  1. I have had a 2476D v.37 controlling room lighting. No issues for the past 3-4 years. - Call this Dimmer #1 Today, I added a 2477D v.44 dimmer to provide a secondary position in the room to control lighting. -- Call this Dimmer #2 When I remotely (via iPhone/MobLinc Pro) turn on Dimmer #1, the LED bar moves upward on both dimmers and the light will turn on/off. When I remotely (via iPhone/MobLinc Pro) turn on Dimmer #2, the LED bar move upward on both dimmers and the lilght will turn on. When I attempt to turn off via Dimmer #2, the LED on both dimmers will slide downward but the light remains on. When I operate either dimmer directly via the paddle switch, the operate without fail. I placed an extra access point near dimmer #2 to determine if I could improve communications. I see the LED on the access point flash for all of the combinations noted above, however, dimmer #2 will still fail to turn off the light. Again, the LED on the dimmer switch will respond properly to on/off commands, but the light will not turn off. Any suggestions?
  2. I went to File|Enable Internet Access and got a Failure message. I do not see a File|Disable Internet Access choice. My router is a Cisco Linksys EA 4500. It is setup at UPnP enabled. Attached is a screen shot of my admin console so you can see the current settings. Unfortunately, I posted my original message twice, once here and again in another forum. In the other forum I was advised to set the ISY IP outside the router's range which I have now completed. My screen admin console attachment shows the old IP address which was inside the router range of xxx.xxx.x.1-.149. My new setting is xx.xxx.x.150
  3. ISY 994I, 4.2.18 Mobilinc Pro 4.1.10 iPhone 5 Whenever my internet connection goes down and restarts, I regain my wifi connection but cannot communicate to the ISY via Mobilinc Connect. In order to regain connection I have to manually unplug the router and ISY. Any suggestions on how to resolve the issue so that I regain Moblinc communications after a resumption of internet service?

    Power Outage

I have not represented the facts about the ISY power correctly. The ISY is getting power via the wall plug and the power adapter which comes with the 994i. I was under the impression that I could not use the UPS backup as a power source for the ISY. Is this correct?

    Power Outage

I have reviewed my settings and find that I am on a static IP address (automatic box NOT checked). Any other ideas are certainly welcome.

    Power Outage

I appreciate the precautions that you have taken for surge protection. What I don't understand is how these measures resolve the restart connection issue once power is restored. Thx

    Power Outage

I have a 994i Pro and using MobiLinc Connect for remote access. Whenever a power outage occurs I lose remote access to the ISY. Remote access can only be restored by unplugging/plugging both the router and the ISY. The internet company modem has a battery backup built-in. I have the router also on a UPS/battery backup. The ISY is getting power via the PLM which is plugged directly into the wall outlet. Any suggestions on how to set up the ISY so that it properly connects remotely after a power outage?
  8. I had a situation where I had the Motion Sensor set to send a text if the Status turned on. The motion sensor "stuck" in the On position for hours before it finally counted down. I got text, after text, after text until I finally disabled the program.
  9. I have questions about using Control vs Status in the following applications; 1. Motion Sensor which is to send a text notification should it turn on. 2. TriggerLinc which is to send a text notification when it turns on.
  10. All of this makes a lot of sense and helps me in a huge way. First off, I was assuming that with a power interruption (and ISY status) I also had a loss of notification should the sensor detect water after the power resumed. Understanding how the sensor will send a signal if water is detected without having a status on the ISY is a HUGE peace of mind when I am on vacation and can't reset the sensors. Second, changing my programs to Control vs. Status also releases me from the pain of tapping each of my sensors 2X to get the status on the Dry node at the state I desire. I have 7 sensors including 1 in the attic. It was a pain to get a ladder and climb into the attic to reset the sensor. With the change to "Control" I no longer have to bother to make the rounds tapping the sensor set button. Of course, I should check the battery operation periodically, perhaps every 6 mo. to make certain that the sensors are operational but that is minor compared to what I was doing. Thanks to the knowledge pool on this forum who helped me. You folks are hand down, the best support group I have ever experienced.
  11. Thank you very much for your help. I had my programs written to trigger lights on/off and a text notification should the Status Water Sensor Wet is On. You mentioned to use the If Condition. What is the difference between using two If statements such as "If Status of Water Sensor Wet is On Or Status of Water Sensor Dry is On Then.... Versus "If Condition of Water Sensor Wet is On Or Condition of Water Sensor Dry is On Then....
  12. Some answers to the 3 posts above. 1. I have confirmed the status change through the admin console. Also see the same status via MobiLinc. The method of verifying the operation has been to manually activate the set button. 2. I have run your suggested test on the event viewer. I see the wet and dry messages but NEVER see a Heartbeat message. 3. I am on firmware 3.3.10. ISY 99i Pro As I understand, I can't install 4.0.X. 4. I have 2 nodes for the leak sensor, wet and dry.
  13. I have 6 of the water leak sensors and they all react the same. Once I lose power they never show their status until I manually push the test button. This is in spite of waiting days before I can activate the sensors manually. Once I perform the manual activation, the sensors report their status with 100% accuracy. How do I test for the "heartbeat"? And should the "heartbeat" result in a status reporting?
  14. I have lost the status of my water sensors due to power interruption while on vacation. While using MobiLinc I see the status of all of the house lights once power returns but not the status of the water sensors even though days pass before I return home. Does the lack of status showing via MobiLinc indicate that the water sensors are NOT sending a heartbeat signal?
  15. I am confused about the operation of the water leak sensor 2852-222. When I have a power interruption my ISY 99 (and MobiLinc Pro) no longer shows the status of the water leak sensor. Questions: 1. When power is restored, if a subsequent leak occurs, will the leak sensor send a notice? 2. Does this sensor send a "heartbeat" every 24 hrs? If yes, will that restore the sensor status to the ISY (and MobiLinc Pro)? 3. I live in an area where summer rain storms are frequent and power interruptions are daily. Is there any alternative such as power back up to the ISY/PLM that will help me work around this problem?
  16. I recently had a power supply interruption. When the power was restored the ISY 99 returned to operation. I noticed that the status of the motion sensors, triggerlincs and the Leak Sensor (2852-222) did not return. Is this normal? I have had to actuate each of these items in order to return the status to the ISY Administrative Control screen.

