  1. Update to the above posting; I placed the leak sensor in water and the device communicated to the ISY without any issue. I still would like suggestions about why the activation of the leak sensor button does not cause a change in the wet/dry settings on the ISY. Depression of the leak sensor button will cause a change of the ISY wet/dry settings.
  2. I have successfully run a leak sensor program for several years. Recently, there was an unknown event that caused my ISY to lose communications with all of my leak sensors (14 units). I did a restore on all of the leak sensors and successfully reconnected all but 1 leak sensor. After attempting to restore the 1 non-communicating leak sensor several times, I deleted the leak sensor and then reinstalled the device. I could write to the device, however the ISY would not recognize when I activated the leak sensor wet/dry button. I removed the battery from the leak sensor. After installation of the battery, the ISY registered the wet/dry settings. However, when I depressed the device activation button, the ISY wet/dry settings would remain static. I deleted the device plus all programming and state variables for the device and then reinstalled the device and the program items. Once again the ISY recognized the wet/dry settings. The wet/dry settings would not change when I activated the leak sensor switch. I then purchased a new leak sensor from Insteon. I deleted the original sensor, the state variable and all program references. The new leak sensor was installed and the program references were rewritten. Once again, the ISY will recognize the wet/dry settings but will remain static when I depress the leak sensor button. All of my other leak sensors respond appropriately for daily heartbeat and activation of the leak sensor button for wet/dry. I have no issues in writing a restore to the leak sensor, yet the ISY will not record the wet/dry communication from the activated leak sensor. Any suggestions on the problem are appreciated.
  3. How do you troubleshoot the PLM?
  4. Thanks for your help. I was turning the on/off and off/on at the switch. However, I can also turn on/off and off/on via MobiLinc and the admin console. The status indication will not necessarily change on MobiLinc or the admin console despite the switch actually changing from on/off or off/on. I will power down all devices that have noise filters as a start to test noise. Any idea why I can't get the wireless on/off switches such as the garage door to activate on the admin console or MobiLinc?
  5. I have a mixed situation. Some switches properly display the status on both the Admin console and MobiLinc. Other devices are MobiLinc only. Some devices are neither MobiLinc or admin console. I just ran a test on a wall switch. It was off, turned on and the status showed correctly on MobiLinc and admin console. Turned off and both MobiLinc and admin console show the switch still on. I have not added any electronic devices in the house. All of my typical "noise" devices are connected to Insteon filters.
  6. The Query at Restart was checked. In the past my on/off switches would reconnect once I open/closed the door or pushed the button on the switch. Now neither situation will ping the ISY.
  7. Update completed. The status on the switches still does not update to reflect current on/off status. I also have no connection to the wireless switches such as on/off switches and leak detectors. The leak detectors are dead on all indicators on/off/heartbeat. The leak sensors and switches do not register when I manually activate the button on the devices.
  8. I also have lost all status indication on leak sensors (wet/dry/heartbeat) and all wireless devices such as open/close sensors. 24 hrs has past since I unplugged the ISY so I would expect heartbeats to renew. My open/close sensors are on garage doors that have been operated several times since I unplugged the ISY.
  9. Firmware Insteon_UD994v.4.8.0 UI Insteon_UD994 v.4.8.0
  10. Using ISY 994i, MobiLinc Connect for years. All Insteon system. My devices no longer update their status on MobiLinc Connect. All devices are working properly and will respond when using MobiLinc or the wall switches. I have unplugged the ISY and did not resolve the problem. Next steps? Thanks for all suggestions.
  11. I replaced an 8 button keypad with another 8 button keypad. The original keypad was no longer functioning. I used the sub menu under the original keypad (button A) to replace the original with the new keypad. The new keypad recorded the 8 buttons as separate devices rather than showing the device as button A and then having the other 7 buttons as a sub menu hidden under the listing of button A. How can I rectify the problem? I don't want to delete the new device(s) because of the amount of linking, etc. that will be required. I have a backup of the ISY prior to the replacement of the keypad.
  12. Following a power outage, Alexa no longer can control my lights because it detects multiple devices with the same name. I have used the Alexa for several years. I have made no changes to the device list and have operated without issues. I used MobiLinc Connect/ISY I have taken the following steps; Unplugged modem, unplugged ISY, unplugged Alexa, unplugged WiFi, removed and reloaded the app, disabled/enabled skill, removed all devices and rediscovered all devices (via desktop, via app, and rediscovered via Alexa). All of the devices are discovered and listed by Alexa on the app and alexa.amazon.com. There is no duplication of device names. Some examples of device names that contain common elements are Family room ceiling Family room table lamp Kitchen Kitchen table Again, these are not new device names. They have been in my list for several years and worked without any issues. Alexa responds to all other command functions such as time, weather, questions, etc. Any additional suggestions?
