Yeah, i posted there also, but there isn't much activity there anymore. The manual doesn't say much about the different modes and what they do. I did find this: that helps explain a little. It's at home and I am at work AtM, but pretty sure the mode is Auto and the fan is Auto. The Mobilinc app has mode options for Auto, Program Auto, Program Heat, Program Cool, Heat and Cool and Off. I don't think the ISY has this many options. I'll have to check and confirm tonight.

I haven't tried at this point to program from the ISY yet. Just using the internal Wake->Leave->Return->Sleep events. It seems to be ignoring them. Almost like the Hold is active, but it isn't indicating that on the display. If I set the heat above ambient, it is heating to that setting (and showing Heating on the display) like it should and then holds that temp.

Just picked up a 2441TH thermostat to play around with. Yeah, i know, it has issues but I have one in my garage controlling and it has been rock solid for years. Trying to understand the various modes. Looks like there is Heat, Cool, Auto, Program Auto, Program Heat, Program Cool, Off. Mostly, what is the difference between Auto, Program Auto, Program Heat and Program Cool? Also, the Hold doesn't seem to work. I push it, but the Hold indicator never comes on. Maybe it just works in certain modes? It seems to so far be ignoring my local programed heat-cool events, but maybe I'm not even in the correct mode. I put it in auto and the set time passes with no changes to the temperature events.

Be aware that the upgrade is not seamless based on the hundreds of posts on here. Just plan the time accordingly. Looks like it depends on the complexity of your install

Yeah, me too. Pretty much the exact same issue. I replaced the PLM and things seemed to be ok, but over the last month or so programs have been steadily getting worse. Programs that used to run great, started getting more and more latency. Motion sensors that used to fire the lights instantly now take a minute or two and then never turn the light off. Checking the event log shows most all devices having 3 of 3 or worst 2 of 3 hops left. Bought a couple of noise filters and installed them in various spots and no better. Next I guess I will try swapping the SD card. The one in there is the original that’s about 10 years old so maybe.

Michel worked on the Java server certs and all is better now.

Yet another one of these. Just doing a search seems to be many of these problems. I can open the iox launcher and it finds my ISY994, but I used to right click and the option to open the admin console will appear. Now nothing. Running 4.9.0 firmware. what I have done: Update Java to latest version. No success cleared java cache: no success deleted all the .state files from the local user account. no success restarted (several times) the ISY994: no success Verified that I could connect to the 994 via a web browser pointed at the IP. Could open the admin console but I hate this interface. Loaded Java on a spare laptop and ran the start.jnlp to open the IOX Finder. It again found the 994 on a search, but same behavior. Manually added an ip to the IOX finder (on both machines) and same results. Running out of ideas here. It worked fine as of about 3 or 4 days ago. No new updates to the computer, although with Windows who can tell for sure. Based on the issue is happening from two computers, it would seem the problem is with the 994. The last time I was in the 994, I did a system backup and it completed successfully. Could it have corrupted something somehow? Everything else, all the programs and scenes etc are operating normally. No error light on the 994. Seems to reboot quickly without issue.

Mobilinc works ok for me via VPN, but device states are not always correct. A device will show off when in fact it is on. A forced refresh fixes it. Need to look at UD mobile but that takes minimum 5.0? I’m on 4.9. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The 5010v has 4 independent relay outputs only, no inputs. The 5010d has two digital inputs and two analog inputs and 4 outputs.

Depending on how it goes in negotiations with Smarthome this could be the best thing that could happen to the Insteon community if UDI gains control of the IP. Based on UDI’s track record it could breathe new life into the dying Insteon brand. Here’s hoping. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Agreed. Just didn't know if the original problem was endemic to the design or the cheap components. If design the problem may reoccur but just later. I repaired mine 3 years ago and it's going strong. Original lasted 3 years I think. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've got analog sensors wired into an EZIO 2x4 module that auto on-off the fan. Works rock solid for two years running. The relay wall switch for the fan can override for 15 (normal) or 30 (fast on) minute intervals. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I know this is controversial, but I think an unattended garage door can be made to close safely. I use a combination of motion sensors, signage, flashing the garage lights and and an Elk 124 voice module to issue warnings of the impending door close along with the standard door threshold optic sensors and careful adjustment of the opener close force. It also sends me a text message to my phone and I can then use Mobilinc to view the camera to verify the everything is clear. Once a month I verify that everything is working properly. Just like technology will eventually allow us to have driverless cars, a faceted approach to home automation can allow safe operation of entrance systems. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think what Brian was saying is that the EZIO device uses the power supply board that is the same as the one that often fails after two years in the 2413 PLM. When it does this in the 2413, the link table in the 2413 is corrupted. When it happens in the EZIO device, it may stop sending status updates to the ISY.
