  1. I have lost the status of my water sensors due to power interruption while on vacation. While using MobiLinc I see the status of all of the house lights once power returns but not the status of the water sensors even though days pass before I return home. Does the lack of status showing via MobiLinc indicate that the water sensors are NOT sending a heartbeat signal?
  2. I am confused about the operation of the water leak sensor 2852-222. When I have a power interruption my ISY 99 (and MobiLinc Pro) no longer shows the status of the water leak sensor. Questions: 1. When power is restored, if a subsequent leak occurs, will the leak sensor send a notice? 2. Does this sensor send a "heartbeat" every 24 hrs? If yes, will that restore the sensor status to the ISY (and MobiLinc Pro)? 3. I live in an area where summer rain storms are frequent and power interruptions are daily. Is there any alternative such as power back up to the ISY/PLM that will help me work around this problem?
  3. I recently had a power supply interruption. When the power was restored the ISY 99 returned to operation. I noticed that the status of the motion sensors, triggerlincs and the Leak Sensor (2852-222) did not return. Is this normal? I have had to actuate each of these items in order to return the status to the ISY Administrative Control screen.

    Power Alert

The power outage wish is obviously not possible. However, I do still wonder about wireless temperature monitoring of the freezer. I suppose battery power is the limiting factor given the freezer temperature. On the other hand there is an available power source (interior light socket). I have the leak sensors on back order and will use one. The drawback is that exterior leakage comes long after everything has thawed inside.

    Power Alert

I am trying to find a way to receive an alert whenever power is lost to my refrigerator-freezer and/or when the inside temperature drops below a certain level. My concern is that a long electrical outage would start a meltdown in the freezer section which would lead to water leakage onto the wooden flooring in the kitchen. Conversely, I would want to know when power is restored. I am not enthused about the SH Freezer Failure Sensor as it requires a wire to run from the inside of the freezer between the frame and door gasket. I would like to avoid any compromise to the integrity of the door seal. No matter how low the risk. I am using a ISY 99.
  6. How do I insert a screen image from my ISY into the forum? For example I want to insert the program summary page.
  7. A keypad that was installed about 12 mo ago and working without a problem has developed phantom signals. For example when I turn on a table lamp on button C a ceiling light on bottom A will briefly turn on/off. I have performed a restore which will only correct the problem temporarily. Any suggestions? ISY 99. V 3.3.4.
  8. 3.3.4 solved the installation issue. Another question - The installed device has two settings - dry & wet. When test the leak sensor via the test button on the unit, the wet is activated to "on" but will not reset to "off". Is this normal?
  9. I am having trouble installing the new Insteon Leak Sensor 2852-222. I just upgraded to V3.2.6 on a ISY 99. After depressing the set button and activating the blinking LED on the leak sensor, I have tried to install a new device on the ISY. I keep getting the following error message. Node not added - failed restoring device 21 4F BF 1 [-200000/-10] Any suggestions?
  10. I just received the new Insteon Leak Sensor Model 2852-222. I can't get it to link with my ISY-99. I have activated the LED to blinking and the system appears to find the device and tries to add it to the ISY. In the end it fails with the message - node not added - failed restoring device. The LED is blinking during the entire operation. The sensor is located within a few feet of a PLM and other Insteon switches. I am using 2.8.16. Is this the source of the problem?
  11. Does anyone have ideas on how to make a triggerlinc somewhat weather resistant/tolerant? I would like to use them on some exterior doors. For the most part they would be sheltered from rain, however, it is not guaranteed. They also would be exposed to the sun. I wish there was a wireless door trigger. I have tried motion detectors but they are not reliable in windy conditions as too many environmental items such as trees, plants, etc. are near the doors and are moving in the wind causing false alarms.

    2477SA2 Issues

I have had 2 2477SA2 Controllers installed for several months. Both are on the same circuit and control separate pool motors. Both are controlled by an ISY99i. Motor Controller #1 will not turn off from either the ISY or the On/Off button on the controller. I did a restore device (no result), removed the device and installed (no install communication issues). I still could not turn off the motor. I then did a factory reset. I noticed that I did not hear any audible beeps and noted that both the controller light and the load active light are not on. The motor will run but cannot be turned off by the ISY or the Controller button. The ISY dashboard for the device always responds with either an On or OFF status, however the true status is always ON. Motor Controller #2 began to cause issues 4 days after Controller #1. The response and testing issues are the same as Controller #1 with one exception --- when I perform the factory reset both the Controller light and Load Active lights will turn green. In all other respects the issues with #2 are the same as #1. Any help suggestions are appreciated.
  13. v 2.8.16
  14. I believe you are correct as I can also share another situation that backs up your assumption. Previously I had the program set up so that the motor ran 20 min/hr. The program ran from 9 am - 7 pm. There were no problems with the motor being off at night, although I can't tell you the precise time that it turned off. I then needed to run the motor for a longer time so I changed it to 40 min/hr (9am - 7pm). The motor would not shut off at night. My guess was that the motor was running when 7 pm was reached. All that probably happened was that the program stopped but the motor was not turned off, regardless of how long it was running in the cycle. Since the program stopped running, there was no off command issued to stop the motor at the end of a 40 min cycle. I then changed the time to 7:21 pm to insure that the motor was off when the program stop time was reached. I will add a "off" command to Else. Getting back to my original question - why doesn't the program take over after I manually intervene during the day?
  15. Yes. The motor will not stop even after the program end time of 7:21 pm.
  16. The motor started as programmed this morning. I turned the motor off, then back on after I completed pool maintenance. The motor ran continuously until I manually turned it off. The summary I provided was with the motor manually turned off.
  17. The current summary: Last run time 9:00 am Wed 4/18/12 Last finish time 7:21 pm Tues 4/17/12 Status = True Activity Idle The motor was turned on/off via an Insteon switch. The motor is controlled by a 240v Insteon Load Controller

    Program change

Whenever I manually operate a switch that controls the pool motor this program ceases to operate for the remainder of the day. For example, the pool motor may be running and I will turn it off to perform pool maintenance. When finished I will switch the motor back on. How can I get the program to resume control of the pool motor? In this case the pool motor will continue to run nonstop until I manually turn it off. The next day the program will operate as programmed. If From 9:00:00AM To 7:21:00PM (same day) Then Repeat Every 1 hour Set 'Pool Motor' On Wait 40 minutes Set 'Pool Motor' Fast Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')

Problem solved per your suggestion. I wish I had know about the auto discovery issue before installation as I have the same v 0.0 problem with other keypads. Thanks for taking the time to help me.

Insteon address of the KeypadLinc and Family light device is 19.47.0D Button A & G are on the same keypad Firmware 2.8.16 Yesterday the Progress Bar displayed every time the On Level slider was moved. Today it does not appear at all with this scene/button G. It will appear with other keypads and switches when I make changes. I have also tried to copy the scene attributes from the scene to the Button G. The Button A setting remains at 100% vs 30% for Button A on the Scene attributes.

I see the progress bar operate each time I make a change. The change, however, never remains at 30% (or any other setting) it always goes back to 100%. Button A and Button G are on the same 2486 Keypad dimmer.

When I go into the scene and look under Button G the family room ceiling is set at 100%. When I move the slider to 30% the ISY writes and the slider stays at 30%. Once I go to another light switch or scene and come back, the Button G setting for the family room is back to 100%. All other lights in this scene that are also controlled by Button G operate as I set them.