  13. Yes. I found the source of the problem. I had a hardwired motion sensor on the same line. For some reason it started creating line noise that interfered with the i/o linc. All systems work properly once I removed the motion sensor.
  14. ISY 994i with over 40 dual and single band devices across 2 phases. The installation has been in place since 2014. The I/O linc in question is not on the same phase as the ISY, however, there is an Access Point 2443 on the same I/O linc a few feet away. My I/O linc that controls a water shutoff valve has stopped responding. I have exchanged the Access Point with a range extender (no change). I also moved the I/O to the same phase as the ISY and there were no communication issues. I depressed the "set" button on the PLM, Access Point and the I/O linc and allowed the devices to run for 3 minutes. I then depressed the set buttons on the same 3 devices. No communication once again to the I/O linc. There have been no changes to the system or additions of appliances, etc. to the house. During my testing I turned off all devices in the house that are connected to filter lincs. Any suggestions for further testing?
  15. During a recent remodel, the contractor tossed one of my Insteon Leak Detectors. It was a recent version with the heartbeat/on/off nodes. I want to delete the detector from my list, however, the ISY requests that I activate the sensor in order to delete it from my list. I am operating from the ISY Admin Console with the current ISY software. How can I work around the need to activate the sensor since I no longer have it available?

    Auto DR Scene

I have a scene titled Auto DR. It may be an artifact of some mistake that I made years ago, however, I have no idea of why it is on my ISY network list. The scene contains no devices. I have attempted to delete the scene and I get a simple error message which states "request failed". Is this scene mean anything and if not, how can I delete it?
  17. The lights are dimmable. I have them installed in other rooms with the same 8 button keypad without any issues. The buzz comes from the dimmer itself. I would guess that it is the electronics.
  18. I have an Insteon 8 button keypad connected to 4 Cree LED Retrofit downlights. My keypad has a audible buzz/noise. The sound level will somewhat diminish as I lower the light from 100% to 50%. Is there anything that I can do to eliminate or significantly reduce the sound at the higher light levels?
  19. Has anyone used Geofency with the ISY Portal? Is it worth the $2.99?
  20. I want to use the Locative app for geo fencing but have had problems making it operate. It appears that "help" in Locative is only available via Twitter or Facebook, neither of which I use. I am wondering if anyone can possibly help me get it operational. I have followed the instructions on the wiki to establish the keys. In the Locative app I copied the trigger keys into the proper arrival and departure "post" entry points. Both the triggers were turned on. I turned on HTTP Basic Authentication and added by username and password. For my global HTTP Setting I entered URL https;//www.my.isy.io Set it as a Post, turned on Http Basic Authentication and added my username and password. As I depart and reenter the geo fence I receive the following message; POST Failure: No readable response received. I also receive the same failure notice when I run a test request from the setting page. Any help is appreciated.
  21. Would a FilterLinc 1626-10 help with #1 as described by Brian H?
  22. I am trying to resolve a couple issues with an under cabinet led strip. First, I had the strip (a dimmable type) plugged into an OutletLinc Dimmer - INSTEON 2472D. In the off mode, the strip would pulse on/off. I could turn it on with no problems. I then changed to an INSTEON Outletlinc 2473S On/Off Outlet. The llights will flicker, almost like a lightning flash when in the off position. The led strip is 6' long. Finally, last night I plugged the led into the lower, non-controlled outlet on the 2473S. I don't know if it is a coincidence but I lost communications with a number of devices on both phases in my house. I had to manually reset one of the 2477 dimmers in order to get it to respond to the ISY. Questions: 1. Any idea what is the cause of the problems with the 2472D or 2473S? 2. Is it likely that the problems with the devices last night was caused by noise from the led?
  23. I changed out the 2476 dimmer for a new 2477 and all is well Thanks to everyone for your help.
  24. I am taping the Mobilinc paddle. I have also tried the scene icon and still do not obtain consistent actions. One of the dimmers is powering the lights. This dimmer has been installed for 7 yrs. I added a second dimmer last week to enable light control from across the room. It is the new dimmer that is problematic.
  25. I have the 2 dimmers set up in a scene. I get the same results when I used the scene button on MobiLinc Pro to turn on/off the scene. The LED on both dimmers will move up/down each time I activate the scene button. The access point will "flash" for each signal. The room light will not always respond on/off. The response is erratic.
