  1. I think you have to port forward your camera for this to work, and use the correct port forwarded url.... I don’t think the ISY Portal or the ISY ‘proxies’ your camera(s).
  2. Well, I didn’t know either until post 10 above, and I share the confusion as to purpose. If callable by API, then there is a use, otherwise..... I’m struggling as well.. [emoji4]
  3. Mobilinc sends ‘bright’ and ‘dim’ commands (such as are send from Switchlincs when you hold them) and Google Home can do the same - to progressively brighten or dim the scene members. Mobilinc can not send ‘turn scene on at 50%’ because this command isn’t supported in the Insteon protocol. Neither can Google Home. I use programs to sync the KPL buttons to a device state for the couple of lights I want to be able to dim with Google Home.
  4. It would be awesome if ‘repeat after me’ was callable via API, or IFTTT.....
  5. Home Depot here only stocks the (standard around here) 1/4 inch thick baseboard. Same with the local Menards and Lowe’s - who all can get 1/2” thick - they just don’t stock it.
  6. It is here. I believe vertical mounting is more common nationwide. However, from an apartment when I lived downtown Chicago 20 years ago thru 4 suburban houses since then - all were horizontally mounted.
  7. True, forgot about that... It’s a shame that the command ‘turn on the lights’ when received by a Home that’s assigned to the Kitchen also doesn’t turn on only the Kitchen lights.
  8. I for one like the quarter round. To be honest, any house I was looking at with wood floors and no quarter round I would immediately be suspicious of improper expansion strips/gaps being present. An immediate red flag to me. But that’s mainly because I’ve never seen it any other way!
  9. I’ve been in many houses in this area over the years. It’s everywhere. Very, very standard where wooden floors are installed. It’s even ‘correct’ in the UK..
  10. My new (2 years old) has it... and my prior house (built 2002) had it - so it’s still a common thing, at least in this neck of the woods. I’ve seen it this way across multiple builders where construction was in the last 25 years...
  11. Do you have any network resources calling 127.0.0.1 (to call the local REST API)? This can cause unsolicited hangs or reboots....
  12. Most wood floors have quarter round at the edge, to cover the expansion gap (to allow the wood to expand and contract)...
  13. It does make me wonder why (in the Home app) it makes it very visible that Google want you to assign rooms to devices. So far, there does not appear to be any way Home uses this association. Even pairing a chromecast to Home is a separate thing... I’m betting it will arrive... maybe... hopefully. I now have 6 Google Homes around the house - right now it’s our intercom (‘Hey Google, Broadcast.....’)
  14. Glad you got this sorted. There is a bit of FUD out there for sure. The official position was ‘does not work’ (even though it did) and is now ‘Untested’ usually followed by guidance to subscribe to Mobilinc Connect - but many, many on this forum are using it just fine.
  15. On my iPad mini, filter does not show until I type something. After typing something, it is grayed out until the search matches something. Odd.
  16. It’s a server side fix. Nothing needs updating client side. Also, insteon scenes cannot be dimmed to specific levels. Only devices.
  17. Nothing. It’s greed out when there are no search results.
  18. The filter is grayed out. I’ve searched for other iPhone only apps and can find those, so I’m not sure that’s the issue...
  19. I mostly authored the wiki article, so tried most. I settled on Pushover. Multi platform, you can push URLs and do high priority pushes (keep alerting until the phone owner acknowledges). Each event has its own app and icon. And I use groups so a single push can be sent to all family members (for alarm conditions).
  20. One quick question... Does it support ISY Portal? I get no results searching the AppStore on my iPad for ‘hometap’
  21. Insteon devices only send status to one configured PLM. That PLM can be connected to ISY, or it can be the PLM in the Hub. Status cannot be sent to both. This is intrinsic to Insteon. X10 does not have this limitation (because status feedback is an afterthought) nor does zwave (where most devices are ‘controllers’). Get ISY Portal and ditch the hub. IMHO - it’s an either/or choice between the Hub and ISY. Integrating both is an advanced thing. On Q3 - Mobilinc on IOS or Agave on Android are the recommended mobile apps. You can also use a browser shortcut to the Portal in a pinch.
  22. If your ISY has the IP 192.168.1.2 with the subnet mask 255.255.255.0 - it will not be able to talk to a device with the IP 192.168.0.3 - because it’s a different subnet. You must fix the third octet in the IP address to match if you want the devices to talk to each other.
