I have been too busy at work and have not had time to make a list. Sorry.

Will have a list soon.

I recently moved and removed the entire Insteon system. In my present home I luckily went the open source route this time and am happy with the system (so far). Needless to say I have a rather large collection of Insteon devices that I no longer need. I am NOT giving the devices away. I want to see if there is any interest in them? I need to make a list of exactly what I have. I also have a box of devices that failed in one way or another which will be included. I would rather not split up the lot.

After a few hours of the MS2 not triggering a scene, it started working again with me doing nothing. I did not try powering the MS2 with usb yet.

The MS2 worked for 1 week since my last post. Today it has stopped triggering the scene with a KPL and a light. Would like UDI to ring in on this issue if possible?

Yes it is a very strange issue. Pressing the set button on the MS2 triggers the scene on and off but the ISY ignores motion triggers. Seems to be some silence from UDI on MS2 integration! Go figure.

The MS2 is currently working okay, but time will tell. I will try powering it from USB and the battery shows 90%. I am not triggering any programs, just a scene with a switch and KPL.

I have a ISY994i on 5.0.15A and I am experiencing a ongoing issue with the Motion Sensor 2. I can add it to the system just fine but after a random period of time (maybe a day) it will quit activating a scene. I am sure it is not a comm issue because I can press the set button to turn the scene on and off from the MS2 location. It seems any motion that is detected is not being sent to the ISY. Should a motion event show up in the event viewer? The event viewer shows my set button presses but not motion events when this issue is present. I have tried 3 MS2"s and all have the same issue. Am I correct that a motion detection event should look the same as a set button press on the MS2 in the event viewer? I read a another post from a member with the same issue.

larryllix I tried what you recommended on adding the MS2 to a scene vs a program. MS2 seems much more responsive and reliable, Thanks.

Thanks for all the responses! Lots of good info.

No replies! I guess there really is a lack of information on this device.

I am currently on 5.0.15A and just started using a 2844-222 Motion Sensor 2 and found there there is a lack of information on implementing the device with the ISY 994i. I found a couple threads on some of the settings and usage but nothing like a wiki. Would like to know how to properly configure the device in the options dialog. I set most of the settings I am familiar with but just not sure on some of the values that are entered by default. I have the MS2 activating a scene to turn on the kitchen light (LED fluorescent tubes) for 5 minutes then turn off. The problem I am having is that sometimes when motion in the kitchen continues the wait time in my program times out and does not get reset then light turns off. I guess it could be a RF comm issue with no access points or dual band devices close enough. Will have to do some testing with the event viewer. I really would like to see a official UD Wiki on implementing the Motion Sensor 2 with the ISY 994i. Is the jumper inside the MS2 for sensitivity? How does this internal jumper relate to the sensitivity setting in the options dialog?

I figured it out! Had to delete then recreate the programs with the warning comments. Thanks for the help.

I am sure this has been answered before. What could be causing the "//Warning: Unrecognized Action ( Program may not run)" message in some of my programs? I am on 5.0.15.

Thanks for the help

Did exactly what you said and all is working. Now to replace the failed device and add it to my box of other failed insteon devices.
-
Thanks! Will try just that.

I am on 5.0.15 and I have a 2876D3 icon dimmer which is defective and needs replaced. My question is can the failed device cause other devices in the same program to not be triggered on?. The devices that are not being turned on are all called in the same program. The attached photo shows the defective device highlighted in red and the devices that are not being turned on in yellow. The air gap is pulled on the icon dimmer that is defective. Should I try removing the defective device from the program? Could this be a bug? Never experienced this type of issue before.

I see a way to generate a token and use it as your password. I may try this: Create a custom app in you Gmail security settings. 1. Log-in into Gmail with your account 2. Navigate to https://security.google.com/settings/security/apppasswords 3. In 'select app' choose 'custom', give it an arbitrary name and press generate 4. It will give you 16 chars token. Use the token as password in combination with your full Gmail account and two factor authentication will not be required. This account is only for the ISY so may just disable 2FA.

I am using a gmail account with 2 factor authentication activated for ISY email notifications. Any way for this to work? Thanks.

I ended up cutting a piece of clear poly carbonate about 2" x 3.5" then used clear double sided tape to make a temporary cover for the KPL. Worked great to keep the kids off the KPL's and is easily removable. A lock feature built in to the KPL firmware would be a nice addition.
-
Thanks for all the ideas on a solution. May just pull the air gap for the time being. Switching to programs instead of using scenes should be a good solution as they can be disabled easily.
-
I disabled the KPL in the admin console and all scenes associated with the disabled keypad still function as normal? Disabling the KPL does not disable the KPL! Seems strange as no progress bar showed up when disabling the kpl!
-
Is there any simple way to disable a KPL when my grand kids visit? I know I can pull the air gap but the kids tend to just press the air gap button in when playing with the KPL. Is there any way to have a program in the ISY to accomplish this by disabling scenes? disable the KPL?
