  1. 5.0.16C rc1 overboard limits ! 12 minutes and 999 seconds ? Somewhere this could, in my opinion, cause a glitch. bug or no bug reported?
  2. @MrBill Manual explaining jumper and other functions involved.Advanced External Sensor Use, multi scenes https://www.insteon.com.au/manuals/2843-222.pdf More recent modules may be different
  3. Module 2843-222 I would suggest this because it seems to work for me Make sure the device in not paired. remove battery, place magnet close module ( in the correct position) remove jumper ... don't forget the put it back when done replace battery ( only after 10-15 sec) After the battery is in you should get one flash ( led) fast press for one more flash.... then...... press sw until you get led steady flash enter ID # to pair....... you should have the 3 nodes. if not.....and if you have the led still flashing, short press sw...... you should see led double fast flash now delete the device. restart pairing. Only delete the device in the double flash node unpair. If I don't do this on my module I get 2 nodes. Maybe it will work for you.?
  4. @Craigb These modules (none dual-band) may not communicate directly with the PLM if they are set on a different “ phase ” of the electrical system. They would rely on the mesh or cascading network provided by the other modules. You can set the PLM in => Phase Detection Mode to do a test. You might have to move the modules to an other ac receptacle for the test. Otherwise a bad mesh component might be corrupted or electrical interference power bars filtering ...etc.
  5. @Craigb I have two of the ApplianceLinc 2456S3 - v.42 working with 5.0.16C .Don't see any communication errors and they respond to the commands, can read the link table etc.. No errors after a restart Those modules are not dual band. I would suggest a module factory reset and move them to a different location for a test ( closer to the plm) and try again. If they work after this, than you can redo the scenes etc...
  6. Possible , I have never used it before. I have to look at it time permitting. I have used the contact for long time so fa very good. The heartbeat works fine. Still the second scene does not seem to work correctly.
  7. famous door sensor. The hearthbeat is sent every 24hrs off / on depends on the state of the senor that time. I have made a counter to check The opened node will be off/on depending on magnet position I f a magnetic conctact is added on the bus ( jumper on) the opened node state will be off/on if the side magnet is not present if side magnet present state will be always off. The closed node is to be used with the external bus.Depending if the jumper is place or not.On my system it will show-up but is weird. I am looking at this today time permitting. it seems to go in a latching on mode and can't come out of it. Other issues also with this sensor in the dashboard, I reported it in the other thread.
  8. Seems to work with lollipop ( TAB S ) with the latest, but slow on https.
  9. My PLM lasted 3 years, it just went dead.Got myself a new one the V2. Some people using the HL software are going to have problems with the new PLM's unless smarthome pushes a new update on the HL software,.If not that's good news for UD.

    error log

Hi I am having a problem opening the error log file. I can erase but, if I try to view it it gives me request failed or nothing. Is it because it's empty, not created ? Version release 4.2.27 rc4.
  11. @ Michel Hello ! Loaded up 3.3.4 again ! procedure: did a backup of ISY 3.2.6 scanned 3.3.4 zip update file. disabled KIS to make sure it would not interfere. updated ISY. turned KIS enable Noticed a few issues with scanning tables for PLM, one lamplinc cleared PLM, lamplinc, restore PLM, device, rebooted ISY,PLM For now it seems to be working correctly. Did not see previous response issues. Have not tried dashboard yet.
  12. try: open the java console, stay open and try the ISY finder again. you should detect it, it would show up with the mac add.
  13. @ Michel how did you get it to function again ? Yes I am back to 3.2.6 Firw/UI Symptoms: After udate to 3.3.4 Web base UI all ok. Java UI ( admin. console ) did not respond to queries ( PLM would show as connected but did not answer queries like table content etc.) Starting at times, it did not recongnise java version so no start ,told me min version req. Java streamer logo ended with error message. Turning off Kaspersky made the console work. Checked my insteon network with the usb modem (HCA) all was fine. used this link a couple time http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/admin.jnlp very useful Went back to UI ver 3.2.6 no change Cleared 3.3.4 certificate in jave udated back to firware 3.2.6 no change Final easy solution : windows registry backup recovery : worked (On one backup was too old and messed up windows: used system image) Could be a glitch or Kaspersky locked it up when it did a scan or web monitoring, or the new dashboard messed up when I made the new certificate at the beginning icon looked normal exept for "?" icon on the left side then for no reason all the red off icon vanished. Everything works fine now. Hope this helps
  14. Tried the 3.3.4 on my 994i and had trouble getting the states of the modules. That is, the admin console stalled sytem busy, or ready, queries to plm failed or the console would not react ( enable internet acces .... etc.) On my win7 machines ( 32/64) the only way for the console to react was to turn off my antivirus, On my win 8 java crashed with an error message at login.( something about an applet, class) I succeded going back to 3.2.6 ui & firmware. but the problem stayed. Things started going bad in the dashboard. It seems that ,somehow, a problem started in the registries. Hope it's not the antivirus update, Had to use a registry backup on the win7/32, backup image restore on the win7/64 nothing else worked Java is/was up-to-date with the latest version. ( Never use the java cache). (Tried IE, Firerfox , Google from scratch) Back to normal now on the machines.
