Everytime I open the admin console I get a "cant communicate with remotelinc" error. The remotelinc works fine, what could cause this? ISY 99i 3.13

I have a couple of scenes using a controlinc and the scene seems to work as it should . The problem is the controlinc does not show up in the list of devices added to the scene, even though it added to the scene just fine? The controllinc was linked to the ISY-26 quite a while ago, there have been many updates since then. Should I relink the controlinc to the ISY? I have another question! I have a IOLinc and would like to know how the options for the sensor relate to the options for the relay? they seem to be the same. ISY-26 2.7.2

I am seeing a different update instructions for the ISY-26. Is this due to inadequate hardware or lack of memory or both? If the 26 uses a pic micro controller maybe a user installable hardware update for 26 users could be possible?

Still not working here. I am not getting the "request failed" error but still no email going through!

I will send you the account info! I will send you the info to log into my ISY if that would help? I really need the notifs to work and I know you do not want me using the default. Thanks

I installed the certificate, I also created a second gmail account to see if that was the problem, no luck!

No Luck with port any port setting in the ISY! I can telnet to smtp.gmail.com 465 or port 587 or 25 and connect just fine. So my isp is not blocking any ports. I tried disabling windows firewall, router firewall, still no good. Why does the default setting work?

This issue is getting quite annoying! The only alerts I can get to function is the default. The NTP works fine, POP is enabled in my gmail account I even tried disabling my antivirus software. I can ping smtp.gmail.com with no problems. I am at a loss to figure this out?

No luck using your account! What should a notification look like in the log? I do not see anything in my log that looks like a notif sent? I still get the "Request Failed " also.

I see no 5000x errors in my log! The only way I can receive notifications is by using default. Anything else I can try?

I installed 2.6.8 and still cannot get the notifications working with my gmail account! When I press "Test" i get "request failed"

I cannot get any notifs to work tried my ISP, google and no luck! Any fixes?

So this is a known bug when trying to use Gmail for notifications? Are others having this issue?

I tried to setup gmail for notifications but when I hit test it shows "request failed"? using 2.6.7

Works great NOW! Thanks Mike I have another question! If I want to setup a virtual 3 way switch between 2 devices how do I create a scene where each device is both a controller and responder?

The RL is listed in "my Lighting" but not using it in any scenes. I think I linked the RL manually, not through the ISY. Do I need to create scenes with the RL for the ISY to track status of devices? I am not sure how the "ALL ON" and "ALL OFF" buttons relate to the ISY?

I am using a remotelinc in my family room to to control a few devices. Before I go to bed I sometimes hit "ALL OFF" on the remotelinc. If I log into my ISY-26 admin console after hitting "ALL OFF" on the remotelinc the status of all the devices that are turned off by the remotelinc are still showing their previous dim levels even though I turned them OFF. Should the ISY pickup the status of devices turned off by a remotelinc? If I do a query on My lighting the ISY shows the correct updated status. Maybe I should not use "ALL OFF" on the remotelinc? Write a program to turn devices off?

I found the isy cable Logged in with hyperterminal and found I had set the IP to 192.169.0.140 I would have had a hard time finding that! Everything is fine now. The "My Lighting" icon still does not work since upping to 2.6.5 but I think you guys are aware of the upnp issue. By the way I used a USB to serial cable and the isy cable on my laptop and it worked fine. Thanks for the help! You guys are great!

I tried Hyperterminal with no luck. I could connect with hyperterminal but could not type any characters. Do I need to use the supplied cable? I used a db9 female to db9 female serial cable plugged into port B.

I used telnet to change the ip from 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.140 now I cannot get into the ISY at all. I am using 2.6.5. Something must have went wrong when changing the ip. I can get to the admin console but it never gets to the username and password? I get the error "socket open failed java.net socket timeout exception" I cannot reset anything without getting into the unit?

When I log into the ISY-26 from my laptop wirelessly, I get the following error: (Event received for a different subscription; Restart! uuid:6) I only get this error from the laptop wirelessly.

I'm having the same troubles as others are with the update.I can get in with the /27
