Thank you. I had missed that Polyglot plugin setting/information/action in the UD app. Still, I see no way to easily reboot Polyglot.

Hi, I use and enjoy UD devices every day. I am old and cranky. Keeping plugins updated - I may be confused but: It seems I have to logon to PG3x web interface Https://mypolisy:3000, say OK to this site is not secure (no certficate), then go to logon page to enter username and then password, then click on purchases. Then have to scan display page to finally see if any plugins I have purchased/installed need to be updated. A lot of steps - how about sending me an email or at least notifying me via UD mobile app that i need to update a plugin? Rebooting Polyglot PG3x There have been times when my Polisy is running (scenes and programs working) but Polyglot plugins seem to stop working/hung. There does not seem to be a drop down menu item on the polyglot interface to reboot just polyglot. I have tried warm rebooting the "working" Polisy but I often need to cold boot Polisy to get the plugins working again. How about adding a Polyglot menu item to reboot Polyglot only (perhaps in the System tab) Suggestions, comments? Best regards

Hi, Magic happened. Its working. After your note about new version yesterday, I reinstalled Polisy/Hubitat/Nodeserver and rebooted everything. Thought I was up to date. This AM I got a "message" from PGx3 that a new version of Polisy/Hubitat/Nodeserver was available. OK thought I had done that. I re-reinstalled Polisy/Hubitat/Nodeserver and magically "CONNNECTED" appeared on the Polisy Hubitat nodeserver. Current Version: 1.0.2 [Production] - seems like something got fixed. Still no Real-time Hubitat log file. But I now see six Hubitat nodes/devices that include the lights I want to control. Now lets see if I can make stuff happen to those lights. Thanks for your help

Hi, In this post above https://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/43492-my-experience-with-hubitathousepanel-nodeserver-in-2024/#comment-383412 I uploaded some 2 zipped overall logfiles from Polyglot/Polisy (not hubitat nodeserver specific) that were recorded around the time I first tried to install Polisy Hubitat nodeserver - they include explicit lines mentioning hubitat nodeserver. FYI - sudo pkg python3 - returns with you have the latest version of phython3 already installed.

Hi, Again thanks for your help. I tried reinstalling Polisy Hubitat Nodeserver as you suggested. No Joy. (I did get the always present error message saying the install of Polisy Hubitat Nodeserver FAILED. I am not sure I am communicating what I am experiencing on my Polisy - I think the Hubitat nodeserver is not installed/working correctly. Two reasons listed below. 1) I always get an error message from day one, saying my install of Polisy Hubitat Nodeserver FAILED. While it seems to be running, every install gives me one of those annoying popups that disappear saying something that vanishes almost immediately, telling me some message to the effect that install has FAILED. 2) Polisy Hubitat Nodeserver NEVER shows any log files. I click on the log button, the window changes, but only shows the image below Real-time Hubitat log file Scroll to BottomDownload LogDownload Log PackageDebugInfoWarningErrorCritical But NO LOG information - Blank, not even a data window is created As an example of a nodeserver (Yolink) that is working for me "data window" - see below Real-time YoLink log file Scroll to BottomDownload LogDownload Log PackageDebugInfoWarningErrorCritical AutoScroll 2024-05-20 23:14:01,722 Thread-7 udi_interface ERROR yoLink_init_V3:connect_to_broker: Exception - connect_to_broker: timed out 2024-05-20 23:14:03,726 Thread-7 udi_interface INFO yoLink_init_V3:connect_to_broker: Connecting to broker... 2024-05-20 23:14:03,727 Thread-7 udi_interface DEBUG yoLink_init_V3:request_new_token: yoAccess Token exists : True 2024-05-20 23:14:03,728 Thread-7 udi_interface INFO yoLink_init_V3:connect_to_broker: Retrieving YoLink API info 2024-05-20 23:14:03,729 Thread-7 udi_interface DEBUG yoLink_init_V3:retrieve_device_list: retrieve_device_list 2024-05-20 23:14:04,242 Thread-7 udi_interface ERROR yoLink_init_V3:retrieve_device_list: Exception - retrieve_device_list : 'devices' The Hubitat Device logs show nothing other than what I posted previously. I keep thinking that the Polisy Hubitat Nodeserver, while showing valid configuration settings, is not really installed correctly. What are the FreeBSD packages dependencies for Polisy Hubitat Nodeserver? Thanks

