  1. "If the Admin Console closes automatically,....". (This is from the troubleshooting section of the UDI Wiki). This exact problem arose when I tried to use my console recently, after several months of non-use, and it took me about 3 hours to solve. I use Kaspersky security and tried the approach described in "Configure Firewall - Kaspersky" for it, with no success. At the time I did not know what exact website address to use. The link example in "Configure Firewall - Kaspersky" (http://*.example.com/*) provided no help because it did not lead to anything nor did it describe what my website address would look like. I tried a few possibilities, to no avail. I subsequently turned off my firewalls and found that the problem still existed. So I decided it wasn't a firewalll problem. Somewhere in a saved online discussion, I read about adding a URL to the ISY finder. It advised that the added URL should include port numbers. Then I had to struggle to find where the port numbers were identified. I learned they were stored in my UDI 994i configuration. Of course, being unable to open the Admin Console, I could not access them. I found an 8 year old picture of my configuration that had the port numbers, and used them and they solved the problem. Perhaps this approach would help someone else. A picture of my modiifed ISY finder is enclosed. 20201121 Broken URL causing Admin shutdown - fix.docx

More Details Define a new scene for each key (e.g., 'Bedroom Keypad Key A Scene'). Make the keypad key (e.g., Bedroom Keypad Key A)a member of that scene, as a responder to that scene. Set the scene level to 100 (1-99 won't work). Then you can use a program line "Set scene 'Keypad Key A Scene' ON".
  3. 1. I created a fixed IP number in ISY994 when I was doing port forwarding some time age, using an ATT gateway. 2. I changed network providers to Uverse without changing the ISY994 back to DHCP. 3. My ISY won't link to the Uverse gateway, no doubt because it is not set up for DHCP. 4. I can cure the problem by doing a factory reset. I have my programs stored, but there is still work to do to bring the system back to its state before this snafu. 5. However it seems theoretically possible that a software tool for a Windows computer may exist that would handle serial communications between the ISY994 PLM and a second PLM that is connected to my computer, and that supports the Admin Console. If so, I could change the IP address setting to DHCP and be good to go with the new gateway. I say that such a tool may exist only because I know there is a simplehomenet software tool that handles serial communications between a WIndows computer and an EZIO8 using the EZIOm PLM and a second PLM, which I have used several times to set up my EZIO8. 6. Does anyone know of such a software tool? 7. Is there some other simple way to solve the problem that takes less than the hour or two that it would take me to rebuild the status of my ISY994 back up from a factory reset?
