  1. Ok. Thanks very much. I had already anticipated that the April backup was a complete one and had already done your step 1. I saw "restoring ...PGM" I am now back in operation. I will do the rest of the steps. I don't remember changes since April but they are probably small tweaks and not meaningful. I should use the URL? http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/
  2. It's an ISY-26. Currently I use the URL http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/ At some point earlier this year, I used the URL file:///Users/davidward/Desktop/isy-1.jnlp I have a Mac and have had some issues with the Administrative Console working properly so I switched URLs at some point. I don't know if I know the time when I switched URLs - there was some discussion in the Mac OS forum about improving the operation of the Admin Console. I have just looked at my backups. Back in April the size of the "zip" file is bigger - 33 Kb. My later backups were 12Kb. Could this bigger backup contain the program? Should I attempt a restore from the bigger backup?
  3. The last 3 backups have been sent. I suspect that I upgraded to v2.7.0 in Feb 2009 when it was announced since it was an official release at that time.
  4. PLM Info/Status reports C.A6.13 v63 / Connected I have backups roughly every month since Nov 2008. I can't tell you when I last updated the firmware in the ISY-26. I have one very old backup from Feb 2008 that has a slightly different file name than the more recent backups. (it's called ISY-JSDK-2.5.zip). I may have some even older backups on another computer - not as easily obtained. And I am concerned that my programs may have changed since then - of course, I would prefer to use the newest backup possible since it will have my later tweaks.
  5. My ISY-26 did not seem to be executing some of my programs. This system and devices have been running long term (a year or more) just fine. I have done a "restore ISY", "restore Devices", "restore modem PLM". My programs are completely gone. The ISY-26 restore was done from a "backup ISY" from about a month ago. I am running v2.7.0 software and have been for some time.
  6. I am using version 2.7 I used 2.6 for a very long time and switched over to 2.7 recently (when it became officially released). Never used any of the "betas". I too had the "daylight savings" checked. And synch with the NTP server. But I am not having a problem since the reboot. As I mentioned in an above post, programs referring to sunset ran at the correct time. But programs running at stated times ran 1 hour late.
  7. oberkc, I had the same problem as you did with daylight time. I also found that I could not manually adjust time or sync with my computer. I found that rebooting the ISY cleared the problem.
  8. further information, During some experimentation, I ended up rebooting the ISY. After the reboot, the displayed time was correct (daylight) time. None of my programs have run to determine if all is on schedule but the display is now correct. The "synchronize with computer time" and "manually set time" appear to also work after the reboot.
  9. I am using http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/ Further observation, As noted before, programs set to run at sunset-x seem to run at the correct time. But I have noticed that programs set to run at specific times (e.g. 10 PM) are running an hour late (11 PM).
  10. sub-routine, I cleared the Java cache as described in the instructions. It did not change the display of time (standard time shown). I repeated the cache clear procedure and the time display is still wrong. As before, when I attempt to adjust the time manually, I get the "request failed" response. The saving grace is that the programs seem to be executing at the proper time regardless of the display.
  11. I have found that daylight saving adjustment did not occur overnight. I also find that I cannot adjust the time manually. I have tried to synchronize with my computer. Or manually adjust time. The result is the same: "request failed". I had the ISY-26 set to sync with the NTP server. I tried turning that off and it did not help my manual adjustment. I am running the version 2.7 (recent) release. I am using a Mac with Safari 4 (beta) browser. Other things seem to operate normally. On further investigation, My programs seem to be happening at the correct time (sunset-30 for example). But the display of current time and the sunset time are one hour off. So this seems to be a display problem. I have also opened the Admin console with Firefox and the time of day displayed is standard time (incorrect).
  12. I am using a keypadlinc secondary button (D) as a "run schedule" control. When the D-button light is OFF my schedule is not run by the ISY and conversely, when the D-button light is ON the schedule is run by the ISY. (I use the state of the D-button as a folder conditon on a series of programs). In a generally steady-state situation this works correctly. Sometimes I find the schedule is not being run even though the keypadlinc D-button is ON. I have further found that the state of the button is shown as a blank in the Main tab of the admin console. If I run a query, the state remains blank even though the D-button light is ON. The only way I have found to correct the situation is to press the button (turning it OFF) and then press it again turning it ON. Then the state of the D-button will be shown correctly ON and the schedule will be run. I have more recently found that if the ISY has experienced a power-fail, this "blank" state is seen. How can I make the ISY reliably see the state of the keypadlinc secondary button? And recover from this power-fail conditon?
