Thanks to all who have responded. I have settled on a flow “switch” instead of a flow “meter”. With the switch I will connect to an open/close device to monitor if water is flowing or not. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Any suggestions on ANY generic type Hall effect type device? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
-
It’s a Uxcell model 9F:1404-0101-00P 1/2 inch that uses Hall effect. Has three leads coming out. Red, black and yellow. Not so concerned about volume of water in any period of time, just want to confirm my ball valve was turned off and NO water is flowing. This flow sensor will be installed after the ball valve and before entering the pool plumbing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I purchased a valve with a flow sensor imbedded and looking for best method to interface with isy994i. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Does anyone know of a simple water flow device that is either Insteon or Z Wave? I would like to verify that water is NOT flowing when solenoid is turned off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Does anyone have a suggestion on a reliable program to do the following while using the Insteon on/off window switch to control an on/off Insteon outlet switch: Between 1:00am and 2:00am If window sensor is on Turn on outlet switch( which will activate a solenoid) Stay on for 45 minutes or until window sensor turns off Verify outlet is off Reset for next cycle Thanks, Frank Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks Teken. I will probably give the open/close device a try. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Very close to what I’m thinking. I am imagining using a solenoid at 12 volts wired to a transformer plunged into an on/off zwave or Insteon switch. That will satisfy my “control” I am still looking for a solution as to how to wirelessly determine the level of the water in the pool so I can use that information to run a program to control when to turn on/off the water valve. It must be a wireless water level transmitter because I can’t run wiring. Thanks for the inputs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks everyone. Certainly some good suggestions to contemplate. Appreciate all the responses. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I was thinking of using an Insteon water leak sensor but do not know if when it senses the water will it quickly drain the battery? Does someone have a suggestion on how this may be implemented? Will it continue transmitting as long as it senses water? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My biggest problem is I do not have a float and need some wireless method to detect when the water is to a level I have pre selected which I could then use to control a solenoid to allow water to enter the pool. Either an Insteon or zwave method to determine the water level would be the preferred solution. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks Mustang65. I’m hoping to find a wireless(waterproof) sensor that will xmit to either zwave or Insteon or possibly a dedicated receiver that I can then access in a program to control a valve inserted in the return line of the pool system. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Has anyone tried putting together a wireless swimming pool water level sensor and controller? If so could you share your success on this forum? I’m looking to maintain the water level in my pool to compensate for evaporation and don’t want to break up concrete to run wires. Frank Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks Andy, Appreciate the response Frank

Thank Andy, I will give this a try. Question though, if I disable program2, will it still function? Frank

Would like to request assistance in programming an Aeotec MultiSensor to sense both Luminance and motion. If I use the if statement and try to turn a light on with both motion and luminance less than 50 lux, the light turns on but as soon as the multisensor sees the light the value changes from the luminance and therefore will not work for an occupancy detector. The if statement goes false as soon as the value increases above 50 lux. The only control I have of this value is the time between sending the report from the z wave device which I would like to keep at 30 seconds as I am using the USB power and not concerned about battery life. Also have a question regarding the Then statement. Is there any way to stop the then command once it has been started, such as when used in a timer situation when it gets started because no motion was detected but during the wait time of say 2 minutes, motion is again detected and I wish to keep the lights on until no motion is detected? If anyone has a good program for occupancy detection utilizing an Aeotec MultiSensor, I would appreciate seeing it. if control z sensor is switched on and status z sensor is < 50 lux then set kitchen lights on else Thanks, Frank
