  1. Had to pick up some on/off switches for work. We were using KASA so I picked up some new ones (Kasa KP125M ) They now support MATTER. From my quick read of the forums, ZMATTER is for the support of Zigbee devices that support matter, I'm guessing over the zigbee network. Will my EISY support MATTER over ethernet/WiFi? Will it support the Kasa devices that support matter? Just learning so trying to understand this all.
  2. đź‘ŤAll is good, Just converted mine. eisy-peisy
  3. At the final prompt Should we answer Y or N?
  4. I was looking at Increase Performance or Add Redundancy? | UD Developer Docs (isy.io) post. I'm not a unix/FreeBSD expert but script doesn't work. It has 2 functions but the starting function is never called It calls the shell script But at the very bottom of the post it says to run the script but uses '.' instead of '_' And LAST.... You can only run this script ONCE if you choose the Performance option but run it many time if you select the Redundancy option??? I don't want to brick my machine.... Thanks
  5. FYI I have a hardwire network where my eISY sits, but my BOND controller is on the wifi side of my network. My network is behind a firewall/router which connects to the WAN. eISY 192.168.1.106 (hardwire) Wifi Router 192.168.1.6 (hardwire) BOND 192.168.86.85 (wireless) I punched a hole though the wifi router so I can access my BOND from the hardwired side setting up port 192.168.1.6 -> 8085 to map to port 192.168.86.85 -> 80 on the wireless side https://192.168.1.6:8085 For anybody else you can put a PORT number on the host name to get thru your wifi router :-)
  6. Yes, a small UPS is less expensive, but its a space issue I'm trying to solve. So the UPS's I have found are too big for where I want my unit to go. Thanks
  7. My eISY has a USB C connector that supplies power. I don't remember if there is a 12V connector, on it
  8. After all said and done, it was pretty easy. I did the migration of Polisy to eISY first, using the same zooz-700 let that run for a couple of weeks. Then this week I did the migration from the zooz-700 to the MATTER usb stick, It was as simple as clicking the Migrate button and READING THE PROMPTS. One is a negative question, where you have to select NO but, I went slow read each page to understand it and it just worked. It seems to have a better radio and switches that use to have issues connecting now connect and work perfectly. Thanks Michael and UD! I'm hoping to forget about my eISY and just live with my connected home, because it just works.
  9. My units at home so I couldn't look and I didn't find the power requirements on the UD web site tech notes. I've had couple of brown outs lately. Looking at some Plugged in Power banks. (eg: https://www.anker.com/products/a1621?variant=37437690052758 ) They both charge and provide battery power. Not knowing the power requirements of the eISY I don't want to underpower the power bank. I think this would be a smaller option than a full blow Uninterruptable power supply. A 10 minute option is all I'm looking for. What wattage on the USB C power cord does eISY require? Thanks Andy
  10. If this doesn't work, I will try to restore method. Thanks
  11. What I found I and what I am doing is I have to now manually on each device, Z-WAVE -> SYNCRONIZE -> UPDATE WITH INTERVIEW and they come back
  12. I was in the middle of the conversion from zooz-700 to a ZMATTER . I was watching the tail -f /var/isy/FILES/LOG/ZWAY.LOG do it stuff when the power went out. It wasn't complete. Now when log into my eISY many of the devices are marked disabled. Is there a way I can restart the conversion from where it left off. This is the first time in ages the power went out. So lesson learned, put the eISY on a U-Power Supply. Any pointers? Thanks
  13. Most of the topics talked about converting from ISY994 to Polisy or eISY which confused me. I wasn't doing a conversion I was just upgrading my Zooz700 to the Matter. It is as simple as just clicking the Migrate button and waiting and waiting till its done. Thanks for the help
  14. I've already moved from Polisy to eISY Its been running like a champ. Now I'm ready to move from Zooz-700 dongle to ZMATTER dongle. Is it nothing more than clicking the MIGRATE button? I'm relatively new to Z-Wave, I've removed all my old Insteon stuff (its in a box). Is this ready and working yet? Pointer to a doc where the steps are what I should be doing? Thanks
  15. I tried that and still it won't add, tried excluding it like ZOOZ says and that didn't help. What finally fixed it was to cut power to the switch. After that everything worked like a champ. You try so many things that the basics are what shoot you in the foot. Its all working now. Thanks
