No VWS Internet addition is $99.95 from Ambient Weather. I checked Weatherbug stations and WU stations in my area and there are many more WU stations near me.

I don't know if it uses modules. All I know is I can send three files: dbase.csv, data.csv (the real time file), and warnings.txt to any file location or url and to update those files at specified time settings. Of course there is ftp upload as well. If looking at the .csv files would help I could send them. I am not a programmer at all....just know enough to get in trouble. I remember reading on here that WeatherUnderground wanted to charge UD to use their data which was prohibitive. Ideally, I would like to see if there is a way to send my own data directly to my ISY. Maybe there is not enough of us with our own stations to warrant this. VWS can use connections from several manufactures of weather stations. Stan

I agree it would be more beneficial to access the data from our own stations output. Currently I am using Virtual Weather Station to send my data in real time to HomeSeer, WeatherUnderground, and WeatherBug. Within VWS you can redirect the data files to any file location you want. Setting up weatherunderground and weather bug are done through VWS. Since recently purchasing the ISY and beginning to see it's great potential, I hope to eliminate HomeSeer completely and get my climate/weather info from the ISY. Stan

Another thank you, jmed999. I also would like to be able to access my own station through ISY, either via the Davis VP2 or VWS. The .csv files are easily redirected to any file location through VWS. Stan

Was digging around the site to see if there was an alternative to gathering weather info other than WeatherBug. I have been using VWS for over ten years and have pulled my weather data needed for automation from the HomeSeer plugin. I am attempting to consolidate my resources by eliminating HomeSeer which means I need a source for Zwave and VWS. VWS can obtain data from many manufacturers of weather stations, and I see by this thread that there was interest a few years ago. The WeatherBug module is ok, but it would be nice to have access to all data from our own personal stations in addition to weather conditions from local METAR stations. Are there any plans to have this implemented, or has it fallen off the radar? Off topic, I see zwave may be coming. Can I use my Aeon labs Z-Stick and my zwave thermostats with what is planned? Stan

Been using ISY for about a month now. Just love it. Quick question regarding 3.3.6. I just performed the upgrade and noticed the firmware and UI have different version nos. Is this correct? Stan
