  1. I'm looking to set up an outside camera to monitor my driveway. Would prefer to do it wirelessly and battery operated if possible and integrate with my Insteon setup. But I probably could do it via hard wire if I had to. Any recommendations?? All comments appreciated!
  2. That appears to have worked! I believe my problem was NOT checking off the box in the Java Cache clearing to include applications. I don't believe that was checked in the sample that I saw somewhere originally. AND the module that wasn't showing properly before (the original problem) is correctly shown. I'll play with this some more and hopefully it will all be running correctly! Thanks to everyone who tossed in their ideas!!
  3. I use whatever was installed on my desktop when I set up 994i. This is the path that was in the properties box of the shortcut I run. C:\Windows\SysWOW64\javaws.exe -localfile -J-Djnlp.application.href=http://isy.universal-devices.com/99i/4.0.5/admin.jnlp "C:\Users\JGD\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0\39\448168a7-57d6f9c9" I have used the other various ways to log in illustrated in step 6 of the various Beta instructions and get to a different type of admin console. I use the 192.168.105.81 that I see on the file I attached. I am able to run my devices and programs etc from those log ins but if I click on Admin Console it goes to a new window showing a Universal Devices Logo on a white page saying to Please Keep This Window Open! and immediately throws an Error box User Account Control warning me that it's an unknown program. Then nothing happens. I CAN hit the back button and get back to the page that let's me control my devices. (I hope I'm making some sense here!)
  4. Not sure if I'll get all the questions answered but here goes. Each time I have installed an upgrade I do clear the Java Cache. The "original" issue of seeing the "unsupported device" is not a big problem. Fine to ignore until I figure out why I'm not getting my UI updated, but the firmware is. I've tried all of the various URLs for the Admin console. I've included a screen shot of the About settings. Maybe that will mean something to someone. Thanks.
  5. I still seem to be in trouble here. I never was able to get the UI upgraded from 4.0.11. Always getting an error message when I went into the Admin console that Windows security was blocking the install. Today I did a manual install of 4.1.2 and the Firmware installed but I'm still stuck with the UI of 4.0.11. I have to be screwing something up!
  6. I must be missing something here. How do I upgrade my UI? I found the beta for 4.1.1 which was the firmware, but is the UI somewhere else? Sorry if this seems dumb but........
  7. I upgraded my firmware to 4.1.1. UI shows as 4.0.11 I still can't install the On-Off module without the "unsupported Device 2.55" showing up.
  8. I tried to install an On/off Module 2635-222 and auto discover called it an unsupported Device:2.55. Any idea what this means? I REALLY wish the Device Type was in alpha or model # order. Would make it a lot easier to search.
  9. THANKS! That looks like it might be easier than I thought. I'll play with it as soon as this storm gets out of Maine!
  10. I think if I can catch the vehicle from the front I'm hoping for a heat signature that will give enough of a difference to make an alert. I just had a lot of trouble getting the detector to react at different light levels on some simple arrangements in a closet. Tried all sorts of things and kept getting weird reactions. The fact that there are several different entries for each motion detector rattles my feeble mind! As I think I indicated before, I'm fairly new to ISY and still trying to figure out some of the programing. What I would love is some more programing detail on the actual concept that I'm trying to do. I've seen old posts saying I'd need several different programs and variables and things I really don't understand. If Motion 1 is switched on, Then motion 2 switched on, send signal to alert.......is what I think I 'm looking for but just can't seem to get it down right with delays etc. I'll keep playing. I'm surprised someone hasn't written one that's simple.
  11. I have a very long driveway that I can't see and don't know when anyone is arriving. I would like to set up 2 motion sensors so that I can be alerted with an I/O Linc chime when someone comes up the driveway, but not down. I'm not having a lot of luck setting it up. I haven't done much in ISY other than set up simple scenes and very simple programs. The motion detectors are driving me a little nuts. I figure that the best way is to have the second sensor send a signal to the chime but only after the first sensor has been triggered and not the other way around. And have some short time period that this has to happen in (15 seconds or so) to eliminate false alarms. Hopefully this is clear, as I said, I'm not sure what I'm doing!!! Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.