    Power Alert

The power outage wish is obviously not possible. However, I do still wonder about wireless temperature monitoring of the freezer. I suppose battery power is the limiting factor given the freezer temperature. On the other hand there is an available power source (interior light socket). I have the leak sensors on back order and will use one. The drawback is that exterior leakage comes long after everything has thawed inside.

    Power Alert

I am trying to find a way to receive an alert whenever power is lost to my refrigerator-freezer and/or when the inside temperature drops below a certain level. My concern is that a long electrical outage would start a meltdown in the freezer section which would lead to water leakage onto the wooden flooring in the kitchen. Conversely, I would want to know when power is restored. I am not enthused about the SH Freezer Failure Sensor as it requires a wire to run from the inside of the freezer between the frame and door gasket. I would like to avoid any compromise to the integrity of the door seal. No matter how low the risk. I am using a ISY 99.
  19. How do I insert a screen image from my ISY into the forum? For example I want to insert the program summary page.
  20. A keypad that was installed about 12 mo ago and working without a problem has developed phantom signals. For example when I turn on a table lamp on button C a ceiling light on bottom A will briefly turn on/off. I have performed a restore which will only correct the problem temporarily. Any suggestions? ISY 99. V 3.3.4.
  21. 3.3.4 solved the installation issue. Another question - The installed device has two settings - dry & wet. When test the leak sensor via the test button on the unit, the wet is activated to "on" but will not reset to "off". Is this normal?
  22. I am having trouble installing the new Insteon Leak Sensor 2852-222. I just upgraded to V3.2.6 on a ISY 99. After depressing the set button and activating the blinking LED on the leak sensor, I have tried to install a new device on the ISY. I keep getting the following error message. Node not added - failed restoring device 21 4F BF 1 [-200000/-10] Any suggestions?
  23. I just received the new Insteon Leak Sensor Model 2852-222. I can't get it to link with my ISY-99. I have activated the LED to blinking and the system appears to find the device and tries to add it to the ISY. In the end it fails with the message - node not added - failed restoring device. The LED is blinking during the entire operation. The sensor is located within a few feet of a PLM and other Insteon switches. I am using 2.8.16. Is this the source of the problem?
  24. Does anyone have ideas on how to make a triggerlinc somewhat weather resistant/tolerant? I would like to use them on some exterior doors. For the most part they would be sheltered from rain, however, it is not guaranteed. They also would be exposed to the sun. I wish there was a wireless door trigger. I have tried motion detectors but they are not reliable in windy conditions as too many environmental items such as trees, plants, etc. are near the doors and are moving in the wind causing false alarms.

    2477SA2 Issues

I have had 2 2477SA2 Controllers installed for several months. Both are on the same circuit and control separate pool motors. Both are controlled by an ISY99i. Motor Controller #1 will not turn off from either the ISY or the On/Off button on the controller. I did a restore device (no result), removed the device and installed (no install communication issues). I still could not turn off the motor. I then did a factory reset. I noticed that I did not hear any audible beeps and noted that both the controller light and the load active light are not on. The motor will run but cannot be turned off by the ISY or the Controller button. The ISY dashboard for the device always responds with either an On or OFF status, however the true status is always ON. Motor Controller #2 began to cause issues 4 days after Controller #1. The response and testing issues are the same as Controller #1 with one exception --- when I perform the factory reset both the Controller light and Load Active lights will turn green. In all other respects the issues with #2 are the same as #1. Any help suggestions are appreciated.
