  1. Restore PLM didn't help. The replacement PLM is brand new, but I guess that's no guarantee that it works properly. The PLM is on the same circuit that I have used for several years now. Looks like it's time to put the old PLM back in.
  2. I only have 5 links in the PLM but I have around 50 devices in my system. The wiki tells what to do if the count is zero or 900, but not if there are only a few links.
  3. I got the new PLM and successfully linked the FanLinc, but a whole bunch of other stuff went sideways. I've started another thread:
  4. I took one of the 2475's and one of the 2487's out of the system and then tried to re-link them. Surprisingly, I'm getting the error "cannot determine Insteon engine", even though both of these devices were fine with the earlier PLM. Here's where it get really strange: I just discovered that none of my programs are working, even though all are enabled. At this point I think it may be best for me to pay for a remote support session. There's just too much unexpected stuff happening.
  5. I was having a few minor issues with my system, like occasionally when I try to add a new device I would get the error "cannot determine Insteon engine". I replaced the 2413S PLM with a 2413U. I followed the procedure in the document "replace modem.pdf". After that' about half of my Insteon devices were working. I had to try "write updates to device", "restore device" or "restore link between xxx and controller" to get most of the devices working, but a few of the devices, like a 2475S and two 2487S's that were working reliably now refuse to communicate. Additionally, a couple Zigbee devices that were working perfectly are no longer reporting their status. I don't understand how Zigbee devices were affected at all by replacing the PLM. Looking at the event viewer, there are tons of X10-RX J10/status request (10) messages. Several per second. I remember seeing some of these before I replaced the PLM, but now there are many more. Any Idea what happened here? Thanks. -Rick
  6. I've got a fairly extensive home automation system based on an Eisy. Everything is working well at the moment. I am posting this because I'm 73 years old, and the person who will inherit my house is not very technical. I'd hate for him to have to remove all the systems I've worked hard to implement. In addition to the Eisy, there's lots of video surveillance and other computer network stuff. I'm looking for someone who would be interested in keeping things running after I'm gone. Any takers? Thanks. -Rick
  7. I did update the remote link tables but it did not help. I tried removing the 2475F and re-linking it, but the PLM failed to recognize it. I think my PLM may be dying. I just ordered a replacement PLM. I'll post the results here once I receive it.
  8. I think I'm having a senior moment. I had a 2475F that failed and I just replaced it with a used one I got on eBay. Previously, I could select speeds by pressing the "on" button on a mini remote 1, 2, or 3 times, but now that I have replaced the 2475F, I can only select "high" or "off". I probably missed a setting somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. Any tips? Thanks! -Rick
  9. UPDATE: I unplugged and re-plugged the PLM and the extra traffic is GONE! Hope it stays that way.
  10. I tried it with and without the extra tap. No joy. In case it was the DZPA1 at fault, I tried to add a Minoston MP20Z and it failed too.
  11. I have exactly the same issue, and, like you, I am seeing the traffic from 02 52 FF 80 a couple times a second. I don't have a spare PLM. Should I try to get one? I wonder if anyone else is seeing the same thing.
  12. Thanks for the response. I did as you suggested, and here's what I saw: Fri 11/10/2023 06:39:50 AM : ---- Start Adding Devices - S2 Standard --- Fri 11/10/2023 06:39:50 AM : [ZWAVE-INCL-S2STD] Start Include with S0/S2 or non-secure Fri 11/10/2023 06:39:50 AM : [ZWAVE-INCL-S2STD] Added 'CommandAdded' callback 0x842032ca8 Fri 11/10/2023 06:39:50 AM : Z-Wave Listening for Z-Wave devices to add to the network Fri 11/10/2023 06:39:50 AM : [X10-RX ] 02 52 FF 80 Fri 11/10/2023 06:39:50 AM : [ X10] J/Status Request (10) Fri 11/10/2023 06:39:50 AM : [X10-RX ] 02 52 FF 80 Fri 11/10/2023 06:39:50 AM : [ X10] J/Status Request (10) Fri 11/10/2023 06:39:51 AM : [X10-RX ] 02 52 FF 80 Fri 11/10/2023 06:39:52 AM : [ X10] J/Status Request (10) Fri 11/10/2023 06:39:52 AM : [X10-RX ] 02 52 FF 80 There are many more "status request" lines, but no response from a Z-wave device. The DZPA1 was blinking amber, indicating that it was ready to be included. Thoughts?