Hi, Thanks for the follow-up. I have made some suggested changes, but still remain 192.168.1.194 Polisy/Hubitat/PGx3/nodeserver "disconnected" FYI - about logging/logs I turned on 192.168.1.197 Hubitat HousePanel logging and now see logfiles BUT - 192.168.1.194 Polisy/Hubitat/PGx3/nodeserver - I can't see any log files - when under Polyglot V3 Hubitat click on LOG Real-time Hubitat log file - Nothing - restqart Polisy Hubitat node server - NO log file Real-time Hubitat log file Scroll to BottomDownload LogDownload Log PackageDebugInfoWarningErrorCritical AutoScroll Scroll to Top So to recap - after cold boot of Polisy device and Hubitat device, and waiting 5 minutes Configurations Hubitat 192.168.1.197 device: Hubitat HousePanel webSocketHost text 192.168.1.194 webSocketPort text 9100 accessToken String xxxxxx directIP String 192.168.1.194 directPort String 9100 Polisy 192.168.1.194 device: Polisy/Hubitat/PGx3/nodeserver accessToken xxxxxxx hubEndpt http://192.168.1.197/apps/api/906 restPort 9100 LOGS Hubitat 192.168.1.197 Device app:9062024-05-20 04:46:26.311 PMinfostate changes will be posted to HP at IP: 192.168.1.194:9100 app:9062024-05-20 04:46:26.267 PMinfoHubitat Local EndPoint = http://192.168.1.197/apps/api/906 app:9062024-05-20 04:46:26.264 PMinfoAccess Token = xxxxxxx Polisy 192.168.1.194 Device NO Logs - Real-time Hubitat log file - Nothing Status Hubitat(6) Current Status: Disconnected Current Version: 1.0.10 [Production] Time Started: May 20, 2024, 5:22:10 PM Uptime: 29 minutes I remain stumped. I think there is a problem with my install of Hubitat nodeserver on my Polisy. Hubitat node server generates NO log, no log window, and just a popup error message that disappears quickly, saying something about /var/logfile does not exist. In the past I have re-installed Hubitat nodeserver on my Polisy to try to correct the install error messages from the first install a week or so ago. (not really sure how to uninstall/delete a node server) Attached are the original log files captured around the time of the first install of Hubitat nodeserver on polyglot pgx3 from a week or so ago. I have not investigated them, but they might have clues. system_4-29-2024_82015_AM.zip pg3_4-29-2024_82003_AM.zip

Hi, Thank you for your gracious response to my somewhat cranky post. The information you provided is helpful in moving forward, but I remain stuck. I have not been able to get my Hubitat (192.168.1.197) to communicate with my Polisy (192.168.1.194) (both have reserved/fixed IP addresses) On my Hubitat, I used Hubitat Package Manager to install HousePanel. Then added HousePanel to Hubitat via user app. Chose my three Hubitat devices I want exposed - two zigbee light bulbs and the group of the two light bulbs. Opened HUB Actions log file (not obvious which log activity to watch) and hit done to adding app. This is the only log information I received from that action. app:9062024-05-16 01:11:28.885 PMinfostate changes will not be posted to HP because no server IP was provided Went to the newly visible Hubitat HousePanel Version: 3.2.5 and then settings (gear) and saw some information including things I understand my three device names accessToken xxxxxxxxxxxx endpt String http://192.168.1.197/apps/api/906 (ip of my Hubitat) but no port?? but also things I did not understand directIP String 192.168.4.4 directIP2 String 0 directIP3 String 0 directPort String 8560 ???? this ip is not in my subnet I went to Polisy PGx3 (192.168.1.194) nodeserver HousePanel. (I get an error message every time I try to install - but it seems to be running) Current Status: Disconnected Current Version: 1.0.10 [Production] Time Started: May 16, 2024, 1:21:39 PM Uptime: 23 minutes I go to Configuration for HousePanel nodeserver (disconnected) and enter accessToken xxxxxxxxx hubEndpt http://192.168.1.197/apps/api/906 restPort 9100 (?????? why this port? - is this for Hubitat or Polisy??? if I browse to my POLISY http://192.168.1.194:9100 if everything is working should I see housepanel?) I save and restart Housepanel nodeserver and watch the Housepanel nodeserver logs Real-time Hubitat log file - EMPTY - nothing. Restart again. Real-time Hubitat log file EMPTY - and Housepanel still "running" but "disconnected" If I look at PGx3 Real-time Polyglot log file I see stuff related to HousePanel Hubitat 16/05/2024, 10:51:31 [pg3] debug: MQTT Results: [frontend/system/admin] :: {"getStoreEntry":{"id":151,"uuid":"e015d267-f9b8-4fbf-ab47-ea28c5f5830f","name":"Hubitat","version":null,"status":"active","desc":"Hubitat Node Server \nThis node server reads most device types that Hubitat supports and presents them to ISY in an appropriate format. /rant on Hi I use and enjoy my Polisy Pro every day. I wanted to have Polisy control some lights stuck on Hubitat (more info available if interested). Paid $20 for Hubitat node server and have been unable to understand/login/configure Hubitat node server. From PG3x, installed paid for Hubitat nodeserver and got error: Plugin Install of Hubitat failed with message:udx: /rest/pg3.install.ns returned error status 500 (Peeve - this error message is one of those popup boxes that the text cannot be copied from, and once the mouse move away, it disappears) However, I do see from UD Admin - slot 6 configure Hubitat with fields for things like user id, base url, password, port, etc. Almost like it is working? Watched all the youtube housepanel tutorials from the author https://www.youtube.com/@kenontube Ken Washington Tried to browse to localpolisyip:3080 (default port for housepanel/hubitat node server) also tried localpolisyip:9100 (the port listed in the slot 6 config menu) Nothing. I am stumped. With hindsight, I should have noticed that this plugin had last activity 4 years ago. I see no easy way to contact Ken Washington, only one or two users. I am not angry about the seemingly wasted $20, but more annoyed about the wasted time. I am pessimistic about my getting this plugin to work. I hope to be shown to be wrong. Again, I use and enjoy my ISY devices every day. Perhaps ISY could remove inactive/abandoned plugins from the plugin store. AND allow error message texts to be electronically copied, not just manually transcribed. /rant off I still continue to appreciate the ISY team and community support.

