I could not find the other threads and my a echo is showing a combination of my devices and some others that appear to be in french. What is the proper procedure to fix this? -
Ok, had this happen to me at 5:55am this morning and I have 2 separate programs that turn on a 2 devices at 5:55am so it seems related. This has never happened to me before today. Almost all of the lights turned on and both garage doors opened, sprinklers stayed off. I haven't made any changes to any programs in a few weeks so I'm pretty sure that it's nothing that I caused. MWareman's collision explanation above makes sense to me but I don't have any wireless devices. I'll change my programs so they don't happen at the same time, but this is very concerning. I should also mention that I haven't created a program or scene that might turn on all of these devices, in other words, I haven't created my own "All Lights On" program/scene. I can provide more log info but here is the 5:55am info. Odd thing is that I don't see where it actually opened both garage doors and many of the lights that came on were also not listed in the log. The rest of the log just shows me turning stuff on and off devices a couple of minutes later. Ok, now both garage doors are closed and status is showing "on" for both and the issue seems to be gone for now. I guess I won't play with trigger reverse any more I will look into com issues (as mentioned above) to resolve the 3am problem. Thanks.
-
If garage door is closed, green led is lit. If garage door is open, green led is off.
-
Hmm, thought I uploaded the file, let me try again. ISY-Events-Log.v4.2.18__Mon 2015.06.08 08.20.39 PM.txt

Green LED on Both. Same switch/setup on both identical units. Only problem I was having before I messed with trigger reverse was occasionally waking up to lights on based on a program set to turn them on when GD is open.
-
So I read this thread and thought I would see if I could resolve my 3am garage door issues (occasional lights on in the garage in the morning when I wake up. Trigger reverse was not selected so I thought I would try it, bad idea. Now that I have unchecked trigger reverse, my status is reversed. On one door, things are working correct. When door is closed, status is on. On the other door, when door is closed status is off. Both doors do not have the option for trigger reverse and both doors are set exactly the same. I tried restoring the device and no change. Any ideas?

Funny, I just noticed the same thing the other day on one of my thermostats but wasn't sure if I should be concerned. This stat is actually an Insteon unit. Should I be concerned? I've added more devices and now my organization is getting difficult. Do most of you organize by: Devicetype/Location or Location/Devicetype or Location or Device or Other? Also, how about scenes and programs? Thanks.

I've got two insteon 2334-232's, one is setup to display the status of my garage door and also control the garage door. I set this up a while ago and used scenes to make it all work. I'm trying to setup another keypad so that it works the same way. When I try to add the new keypad to the scene, I receive a message that the garage door is already controlled by the other keypad. Is it possible to setup two keypads to display and control one garage door? Thanks.

Everything has been working well since I resolved this issue but I just noticed something weird and I think it's related to this issue/thread. I have an insteon wall switch that is some how controlling an X10 switch. When I turn on or off the insteon switch, the x10 switch turns on or off. In addition to that, when I turn on or off the x10 switch from the admin console, the insteon switch turns on or off as well. I've checked through all of my programs and scenes and don't see anything in the programming that would cause this. Is it possible that the 2 devices are using the same PLM address (if I'm understanding that correctly) and thats why this is happening? I've tried re-adding the insteon device and used the restore device command and nothing is changing. When I re-added the insteon switch, I used the first option in linking to remove existing links. I'm a noob so please excuse any of the above that might seem stupid. I'll be replacing the x10 device this weekend but just want to understand how this can happen. Thanks.