  13. I just attempted to add a Leviton DZPA-1 ON/OFF receptacle to my system and the system gets stuck adding a device to the Z-wave network. I tried another device and I got the same thing. I have other DZPA-1's in my network and I was able to add them with no trouble at all, so I know they are compatible. At this point it looks like I have lost the ability to add Z-wave devices. I can control Z-wave devices so that would imply that the dongle is working. I tried unplugging and re-plugging the Z-wave/Zigbee dongle and then restarting IoX, but it did not help. I'm running IoX 5.7.0. Any suggestions? Thanks. -Rick
  14. I attempted to link a Sonoff S31 Lite ZB Zigbee smart plug with my Eisy and something jumped the track. It was recognized as "ZB440505.1 Main", and the interview process seemed to complete normally, but the first time I tried to control it I got "Platform_errors--7058" and "platform_errors--7123". I take it that this means it is not supported yet? Thanks for any insight on this. -Rick
  15. Thanks, Techman. Actually, the solution was in that thread. See Geddy's post near the bottom. Sorry I didn't find that before starting a new thread. -Rick
  16. Originally when I ran the IoX finder it would show me one IP address. A few weeks ago this changed and now I am seeing the IP address followed by port 8443, then "eisy.local.8443", but then an error message "not found" pops up. I can acknowledge the error message and log in with no trouble, but I am wondering what the message is about. Any ideas? Thanks! -Rick
  17. I opened a ticket last week, but still no response. I am especially concerned that for the last couple of days when I try to check my tickets their website says "There has been a critical error on this website". I hope the folks at Universal Devices are OK. -Rick
  18. Thanks for the responses! This will get me going. Much appreciated! -Rick
  19. At this point I have about 40 "unavailable" devices showing in my Zigbee network. The only way I can see to get rid of them is to delete then one at a time- which takes about 4 minutes each. Is there a simpler way? If i select multiple entries I no longer have the option to delete. Thanks. -Rick
  20. I've got the Enbrighten fan control on my workbench. I can set any of the speeds from the paddle switch on the device, but so far I can only turn it on or off through my Eisy. I have fiddled with programs to set the speed, but to no avail. Any suggestions? Thanks. -Rick
  21. I just ordered the Embrighten fan control. Hope I can get it jammed inside the fan canopy. I'll be travelling all next week, but when I return I'll post my results installing it. Thanks to all for the great info! -Rick
  22. I was having trouble adding a Zigbee extender, and I foolishly attempted to re-sync the network (Zigbee > Synchronize > New & deleted with interview). Now I see dozens of devices that say "unavailable". Example: ZB 51612,1 Unavailable, ZB60225.1 Unavailable, ZB 9819.1 Unavailable. I couldn't stop the interview process and finally had to reboot the Eisy to make it stop adding devices. What happened? How can I get rid of these entries? deleting them one at a time is going to take forever. Thanks for any info on this. -Rick
  23. OK- I can't afford the Bond Pro- so if I get the basic Bond bridge, what do I install in the fan to control the motor? Bond's website has little specific information about fan control. If I go the Bond route, do I have to use the Bond app to control the fan? I'd much prefer to have the Eisy control everything. Sorry to be asking dumb questions. I've been trying to research this online, but I'm getting lots of conflicting info. Thanks for the help. -Rick
  24. I saw a thread about the Bond devices- but I hate to add a hub just to support one device. Not using Alexa. I'm keeping the whole thing arranged so I won't be dependent on the Internet.
  25. I didn't know the 2475F's were still available- but I've got mixed emotions about that. The Z-wave relays will only turn the fan on or off. I need speed control- and most dimmers will not work with an inductive load.
