Release 3.3.1 (Beta) Is Now Available!
Tunaman replied to Michel Kohanim's topic in Previous Releases
Downloaded and installed on isy99i. Can report that I can now have KPL and remotelinc 2 both in same scene, and that KPL LEDs do respond to remotelinc 2 keypresses. Also, fanlinc backlight option now turns off the red LED which was always on before. Not sure what the other fanlinc options are for, that will have to wait for another day. However, not sure is this is a feature or a bug, but I can no longer have multiple KPL buttons in the same scene. I have a KPL that i'm using as a timer of sorts, and before (on 3.2.6) I was able to have all buttons in scenes, but now I get an error message if I try to add multiple KPL buttons to the same scene. KPL is a 2487S Dual Band KeypadLinc Relay v.40 -
ok, thanks for testing. Sounds like a call to smarthome is in order. Sent from my ARCHOS 101G9 using Tapatalk 2

I did find a couple of other post with similar message. Both were apparently resolved by running a query engine. I tried that -- no change, still can't add button H. Thanks fuel running the test. Did you test on a converted 6 to 8, or was it factory set as an 8? I'm wondering if the converted ones behave differently. Sent from my ARCHOS 101G9 using Tapatalk 2
-
So then I should be able to add it to a scene as a controller?
-
Michel -- I added a new scene, was able to add another device. What I can't do is add the 2487S 'h' button as a controller. I can add it as a responder, but not as a controller. Is this expected? Is the 'h' button a dedicated off button when the 2487S is configured as an 8-button keypad?
-
thanks for the update. I'll do the factory reset this weekend. I can define quite a few scenes with it (I was able to add 6 successfully; each which links the other 6 buttons to indicate off). It is when I add a scene for the last button that it fails. I can add responders to the last scene, but I can't add a controller. I should have time this weekend to dig into it some more. michel, that is correct. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2

Makes me wonder if this might be an issue with 3.2.6. It still seems like an odd error message. I checked to see how many links were in the 2487 -- there were 67. I did a factory reset, and tried adding the scenes in a different order. Same result. I counted the links, and again, there were 67. Maybe I should have posted this in the 3.2.6 sub-forum.
-
Did you add the links using the ISY? If so, what version?
-
Hello all. I have a 2487s (v.40) that factory set as a 6-button, and it worked fine in that configuration. I'm using it to control a dust collector in my workshop, and have created a combination of scenes and programs to set up different 'On' time intervals at 1, 4, 7 and 10 minutes. All worked fine when it was in the 6 button configuration. So, not be able to leave well enough alone, I decided I'd also like to have 15 & 20 minutes intervals, so decided to convert the 2487S to an 8 button. All went well, I dropped it from the ISY (running 3.2.6, both client and server), added it back in, and restored all the original scenes. Each scene is set up to include the all buttons, with only the appropriate "time" as the controller, all others as responders. Everything was fine until I went to add in the 2 new buttons. I was able to add the 2 additonal buttons as responders to the original scenes without issue. And I was able to create a 2 new scenes for the new time intervals, and add in all the responders, however, when I went to add in the new controller, I got a very strange dialog box (attached). Has anybody been able to link a converted 2487s? Is there a limit on the number of links?

I am using the KPL, but the load from the KPL is capped. The fanlinc is wired so that it is always hot. It is a little troubling that havin a load on the light side of the fanlinc was necessary to get it to link -- I've never had to do that for any other insteon devices. But, it seems to be working now, but I haven't programmed anything yet, that will be the real test. Time to have an adult beverage by the pool.
-
the motor was red, the light was green, with the load on the light. In previous attempts, I'm sure I had both in the red. It's in the fan now, responding to all commands from the admin console. Hopefully I'll be able to add it to scenes without an issue. Hopefully, one more trip up the ladder to put the covers on
-
Well, this is interesting. I did the Link Management, then Start, and same results. I was about to give up, but then I decided to see what would happen if I put a load on the light side, and that seems to have done the trick! Now for the real test -- put it in the ceiling and see what happens.
-
I followed all of your suggestions -- same results. I'm afraid it might be RMA time. Thanks for your help -- comparing traces was extremely helpful!

The PLM is a 2413S, V1.5. Level 3 log is attached. It will stay in this state forever (or at least overnight). It will occasionally add another entry like the last one. I seem to recall seeing somewhere on this forum that earlier versions of the fanlinc caused some problems for the isy. This is rev 1.05 Sat 05/26/2012 11:40:12 AM : ---- Initializing the linked devices ---- Sat 05/26/2012 11:40:12 AM : ---- All Linked Devices are now initialized ---- Sat 05/26/2012 11:40:12 AM : ---- Add remaining devices ---- Sat 05/26/2012 11:40:12 AM : [iNST-TX-I1 ] 02 62 14 9F 79 0F 0D 00 Sat 05/26/2012 11:40:12 AM : [iNST-ACK ] 02 62 14.9F.79 0F 0D 00 06 (00) Sat 05/26/2012 11:40:12 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 14.9F.79 19.72.42 AB 0D FF (FF) Sat 05/26/2012 11:40:12 AM : [standard-Direct Nack][14.9F.79-->ISY/PLM Group=0] Max Hops=3, Hops Left=2 Sat 05/26/2012 11:40:12 AM : [iNST-TX-I2CS] 02 62 14 9F 79 1F 09 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 F6 Sat 05/26/2012 11:40:13 AM : [iNST-ACK ] 02 62 14.9F.79 1F 09 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 F6 06 LNK-ON (01) Sat 05/26/2012 11:40:13 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 14.9F.79 19.72.42 2B 09 01 LNK-ON (01) Sat 05/26/2012 11:40:13 AM : [standard-Direct Ack][14.9F.79-->ISY/PLM Group=0] Max Hops=3, Hops Left=2 Sat 05/26/2012 11:40:14 AM : [LNK-BGN ] 02 64 01 00 06 Sat 05/26/2012 11:42:04 AM : [ELK 0 1 0] (56/140/0)

Erase existing. Both ui and server are 3.2.6 Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2

I just got a new fanlinc, and can't get it to link. When I enter its address and tell the isy to autodiscover, it searches for a very long time, then starts to discover the topology. I'm running 3.2.6 Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2

Michel -- With the global grace period set to 10 minutes, and the if time set to a specific time, the program ran fine yesterday night (previously, it wasn't triggering on Sunday nights, even though the on days All was selected).
-
Michel I'll change global grace period to 10 minutes, and set a specific time in the If statement.
-
Michel -- certainly not an imposition, glad to do it. I'm assuming that you want to see if the global grace period is big enough to account for any processes trying to run -- so, should I leave the trigger in the if condition at 10 minutes, or, should I change that to be a specific time. I'm not sure I understand the relationship between the global grace period and the if condition. If I set the global grace period to 10 minutes, and I set the program trigger time to "from sunset to sunset + 10 minutes", does that mean that the program could trigger any time between sunset to sunset + 20 minutes?
