  1. Yes, the time shown in the administrative console (in IE/Windows/Parallels/OSX) falls behind actual time as I leave the window open. The time in OSX and Windows seem to be synchronized - they don't seem to differ - I have not seen OSX and Windows/Parallels have any time difference. But I will admit I haven't kept close watch on it. At this very moment, OSX and Windows say the time is 6:43 and the administrative console is showing 6:41. The difference grows larger the longer the administrative console is left open. As I have said before, if I logout of the administrative console and log right back in, the time is correct. I have cleared the Java Cache in Windows(numerous times).
  2. In the "native" Mac/OSX/Firefox everything is fine. Time stays synchronized (over hours). In the Mac/OSX/Parallels/Windows XP/IE time falls behind. The only scenario I haven't tried is booting entirely into Windows (no OSX running) and trying IE. This would probably be the environment that most users are in. In order to do that I have to shutddown my whole Mac/OSX world. It's an experiment that I can do if you want.
  3. Windows running in Parallels is all of the normal Windows. The Control Panel / Java is there. I can't remember positively if the firmware updated or not. I believe it did (to 2.6). I got my ISY about 2 weeks ago. Anyway, I did the Java Cache clear in Windows. After about 45 minutes of running the time in the administrative console is about 2 minutes behind the computer time. This is not a big problem for me. It just made interpreting some of the program summary run times confusing. I now know that I should look at the computer time when checking program run times.
  4. First, the Firefox running natively in OSX keeps time display perfectly. I am confused about the clearing the Java cache. Are you talking about the cache in OSX? Or the one in Windows? When I have the problem, I am running IE in Windows in a Parallels VM window. That would seem to indicate that it would be Java in Windows since the OSX Java is not involved. I can't find how to clear the Java cache in Windows. I've looked in IE settings and can't find anything about clearing the Java cache. There's a general clearing of temporary files. I am also confused about how frequently the Java cache should be cleared. Hourly? Weekly? Every time I want to start up the administrative console? Reboot every time? Since this solution seems to be the source of many problems, it would be nice to know exactly how frequently it needs to be done.
  5. Yes, when I log back in the time comes back to the same as my computer time. Just for the record, I am running the console in IE7 running in Windows XP which is being run in a Parallels virtual machine on my Mac/Leopard. I have found that I like the ability to sort on a column in the Program Summary tab and so I have reverted to using Windows. I have not checked this behavior in OSX/Firefox combination. I will check and report back later.
  6. v2.6 (latest?)
  7. I notice that time-of-day display in the web interface is quite a bit behind the current (correct) time. I can synchronize the time with my computer and maybe an hour later the web interface is 5 minutes slow. If I log out of the web interface and then immediately login, then the time is back to being in synch with the computer. I don't know if this has any operational meaning but it can be confusing at times. (when looking at the times programs have run etc).

    after power fail

What happens after a power fail and then the power is restored? I know that programs can be designated to run at reboot and I assume they are run unconditionally at reboot. Running the "then" actions? I have performed some experiments and have seen the ISY running some of my programs (that are not set to run on reboot). Does the ISY go through the time (from midnight) running each program as required reaching the current time? And then setting the Insteon devices to the final states? During a simulated power-fail (unplugging power to ISY), I have Insteon devices being set to state that they weren't in before the power fail. I apologize if this has been answered before but I could not locate a specific answer.
