I would appreciate it if you didn't contact nest about this again. It skirts the line of the EULA and one person could trigger a multitude of homes not able to use this plugin. If you have problems, ask here please. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

I have tried time to temp so many times it is just not worth it. Right now, even my time to temp is broken. I have just kinda given up on it.. It reports in milliseconds from now in epoch time then, I have to subtract time now from ttt (time to target temp) then, turn that into datetime then, for the isy I'd probably stick with minutes. For an extremely inaccurate measure that these thermostats have (especially in Florida with drastic heat and heat index), it is just not worth it. If you want to see my current broken ttt script and work from there, I'll be more than happy to provide it for you.

Ya.. It'll take a while to get anything new written. Plus, the ISY needs to be updated to v5 before I can start writing a plugin for the isy Sent from my Moto X

Ok, were you trying to manually execute that script? That error shouldn't show unless you were trying to. That macro is to read data FROM the ISY automatically. Set a variable on the ISY to "GetWeatherData". Get the number of the variable on the left side of the ISY variable chart. In Eventghost Find "Setup" then "Input ISY Needs Weather Data Variable Here". Input the new GetWeatherData variable NUMBER in the second field. Save and exit EG.. Open EG.. Set the GetWeatherData variable to 1 in the ISY, and watch it get your weather data

I will fix it tomorrow.

REST uses variable numbers. I made the changes to the instructions for future users In all hopes, I'll be developing a module for this when 5.0 is released and this won't need to exist any longer.

Updated for multi-thermostat setup. I can't test this, so please report errors to me.

Yep, working now! Thanks for your help. If you have any suggestions on how I can improve the documentation, I'd love to hear about it. I know it's lacking some things and due for a rewrite, especially with all the features I've introduced. Also, rayzor, if you have any features that you'd like, feel free to ask.

The data will update automatically as things change on the thermostat.

The first post describes everything pretty well. On the ISY variable chart, there is the number of the var, the name of the var, the value of the var, and the last time set. You need to get the number for each one you want to set.. If you are using State variables, make sure "Using State Variables?" is True, if Integer, "False"
-
You have to use the variable NUMBER, not the variable name. In the ISY chart, it says the var number on the far left side.

www.Tinozplace.com/nestv71.zip Nothing has been changed but the plugin code Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk

Oh wow, a little overkill I'm going to have to update that package. It has an older version of the nest plugin that doesn't update reliably.. Once you get it set, let me know if there is anything you need. I'll have the plugin up with new scripts in a bit Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk

New version includes 4 days of weather forecast.

Ok, here is a version that accepts ONLY Integer or ONLY State. Just short of a major rewrite of all my scripts to support each variable being state OR integer, this is the best I could do for now. I think Xatheros' suggestion makes more sense. If you think of a better way to do this, let me know. At the moment, I really want to see what is going on with the latest version of the Nest Plugin, it seems to have some problems with updating. If you are using the one from 5-17, you should roll back. www.tinozplace.com/Nestv70.zip

I made the plugin look at Integer Variables.. Now, I need to think about how to rewrite the macros so they don't mess up other systems that choose not to use this.
-
I'll take a look at the ISY Event plugin code. I don't remember if anything came from the ISY when a Integer variable changes. I have to finish a project that I've been slacking on for 6 months, then I'll look at it.

What are you speaking of? The nest or the cacti graphing? Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

I did something like this for my nest. www.tinozplace.com/nestchart.png Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk

I can't really develop anything until I get an answer to the email. The Python shell is in the Help menu of event ghost then find eg then plugins then nest then search around for devices. When you find it, take a screen shot Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

If you can find out if it can post to XML, that would be good Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk

Is there a certain format for this data? XML, JSON?