  13. Ok. That makes sense since the behavior started when the v2.7 console started in use. It's not a big problem for me, but I just wanted to report it in case it was symptom of something bigger. I am looking forward to the v2.7 release.
  14. At this point I have logged into the admin console about 20 times with no failures using the local IP address. I will keep trying and report further.
  15. My ISY-26 is at v2.6 (last official release) I don't have a readout using the local IP address. Let me try some logins using the local IP address and report back.
  16. Ever since the switch to v2.7 of the admin console, I have noticed a problem when I log into my ISY-26. I have a bookmark to http://www.universal-devices.com/MyInsteonISY/ and it appears to turn into http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/. I am able to login normally. But admin console does not display the devices in my network. "My Network" is there but none of my devices are listed. My solution is to close the browser and restart it. Then login again and the devices will be listed. I would estimate this happens maybe 30-40% of the time I try to login. I am running Max OSX 10.5.4 with Firefox 3.0.1.
  17. I am using an EZSnsRF with Dakota sensors. I have the EZSnsRF linked successfully to the ISY-26 and can see the state of the Dakota sensors changing from off to on (triggered). My problem is that if I have a program If 'sensor1" is switched On Then set 'warning light' On The triggering of the sensor1 doesn't cause the warning light to be turned on. If I use the program If 'sensor1" is On Then set 'warning light' On Does successfully turn the warning light on when sensor1 is triggered. What is the difference between "switched On" and "is On"? I know that "switched On" implies an transition between off and on will cause the "Then" to be executed. But in my case it fails. The sensor1 goes from off to on and "then" is not executed. But if I use the "is On" condition it works Ok.
  18. Recently I had an extended power fail. The power was off for about 8 hours. After the power was restored I discovered that the time was behind actual time about 2 hours. I assume there is a battery keeping the clock running. Is there something wrong with my ISY? It is only about 5 months old. My experience with computers is that the CMOS battery will support the clock for a very long time (months at least).
  19. After logging in to my ISY26 I received a window with "AutoUpdate Status - authorization failed". What does this mean? A version update failed? I would note that I recently changed to a new router than I have been using before. I don't know if this has any connection to the message.
  20. Yes, if you don't enable the macros the log won't work. I mentioned the Security Warning in my post above. My question is: How do you enable this macro permanently? I have opened the "trust center" and you can see locations where trusted content is listed. I have attempted to add the file (containing the macros?) C:\documents and settings]\(my name)\local settings\temp\ud.xls but the "trust center" won't accept it. There should be a way to tell Excel that macros from Universal Devices contained in that file are not a security risk.
  21. I have an ISY_26 so the following comments may not apply... I have Office 2007 and it works properly. I do have to manually allow macros to run each time I ask for a log. There is a a bar which appears at the top of the spreadsheet titled "Security Warning" and you have to click on Options and then allow macros to run. I cannot figure out how to tell the "trust center" to always allow the macros run. When I ask for a log I end up with 2 instances of Excel running. The first has "ud.xls" open and the second has "UDReport.rtf" open. The UDReport file contains the actual log while the ud.xls appears empty.
  22. I am very interested in recovering my programs and avoiding the work of re-creating them. I can't be certain but I believe the code version was 2.6 - it was whatever version was generally available via the normal update mechanism. I can probably handle the technical part if you would provide the detail.
  23. My ISY died earlier in the week and I obtained a replacement unit. I have a "backup ISY" which is a "zip" file. When I received the replacement ISY, I did a "restore ISY" and all my devices are shown but none of the programs. I would also note that the replacement ISY included a new PLM which I replaced at the same time as the ISY. How do I get my programs? Are they lost?
  24. Michel, The time in OSX and Windows seem to be always in synch. I have never seen them differ. I see the time in the adm console in IE/Windows/Parallells/OSX fall behind frequently as much as 5 minutes. I have seen the time come back into sync with real time (OSX/Windows). It doesn't seem to be on 5 minute intervals. My estimate its on a longer period that the correction happens (maybe 30 minutes?). The two cases that I have observed, the time got correct at about 25 after the hour and another case about 5 minutes after the hour.
  25. Michel, I have watched the adm console time closely. It does look like the time is coming back into synch with operating system time every once in a while. So maybe your re-synch every 5 minutes is working. I am going to monitor more carefully for awhile.
