  1. I upgraded to 4.0.5 on Friday. The symptoms have been the same since I first installed the ISY (with 3.3.10 or whatever the last non-beta release was). I downloaded java 1.7.0_21 a month or so ago.
  2. I run Windows XP and see this problem in the Admin Console with any of Explorer, Firefox or Chrome set as preferred browser. Immediately after logging on to the Admin Console, under the main tab, if I select a keypadlink sub-switch or a remote link 2 switch from the ISY list, the first time the name in the main screen displays correctly. After that, for an INSTEON device in the ISY list, the first character of the name is overwritten by the last character in the name. If I select a device under a scene, the displays in the Current State, On Level and Ramp Rate are corrupted, usually with f and % characters. If the state of the device changes, the display corruption sometimes changes to a different corruption or displays correctly. This problem doesn't show up when I use Safari, Explorer of Firefox on our MAC.
  3. Now I am unconfused. Thank you.
  4. Setting a scene ON will turn each device within the scene to it's pre-defined ON levels. Setting the same scene to OFF turns all devices in the scene to OFF. The fact that you named the scene "all INSTEON off" does not mean that you cannot use that scene to turn this scene ON. -action ON will turn each device within the scene to it's pre-defined ON level, at the pre-defined ramp rate -action FASTON will turn each device within the scene to 100%, instantly -action FASTOFF will turn each device OFF, instantly -action OFF will turn each device OFF, at the pre-define ramp rate
  5. I have a mixture of INSTEON and X10 light switches and a program that turns off all of them. The actions (Thens) in the program consist of a list of "all offs" for the X10 switches and an "all INSTEON off" scene for the INSTEON switches. To put the "all INSTEON off" scene in the program I have to specify three fields: Insteon/X10, Device or Scene, and Action (on, off, fast on, fast off, etc.). I am confused as to what the effects are of the various options under Action for my "all INSTEON off" scene. I can see different effects using "on" from "off," but I can't figure out what's causing them. The "all off" scene sets each device to a specified state, so what differences in execution are there between setting "all INSTEON off" to On and "all INSTEON off" to Off in the program? If this has already been addressed, could you point me to a relevant thread, please?
  6. This is day 2 since I started to replace my PowerLink with an ISY-99i. I've linked my 20 Insteon switches set up a couple of scenes and half a dozen programs using scenes and programs which drive X-10 switches, also. I set up four new scenes around an hour ago and there are issues with some devices not responding as I had hoped. When I look in the Main tab I can see 15 green arrows labeled "Waiting" pointing at various elements in the tree. They have been there for over an hour now. Is there any way to find out if the system has locked up, or if it is working as advertised, how much longer I should expect to have to wait?