Went to Settings: Systems and checked UUID of retired isy-994i pro and it was correct. However when I opened the Edit System for the retired isy-994i pro, I got a POPUP - Subscription The Universal Devices Portal is waiting for your device to connect to the internet. This System has connected to UD Portal in the past but is currently not connected. Please try again. OK - This part of UD Mobile knows retired isy-994i pro is OFFLINE. However - Going back to HOME tab of UD Mobile stubbornly lists the retired isy-994i pro as CONNECTED. Clicking on the retired isy-994i pro offers Devices, Schedules, Notifications, Geofences, More If I click on the my Devices Icon, i get displayed in UD Mobile the correct/entire list of my insteon and zwave devices. Seems like the remnants of the retired isy-994i pro are still inside UD mobile. I have now deleted the retired isy-994i pro and its Icon and information are gone. Still seems like a bug that until I deleted the retired isy-994i pro, it had an icon that said Connected.

Hi, I use and enjoy my ISY devices every day. I use UD mobile 1.1.55 on my ipad. I have three devices each with an active portal subscription: 1) Polisy Pro 2) Backup Polisy Pro 3) isy-994i pro (retired) The real situation as of now - reflected correctly when logged onto myisoio Polisy Pro ONLINE Backup Polisy Pro - OFFLINE (was connected to the internet once yesterday to configure and powered off yesterday) isy-994i pro - OFFLINE ( retired, unplugged and has not be connected to anything since June 2023) UD Mobile Shows: 1) Polisy Pro CONNECTED 2) Backup Polisy Pro - CLOSED/ERROR qand oAuthPortqal 503 not online -- AND this cycles over and over and over 3) isy-994i pro (retired) CONNECTED (no error messages - even though has not been connected since June 2023) ISY portal gets it right. UD Mobile is confused.

Registering used Polisy Pro to portal after deleting from old account. Logged on to ISY portal. Chose - add device. Entered uuid for my used (new to me) Polisy Pro. Offered 30 day trial license, accepted. Accepted license request on local Polisy Pro admin console. Seems like I have successfully transferred used Polisy Pro to my ISY portal account.

Thanks for the reply. FYI - I seem to have unlinked this used Polisy Pro from its old user portal account. Logged in to local used Polisy Pro. Selected Configuration, Portal. Chose Portal Integration Revoke. Clicked, and with nary an "are you sure? confirmation" was presented with refreshed webpage showing offline - not registered (previously showed online - registered) Cold booted used Polisy Pro and it now/continues to show portal - offline/not registered. Lets see what happens when I try to link this used Polisy Pro to my account. By the way - an annoyance: I could not find a way to select/copy/paste the Polisy uuid - everywhere the uuid was displayed I was unable to select it (for example; admin console or help about). I had to read the uuid and manually type it. Sheesh!

