Onto the next issue - after doing the factory reset - and trying to do the upgrade, or save programs I get a "tcp client DNS error" [my.isy.io] -- With the upgrade, I get a "Upgrade failed: failed uploading file (reported written size is invalid)... Java.io broken pipe. Previously it had been on the portal, and since expired, but i deleted and rebooted in case that was the issue. Related error: ? "Could not open config file to read /CONF/HZWNDKEY.TXT", Could not open file "/CONF/PORTALS.PSF" stuck! thanks, Steve

Hi - brought the old unit out of retirement - and after the factory reset was able to get into the box. However, I will not be using Insteon, only Z-Wave but the unit is booting to safe mode. In my policy, I see the option to disable Insteon under system but not under 5.3.4 which is the last firmware? Anyone else have success? Thank you-Steve

..and the other issue is the keypads and other accessories. Old tech that works is more expensive than the new stuff. Good luck.

Thanks @apostolakisl, I have been doing further research and it’s really not looking good. The work-around that eyez-on has is very limited it seems. I have been emailing them also. A >$200 risk and maybe it will do arm and disarm and zone status with more parallel modules. But no details like exit delay/partition status. It’s unfortunate, as the DSC Neo looks to be a decent system and wireless “PowerG” as well- but without the management and integration - it’s backwards as you say. Steve

yes- I have been looking into it. Looks like I am going to test :). Don't have a choice - need to keep the integration with my home setup.. and the older 433 MHz stuff is hard to find for the DSC 1832... Wish me luck. I will report back.

Hi - I am looking to upgrade from my DSC 832 to the DSC Neo, and was wondering if anyone has the EYEZ-ON board setup in Universal mode with this plug-in? I trigger routines for arm/disarm mostly. Not sure I will get that status without full bus integration. thank you, Steve

Z-Matter board within Policy also not responding!! Ugh. UPDATE: Since I was basically hard down, I followed @DennisC , @Geddy recommendation, and upgraded to PG3x. The issues w/ZMatter board and other failures were resolved with the upgrade. I was then able to migrate my PG2 and PG3 nodeservers to PG3x flawlessly by installing in the same slots! Amazing. I am relieved. Nice programming work. Up and running - phew.

I am kind of hesitant if it deletes something in the PG2 configuration that i will need. I see that article, and read through it - should be a non-issue, but then again, so was this upgrade supposed to be something quick!! LOL.

It was working fine w/ v5.8.0, PG2 and PG3 - FYI. I wish there was a warning - I know it was in the forum, but messaging in the upgrade. Will do - thank you!

yes- I have not upgraded to PG3x as I have a PG2 node server that i am still using. I guess I may be stuck now as I cannot even get to the PG2 or PG3 interfaces. More problems... Node server is blank. I will open a ticket, and revert. thanks all-Steve

Finally unboxed Zooz ZEN34 scene switch, but not what I expected. Question #1- Finally was able to get 5 nodes to show up: Wall Controller, Scene Button 1, 2, Wake-up and basic control. However, I cannot get the device to accept "writes" for params. The green battery icon does not go away in the console -- nor can I get any parameters to update / write to the device after inclusion. The manual states 7 clicks to keep awake, but as others have mentioned, it does not seem to accept multiple commands, etc. Need to set param 4 to solve this, but cannot get the writes - lol. Anyone else able to solve the problems with this device ? thanks, Steve

@Geddy - thank you for the additional info - nothing in UDI mobile which I use. I am on Polisy, and today I left the admin console alone - didnt change tabs or anything. I have cleared settings in it before- not aware of anything that would impact though. On UDI mobile, I get the lost connection / re-connected to portal, so notification are working. Steve

@Techman - I have done 5-6 updates over months, have never seen a pop-up at the end! I am using the MacOS Java console if that matters. Most recently, the console remains running after the upgrade "completes" - aka the traffic in that log stops. Still seems off to me. Steve

Upgraded successfully to 5.7.1_7 and confirmed by checking the sysconfig.txt on Polisy. In the admin console when performing updates, I never receive any messages after complete. I have read there is a pop-up or something, or am I mistaken? I feel like I should reboot to fully complete the process? I monitor the process via /var/udx/logs/log (to make me feel better I guess)!! Same issue where all programs were disabled - a big deal for me actually as i have 100s. I am searching for a script to re-enable in the forums, if someone has, please highlight here.. thanks, Steve

Is there a way to see on the file system if the upgrade is pending? I was reading one of the threads, and accidentally clicked on the link - but still need PG2 node servers. I believe safari stopped me with an HTTPS warning - but just wanted to be sure before my PG2 is nuked! Thanks, Steve

I also have a Zen32, and am not sure if I am missing nodes, or I don't understand how you were able to work-around figuring out the states of buttons 1-4. I can see the buttons under the scene buttons, but i cannot tell anything else or control them , or use in programs. Only Query, which does not seem to indicate the proper status. thanks, Steve

I am having different issues w/this device - I just installed a ZEN32, and do not see any of the options you have to control. Did you do something special to include it? I just updated to 5.5.6 Polisy (and am using the ZMatter board), but only see Button 1-5, and Basic Assoc 2,4,6,8,10. None of the buttons have any controllable options except query. I did the smart inclusion, (with the QR code), but also tried re-interview - additional nodes did not show. Any ideas, or tricks? thanks, Steve