Heartbeat function on 2843-222 Rev.1.9 Open/Close Sensor
saphotoexpress replied to Davonavo's topic in ISY994
I just got my first leak sensor which is also my first device with the heartbeat function. There were no options on the heartbeat function in the Admin console, it only shows a status of "ON". Does it make sense to create a program that checks it once a week and notify me if it changes to "OFF"? Sorry, if this is a stupid question but the battery low option on my motion sensor made more sense and works fine, the heartbeat function doesn't make sense to me yet. Here's the program I was thinking of creating, but I'm guessing there is probably a better way. Don't want to create anything that might create a drain on the device battery but the program below also leaves me the possibility of no leak detection for a week. Thanks. If On Sat Time is 7:25:00PM And Status 'Leak Sensors / Leak Sensor 1-Heartbeat' is Off Then Send Notification to 'Default' Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') -
Noise caused by washer/dryer - How do I get past it?
saphotoexpress replied to saphotoexpress's topic in ISY994
I finally got some time to do some testing and I'm thinking that I just have a bad insteon wall switch that needs to be replaced and I probably need to bite the bullet and replace the last of my old x10 devices. I've got a newer LG clothes dryer and it seems like it is only affecting the x10 devices. The insteon wall switch gives me a communication error when I launch the admin console and it doesn't matter if the dryer is plugged in or not. X10 devices don't always respond when the dryer is running and seem to respond better if the dryer is unplugged. Thanks for the input, I'll replace the x10's and the insteon switch and see how reliable things are after that. -
Noise caused by washer/dryer - How do I get past it?
saphotoexpress replied to saphotoexpress's topic in ISY994
I double checked and it's not a noise filter but a signalinc 220 repeater. I installed it over a year ago hoping that it would help but it doesn't. The dryer is plugged into the repeater and then the repeater is plugged into the 220 outlet on the wall. I'm hoping you guys have a solution because it seems like there should be something better than unplugging or killing the breaker. Thanks. -
Hi, I have a dryer that is causing problems with my device communications. I've added access points and a 220V plugin filter and still have occasional issues. If I unplug the dryer, everything works great but the wife is not happy. I've learned to live with it but thought I would ask the forum if anyone had a simple solution. Thanks!

I've got 2 heat pump systems so I bought 2 of the Venstar T1900 with insteon modules and humidity modules. They work great and all of the info is displayed in MobileLinc. The only thing I couldn't do though the admin console was access the 7 day program functions that are built into the unit. I created programs in the admin console so that my ISY runs it instead of the built in 7 day program. Yes, I know, I could just walk up to the units and create a 7 day program by pushing the buttons on the thermostat, but what fun would that be and I could do that with any thermostat

Update, following some advice from support I did the following: 1. Powered up the PLM 2. Powered up the ISY 3. Restored the PLM from the admin console 4. Restored the devices from the admin console This seemed to put things back in order. Much better now. Thanks.
-
I know I have rebooted everything at this point but wasn't sure if there was anything I could do now that I have already made some mistakes. I'll try powering up the PLM, then the ISY and then do the restore to see if that fixes the issues.
-
Same hardware from both locations, 994iPro with 2413S. ISY was powered up when I plugged in the PLM (now I know better after googling my problem). None of the devices are battery powered. Most of the devices with red ! are wall switches and lamplinc modules.
-
Hi, I had a PLM go out and judging by the comments on the reviews for the 2413S, this is a common thing. I thought I could just borrow the PLM from my work system and use it at home but now I think I might have messed up both locations. I don't really care about the work setup but my house is the real concern. I used the "restore PLM" option in the admin console and now many of my devices have ! communication issues. I followed the instructions on the Wiki for the PLM restore but then I started to wonder if part of the issue is that it is not a new PLM (was using it at work with another ISY). Does anyone know if I can salvage my home setup or am I going to have to re-add each device? I did backup the ISY.

MOtion Sensor and Scene Control (programming)

Thanks for the additional comments. I think I could resolve this if I knew how to do this: -if the light switch is manually turned off, disable the response to motion for 5 minutes -

I didn't think it would be this hard to get out the door. The current program below is still behaving the same way, when we head for the door, the lights come on, even if we hit the switch, any ideas? -

Thanks LeeG, I probably should have mentioned that I'm not an expert at this. I've read your comments 8+ times and created the following 2 programs. Do you think this will work?
