  1. I tried taking the base from one unit and putting it into the other. That one now works fine. The rubberized base with the sensors on it would seem to be part of the issue. Shorting the springs by hand results in a very obvious and consistent wet ON. It would appear the contacts built in to the rubber base are what are causing the intermittent on/off or failure to come on issues. That's not good.
  2. Thanks Lee. So I have the wrong kind of water? I just tried it again, and it now stays on, the water, the same water, has I guessed warmed up a bit. I tried another unit, doesn't switch on at all, or rather it seems it be sending DRY when put into water. Hmm. I agree that any ON is a sign of trouble, but if it switches ON, then off, it could also be read as a sign that the water has gone - when it goes ON then OFF, but is still in water, it can't be trusted. I'm surprised they are so sensitive.
  3. I've been reading the posts I can find but am still confused about one thing I'm seeing. I just bought 4 sensors, all linked fine, and then I went to test. I put some water on a plate and popped one of the sensors on it. It sends a Wet On, followed by a Dry On. It's still sitting in the water. ISY sees the state of the sensor as Dry. It's not. What's up with that? If it's wet, shouldn't it stay like that until it sends a Dry? 4. I get 928 each time. Is there an easy way to predict how many links one should have in the PLM can anyone tell me? I have a few devices, but not an excessive amount, I don't think. At least, that's not what I tell my wife. Greg
  5. Oh, my PLM is a 2413S, v98 according to ISY, V1.5 according to the sticker on the PLM itself.
  6. I just got pointed to this thread by the guys at Smarthome, as I am seeing the same issue. In my case when my PLM loses power I lose all links in the PLM. http://www.smarthome.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=13067 is the thread I started. My PLM now regularly reports 928 links and it loses all of them when the power is lost. It sounds like an awful lot of links according to Smarthome and on the thread in their forum. I have 20+ switchlincs, 6 or so kpl's, a bunch of plug in modules, thermostat, IO lincs for garage doors etc. I don't know if that count seems reasonable. I have maybe 50 or so scenes. These are guessed numbers. I was about to order a replacement when I realized it's still < 2 years old and called support, leading me here, as they are keen to find out the root cause too it seems. My ISY is 4.0.5. Greg
  7. I'm seeing something I haven't seen before with 4.0.2 - After logging in to the admin console, the UI briefly appears, and then unexpectedly exits. If I re-launch the console it seems to work just fine.
  8. The Hops Left = 0 are mainly showing in the [std-Cleanup] lines if that is an indication of something else. I see a ton of posts in the comms issue forum. I'll take a look, but if you have any tips I'd appreciate the pointer.
  9. Sorry for the slow reply. So I am seeing Hops Left = 0 a lot. Is there a troubleshooting guide or suggesting you can make to help me find out why?
  10. I have some programs to keep KeypadLinc LED's in sync (got the principles from other posts here), and with my 99 they worked perfectly. Since upgrading to 994 (did a backup/restore) they are very intermittent. Nothing else has changed. Any ideas where to start troubleshooting? Example of the two programs I use to keep an LED on a KeypadLinc in sync with a light Program - Test Master Bath Hall Light On If Status 'Master Bedroom / Master Bath Hall Dimmer' is not Off Then - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Program - Set Master Bath Hall LED If Program 'Test Master Bath Light On' is True Then Wait 2 seconds Set Scene 'Master Bedroom / Master Bathroom Hallway LED' On Else Wait 2 seconds Set Scene 'Master Bedroom / Master Bathroom Hallway LED' Off Scene "'Master Bedroom / Master Bathroom Hallway LED" has the button on the KeypadLinc I want to control as a responder. As I say, it used to work perfectly. Now it's random. I have a bunch of these programs, and they all work some of the time. But not consistently. Thanks Greg
  11. I have a 2456D3 Lamplinc which was working ok, until it was not. Now when plugged in the LED just flashes on about once a second. Trying factory reset does nothing, can't connect to it from anything, holding the set button turns off the LED, then when released the LED goes solid for a moment, then goes back to flashing once per second. Anything else I can try?
  12. Got it, simple, once you know how. Thanks a million.
  13. Thanks Lee, here it is If From 5:00:00PM To 2:51:00AM (next day) And Control 'Front Dr 8 Way Sw C - Evening' is switched Off And Status 'Master Side Lamp' is not On Then Set 'Master Side Lamp' On Wait 2 minutes Set 'Master Side Lamp' Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')
  14. I have a very simple program set to run when a scene elsewhere is switched off, but it doesn't run as I would expect and I cannot figure out why. It's simply this; If Switch x is turned off Then Set 'Master Suite Bedside Lamp' On wait 2 minutes Set 'Master Suite Bedside Lamp' Off So if I try to run the 'Then' from the console when the Status is False, it switches the lamp on, then exits. If I then re-run the Then (light is now on), status is still False, andvthe program runs, does the wait and then turns it off. Am I doing something dumb? Why it need to run twice to work? Why does it not do the Wait first time round?
