I have 3 ISY devices on my portal, I would like to grant access to someone else only to 1 specific device. Would I add it thru add sub account in ISY Portal? Is it possible to grant access to 1 device only?

I saw that, what was confusing is the part that I would need to download a different file after installing the update. At that point I would already be by 5.0.16 not 5.0.8 or lower .

Im a bit unclear from first post. - You must use the 5.0.9 Admin Console or greater to upgrade to this release (5.0.16). Currently have 4.7.3 can I upgrade to 5016 directly or need to go to lower version first? - Upgrading from an ISY 4.x version to this version may require a lot of manual intervention including verifying scenes, programs and program settings are correct. What does verifying scenes mean?

Hi, im an old ISY user but new to portal / GH. Was just wondering is it possible to control a google home device using ISY. I am trying to arm my alarm.com system using a variable and theres no direct IFTTT or api integration for them, but they do have access to be armed thru GH. Would this be possible? or the portal only goes 1 way, GH to trigger ISY commands and not vice versa. Thanks

I dont understand why you would need variables at all? Just set 8 programs and use the If statement something like this; If KPL btn 1 is on and time is 5am then do this and this and this else enjoy another 3 hours of sleep. If KPL btn 2 is on and time is 6am then do this and this and this else enjoy another 2 hours of sleep. Etc.

Interesting thing though, I noticed in mobilinc that since switching to HTTPS it takes 2 3 seconds longer to connect then using http port, is this normal ?behavior?

Update: I rebooted the ISY and all is back to normal now. Using Https works fine.

Thats right, thats why I changed my router settings to connect to my ISY securely. As I said I cant login remotely via HTTPS: not thru my mobilinc and nor locally thru my pc, haven't tried to reboot the ISY yet, only hope is that that will help.

So I have been using http for quite a few years now and stumbled upon this thread. So I logged into my router and changed the port to 55443 tof be fwd to 443, didn't login to my isy at all, and now I can't login at all. Changed back no go. Problem is that it's in a remote location and I can't even reboot it, when logging in to pc in that network it doesn't even find the isy with ip scanner, any suggestions?

+1 i called smarthome last week for the same issue, the only solution they gave me was to run power from one location to the other, which is quite impossible.

Thanks, but if I do that would I be able to control them from one place, or I would have to login to each one individually to control my devices, ? their on the same network.

I wanna be able to control a thermostat remotely, and be able to get alerts if the thermostat gets changed by someone that shoudnt do it. Should I get the venstar T1800 with a ISY99i, which comes out close to $500, or I can get some other wifi thermostat that can do that, (I havent found one yet that can get me alerts as good as the Isy). I dont have or need any other insteon devices for this building at the moment. On a total different note. I have a large campus with lots of buildings, I wanna control a thermostat in 1 building and switches and 220 wall A/c in a different building, would I be able to control all buildings through 1 ISY, by somehow connecting some insteon device thru my existing cat5 wires etc. they are on seperate electric panels.

i have the isy99i, what's the benefit of switching to 994i?
