3.2.4 (ISY 99i 1024) Thanks

I'm new to ISY and only have a few insteon devices installed. (Mainly use older X10 modules) I am requesting assistance with correct setup of the SwitchLinc 2476S in ISY. (new device) I'm confused on the controller vs. responder installation. Which should I be using? The switchlinc will be used to controller malibu lights in the back yard. Just needing simple on/off control, and will use a time of day setting to simply turn them on and off. They will not be part of any scene. Thanks Adam
