Has anyone written a program that will sense a garage door is open and keep repeating the announcement via Alexa until action by myself turns it off? Frank Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

1: What is the correct color wiring and connected to where? 2: Unable to connect to PLM 3: right now I have the ethernet cable (gold or clear colored) connected to the side of the eisy. This is connected to the USB adapter which then connects to the PLM via the blue USB to Serial 2413S ver 2.1.

Does anyone know if the Aeotec 7 MultiSensor will work in the UD 994iz Pro and if yes, instructions on inclusion instruction. Frank Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Motion Detector 2844-222 Lost Temp, Battery Level
frank replied to gunslinger020@yahoo.com's topic in ISY994
I have the same problem which O posted a couple weeks ago. The ONLY data I get is motion detection. Temp, luminance and battery level all froze up and don’t send data any longer. I tried a new battery with zero results Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Thanks for the feedback. Have already done the above. Will wait for 24 hrs and see if any parameters may be affecting the performance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Firmware and UI both 5.3.2. 1 sensor is Insteon MS II 1 sensor is Zooz ZSE29 ver 2.0 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No, did not recently do an upgrade. Asking if anyone else is experiencing a similar problem before I go replace the batteries because of difficult location to get to. I’m running 5.3.2 at the moment. Just ironic that both quit at the exact same time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just had 2 motion sensors from 2 diff companies, go dead at same time and wondering if a coincidence or are others having the same problem? Has anything changed on the ISY994iz ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Try using “ON” and “OFF” instead of “Fast on” and “Fast off” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Mustang65, Thanks for the update. That is exactly to results I experienced. It appeared, in my experiment, the solar cell only had a MINOR influence on the life of the battery and what I actually experienced was just the typical life of the 1.2v battery in a scenario similar to yours. Not sure, but I think I didn’t have enough current from the solar to fully charge the battery each day. If you come up with a solution, please advise and I will do the same. Mustang65. Thanks for the update. Appreciate the info. I’m going to give it a second try on my mailbox sensor and if successful I’ll try on my motion sensors frank

Mustang65. Thanks for the update. I posted last week but guess it didn’t go thru. Where in the solar charging circuit did you tap in and did you use the battery that came with the solar light or did you stay with the Insteon battery? Did you consider using both in parallel? frank

Great info Mustang65. I tried using solar cells bought off Amazon that did not keep the battery charged. I also used a high capacity battery. I will probably try using the lower capacity battery and a repurposed solar light. Thanks for keeping us updated.

Thanks for the feedback Mustang65 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks for the thorough feedback. Please keep us updated as I’m sure many of us would love to reduce battery changes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks, I’m really interested in the results. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If I am correct, you need more than 1.5 v to charge a 2.5 v battery. I think 20% more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sounds interesting. Please keep me updated. I would also like to see the schematic of how you will tap into the solar charging circuit and how you will implement the 10k pot. Most solar lights use a voltage multiplier circuit to increase the voltage from the battery after the photo cell determines it is dark enough to turn on the LED. Do you tap into the circuit before or after the multiplier circuit? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

From my ISY994 iz. The 60 minute interval is much too long especially since when the lights are on and a request is issued to report the luminance, one may have to wait a full hour before it reads again and is dark enough to trigger the program. I am using a level of less than 10 luminance along with motion detected to trigger my occupancy program. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Was just trying to stay consistent and use “Fast On/Off” instead of “ “On/Off”. Learned and wanted to pass along we can NOT use Fast On/Off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

A problem exists with this device in that a Fast On or Fast Off command DOES NOT WORK. you must use either On or Off command to have the device correctly respond to upper or lower outlet. When using either the Fast on or Fast off command ONLY the upper outlet is the only outlet to respond correctly. I am using 5.0.15A Frank Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

BTW, This all became a problem when I attempted, 3 times, to upgrade to 5.0.25A with the 300 Dongle and experienced this degradation in signal strength. The 500 Dongle did not improve the performance so I suspect the problem lies somewhere in the upgrade to 50.15A. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The multi sensor is on batteries as is the second device which is a open close sensor. Both worked no problem on 4.7.3 with the 300. The Aeotec multi sensor is about 8 feet from the range extender and range extender is about 30 feet from ISY. The range extender has been moved many times closer to and further from the ISY as well as the multisensor. The problem seems to only occur when the ISY is awakening the devices and waiting for an ACK. I-get an error almost every time. Appears to me as a timing conflict between the ISY and the devices or possibly some sort of collision of data. The devices appear to be operating correctly except for these error which reduce my confidence in their reliability to present accurate data when it is critically required. You’re second paragraph is precisely what I am experiencing. But My understanding is the 300 Dongle will not work with 5.0.15A. Is that correct? I have tried the range extender in multiple locations and yes, also tried healing; zero help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
