Not exactly a Google Home topic, so please move it if there's a better forum. Is it possible to capture events from my Nest smoke detectors with the ISY? Specifically, if an alarm goes off, I would like to turn off some devices (my whole house fan) and turn on all lights. I have the ISY portal, and have my ISY connected to Google Assistant already. Thanks!

paulbates, thank you - your reply gave me what I needed to figure it out. The DNS server I had been using is apparently no longer valid, which the NTP query tipepd me off to. Updated that and we're in business. Thanks again!

My ISY is showing offline in the my.isy.io portal page. The ISY itself shows Offline, Registered under Portal Integration - UDI, with only a refresh button. It's been this way for over a week. I've tried deleting the ISY and re-adding it from the portal page, along with updating from 4.5.4 to 4.6.2, with no change. What am I missing? How do I get things talking again?

I hadn't correlated it with the programs, but that's what it is. Mine is an Enerwave ZW500DM switch. Like above, manually controlling it from the admin console works fine. I have a program setup so that a KeypadLinc button can control the Z-wave switch, and that's what triggers the Failed Comm alert. I'm on 4.5.4.

Is there any way to disable the 'Failed Communicating with device' alerts in the admin console, at least for issues that happen while the console isn't actually open? Every time I open the console I have to click through about 40 of these. They're all for 2 Z-wave switches, which both work without issue, so I've never bothered trying to figure out why the ISY doesn't like them. But the alerts are annoying

I second the request to make the only ISY the preferred - this had me beating my head against the wall this weekend.

Is there a maximum length for the cable between the ISY & PLM? I'm using a 2413S, the ISY has its own power supply. Thanks!

I would like to make the light in my bedroom come on to only 50% when turned on from dusk to dawn, and 100% during the day. The light is on a FanLinc, if that matters. I have 2 programs setup now, but apparently I'm missing something. The light stays at 100% on level all the time. I'm turning it on with button A on a 6-button KPL, or an 8-button RemoteLinc, both of which are controllers in the 'Master Bed Light' scene? Any ideas what's wrong? OnLevel Day: If Time is Sunrise + 15 minutes Then In Scene 'Master Bed Light' Set 'Master Bedroom FanLinc-Light' 100% (On Level) In Scene 'Master Bed Light' Set 'Master Bedroom FanLinc-Light' 0.2 Sec (Ramp Rate) Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') OnLevel Night If Time is Sunset - 15 minutes Then In Scene 'Master Bed Light' Set 'Master Bedroom FanLinc-Light' 50% (On Level) In Scene 'Master Bed Light' Set 'Master Bedroom FanLinc-Light' 2.0 Sec (Ramp Rate) Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')

Here's what I am using. Only had it going for a couple days (since 3.2.0) but so far no problems. The only thing I haven't got in place yet is a scene to control the keypad LEDs, as right now the LED can be off when the fan is on and vice versa. Total of 5 programs - 4 to cycle between speeds, and 1 to turn off on a double-click (this one isn't required, just for convenience). The cycle programs are all identical except for respective speeds. I have one using a KPL button, and one using a RL2 button. Living Room Fan Off If Control 'Living Room KPL - B' is switched Fast On Or Control 'Living Room KPL - B' is switched Fast Off Then Set 'Living Room FanLinc-Fan' Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Living Room Fan Cycle Off-Low If ( Control 'Living Room KPL - B' is switched On Or Control 'Living Room KPL - B' is switched Off ) And Status 'Living Room FanLinc-Fan' is Off Then Set 'Living Room FanLinc-Fan' Low Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Living Room Fan Cycle Low-Med If ( Control 'Living Room KPL - B' is switched On Or Control 'Living Room KPL - B' is switched Off ) And Status 'Living Room FanLinc-Fan' is Low Then Set 'Living Room FanLinc-Fan' Med Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Living Room Fan Cycle Med-Hi If ( Control 'Living Room KPL - B' is switched On Or Control 'Living Room KPL - B' is switched Off ) And Status 'Living Room FanLinc-Fan' is Med Then Set 'Living Room FanLinc-Fan' High Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Living Room Fan Cycle Hi-Off If ( Control 'Living Room KPL - B' is switched On Or Control 'Living Room KPL - B' is switched Off ) And Status 'Living Room FanLinc-Fan' is High Then Set 'Living Room FanLinc-Fan' Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')

Installed 3.2.0 and it worked perfectly. No lost programs, and was able to add my FanLincs without trouble. Finally have 1 button controlling my fan (instead of 4). Thanks Michel (and everyone else at UD)!!

Gotcha, thank you for the tip. One more question then - the LampLinc looks like it has Sense, so you can use the local load's on/off switch, but there's no info about setting it up as a controller. Does this mean it can control itself locally by sensing the load, but it doesn't send that out to the rest of the world, i.e. can't trigger a scene? If that's the case, I could setup a program to check the status and then trigger the ceiling fans from there, right? Is there any way to disable the dimming on the LampLinc, so it's always either 100% on or 0% off, since it'll have a fan hooked up to it? Thanks!

Couple questions I'm hoping can be answered here. Basically I want to be able to detect my fireplace fan turning on (it's thermostatically controlled), and trigger my ceiling fans to turn on. SynchroLinc can do this, but it's controller-only, right? I can't also turn off the fireplace fan using this? ApplianceLinc can turn it on and off, but can it sense the load coming on on it's own and trigger a scene?

We were actually sending identical messages to several different phones on all 4 major networks. T-Mo, Sprint & Verizon came through immediately, AT&T would come in hours later, but with no indication that it was hours late.
-
I don't have a solution, but I've seen the same thing happen - the message sends fine, but somewhere along the line takes a nap for several hours. Then it pops up on the phone like nothing happens. The only way we were able to 'prove' it was to put a timestamp in the message body. So it's definitely not just you.

I've picked up a couple of FanLincs, and currently have them linked to a KPL & RemoteLinc2 manually (i.e. not using ISY). I added the FanLinc to the ISY, and it sees the light control fine but the fan portion doesn't show up at all. Is there any way to jury-rig this until official support is added? I'm fine manually setting the on level to X value to change the fan speed, rather than having an option for Low/Med/High. Basically is there any way to get the ISY to at least see the unsupported device, so I can play with sending commands via program or whatever?