Hi, I recently purchased a used Polisy Pro as backup for my existing Polisy Pro. I received it and would like some advice on configuration. I booted it up and can login with admin/admin. I upgraded to IoX 5.8.0 and migrated to pG3x 3.2.20. Here is where I would like advice: 1) All the old devices and programs (seems to be Zwave only) are still "installed" and running. 2) This Polisy is still actively connecting to, and registered to the prior owner on the ISY portal. What is the best way to delete all the old devices and programs and to delete the old portal registration so I might register it in the future to me (don't need to register yet, as my existing Polisy Pro is working well) Thanks for your input

Hi, Maybe relates to UD Mobile and status values but: Rain/flooding here in NH took out Internet for two days. Had never set up UD Mobile 1.1.44 to use local network. Did so when no internet available. Saw local polisy pro. Connected. Tried to save local connection details. Forced to try sync. Declined. Would not save local connection details. Re-entered local connection details, allowed to sync. Got "Getting Energy Expert Files From ISY" status message and five minutes later, still stuck on Getting Energy Expert Files From ISY. I don't believe I have ever configured anything related to "energy expert." Internet restored. Sync completes with only complaints about "status variables." FYI

Thanks for the reply. More info: My upgrade to PG3x was November 13 Several package updates has been successfully completed since then. - Yah PG2 still being offered Probably just cosmetic

Updated to PG3x from PG2 and PG3 on my Polisy Pro. Cleared java cache, redownloaded fresh jnlp. Start admin console and am offered option to goto/logon PG2 and PG3x. I thought PG2 was removed when migrating to PG3x. Clicking on PG2 option goes nowhere. Suggestions?

Problems with recent migration to PG3x (from PG2 and PG3)
whywork replied to whywork's topic in Polyglot v3 (PG3x)
Some closure I have a PolisyPro in production and a retired/disconnected Isy-994i pro (polisy Pro connected to USB dongle 2448A7 - which means I hope to never have PLM power supply capacitor issues - with Isy-994i pro pre-configured as backup, but I digress). With PG2 and PG3 running - both PolisyPro and Isy-994i pro were configured/had node servers assigned. PG2 and PG3 connected to the PolisyPro but happily "ignored" the missing Isy-994i pro. After the migration with just PG3x running it seems PG3x is VERY upset that the Isy-994i pro is missing! Why do I say that? I deleted Isy-994i pro from PG3x configuration and the FreeBSD CPU usage went back down to 3% (from 50% - 70% or greater) Everything started working and no more up/down starting messages. Seems like everything is working OK even after 24hrs. Perhaps PG3x could be a little more forgiving; my wife tells me I should try to be. -

Hi, Thanks for the quick reply. I appreciate your help. I have no clue as to who/what 000db95336 user is or the plugin it is related to. This is a "plain vanilla" Polisy Pro that was running perfectly OK with PG2 and PG3 three days ago with assorted "plug-ins"/node servers. CPU utilization spike came only after following posted instructions to migrate to PG3x. I am unsure as to how to query "top" to learn more about the "rogue" user/process. I am happy to help with further information if I can. Suggestions? -

Bah and Ugh! Following migration to PG3x two daya ago, I get constant Node/App up down messages and PG3 starting messages. Background: Polisy Pro 5.7 via ethernet with PG2 and PG3 running for months with no Polyglot errors/messages. End of life - updated to PG3x two days ago After several reboots - PG3x 3.2.16 finally seemed up and running ALL - Old installed node servers were up and running. BUT Got 37 messages in UD mobile last night about all installed node servers starting and stopping. Also got several messages about PG3 starting. Tried soft reboot, Cold reboot and "update packages" - No Joy. Now when I try to logon to PG3x, get http error auth failure then try again immediately and do get to logon to PG3x but some node servers are disconnected. (see PG3x log snippet below) ALSO - from java IoX launcher - still get offered ability to logon to PG2 (yes PG2) - it does go nowhere but still it is offered. PG3x - migration question - Wifi configuration
whywork replied to whywork's topic in Polyglot v3 (PG3x)
Found the place in UD mobile that seems about setting up Eisy Wifi credentials. 1) no mention of Polisy 2) does mention barcode on Eisy, my PolisyPro has no barcode Ticket opened. -
PG3x - migration question - Wifi configuration
whywork replied to whywork's topic in Polyglot v3 (PG3x)
Hi, Thanks for the reply. It seems I was not clear about what I meant by configuring wifi. (not just DHCP) To get Polisy to connect to my wifi somewhere the SSID and password need to be entered/configured. The only place to enter SSID and password on my Polisy Pro is under PG2/System/Configure Polisy then things like timezone, Ethernet and Wifi settings are exposed. The java Admin console offers nothing about wifi. PG3 has no "settings" for Polisy and thus no ethernet nor wifi settings available. So - If I migrate to PG3x (killing PG2 and PG3) and need to change my PolisyPro wifi settings (SSID) does PG3x expose wifi settings? Where?
