  1. The error is this: oo?
  2. Do you know what mode to use? Seems like it would use the same code I use from iRule.
  3. No luck
  4. Here are 2 versions of sending IR Code and another to what I call sending Raw code. For Raw Code I tried with and without commas, with and without \r\l and to all the difference modes...
  5. I cannot get the screen capture of my resource posted here. Looks like I need to load it in "My Media"? I cannot find where to load files to My Media
  6. I get a response like this: oo? Thanks
  7. I have 2 Samsung TVs (different models but the Remote Control Power Toggle works on both TVs, so same IR code). One use iTach IR and the other uses iTach Serial. The iTach IR TV successfully powers on/off using ISY. Now I am trying to get ISY to Power on/off the Serial controlled TV. Here is how I have the Network Resources setup for the Serial: Protocol: TCP Port: 4999 IP Address: 192.168.0.4 (for the iTach Serial connected to this TV) Time out (MS): 500 Mode: C-Escape Body for the Code: sendir,1:2,1,38000,3,1,170,168,22,62,22,62,22,62,22,19,22,19,22,19,22,19,22,19,22,62,22,62,22,62,22,19,22,19,22,19,22,19,22,19,22,19,22,62,22,19,22,19,22,19,22,19,22,19,22,19,22,62,22,19,22,62,22,62,22,62,22,62,22,62,22,62,22,3800\r\n This is the same code that works for controlling the iTach IR TV... When I test sending this code, based on the above setup, to the serial TV I get a response that looks something like this: oo? oo? I am currently controlling the Serial TV with iRule and it uses Network Codes. Here is the Power Toggle iRule sends to this TV: \x08\x22\x00\x00\x00\x00\xD6\x0D I guess there is no way for ISY to send this type of code? Thanks for all the help, Doug
  8. Jon, I could not get sending the IR directly to the RS232/Serial to work. I have 2 Samsung TVs (different models but the Remote power toggle will works on both). 1 TV is controlled by iTach IPtoIR and another is controlled by iTach IPtoSerial. Currently using iRule which sends Hex codes to the Serial controlled TV. I tried sending IR codes to Serial (via ISY) but did not work. I don't understand why you would not use the Raw Code mode for Serial. Do you know what Raw mode is for? Thanks for all your help
  9. Ahhh - did not know you could do that... Makes sense... Thanks again...
  10. Thanks Jon, Will try this later tonight... My TV is connected via Serial and not IR. Will this work for a Serial connection which I believe needs to go to Port 4999 on the GC100-6?
  11. Thank you for this jerlands, I am not real polished at understanding how to use the codes. I've tried several attempts/combinations and cannot get to work. The Raw Code for power toggle is: 08 22 00 00 00 00 D6.... I guess I cannot just put this in and use "Raw Text" Mode. If it is not too much trouble can you convert this code to what I need to use? Thanks again
  12. I downloaded the codes here from the Tivo Wiki and I assumed it was direct network codes since it was written for that application. But what confused me is that the codes have IR in it.... Example for the number 6 it is: IRCODE NUM6\r Can you point me to where the proper codes are published? thanks, Doug
  13. Thanks Michael, that is what I started with and is for IR setup. So the IR and Serial setup are the same?
  14. Has anyone successfully gotten iTach serial to work? - Is it TCP Protocol? - Use C-Escaped mode? - What is the port? 4999 or 5000? - my raw code for Samsung Power toggle looks like this: \x08\x22\x00\x00\x00\x00\xD6\x0D Do I need to append anything to this? Thank you for any help....
  15. accd, are you using the Tivo IR commands on Romio? I can get the codes to work on the prior version of the Tivo box but not the Romio. I am using the same Network setup in isy for both Tivo units, except using the specific IP address for each Tivo. Thanks
  16. Thank you LeeG!!! That got the Key to light up. This KPL locked-up on me the other day and had to toggle the circuit breaker to get it working again... That must have messed up the settings.
  17. Thanks for looking at this - attached is the output of this Scene Test ISY-Events-Log.v4.0.5__Sat 2013.12.07 02.09.49 PM.txt
  18. From ISY, if I turn my Scene on, it only turns on the lamplinc and not Key C. Should Key C (the controller is this scene) light up when a program turns on the Scene? Thanks
  19. Thanks for the quick response. Yes, I created an ISY Scene which has button C as the controller and Lamplinc as the responder. Are you saying not to link the KPL directly to the LampLinc using a Scene but setup a program that turns on the device when a key is pressed on the KPL? I can't see how to make Button C led to come on when my sunset program schedule turns on the LampLinc. Thanks and bare with me as I get tied into the logic...
  20. I am fairly new to ISY. I have been searching how to get a specific KPL Led to turn off or on without manually pressing it. Here is my setup: - Toggle mode on KPL for which the key C turns a lamplinc on/off - Also have a program that turns the same lamplinc on/off following sunrise/sunset schedule I want my KPL Key C LED to be inSync with the on/off status of the LampLinc. I am able to do this with a garage door sensor connected to an I/O linc.... I am guessing the LampLinc does not have a relay function like the I/O Linc and thus the LED does not report the status of the LampLinc? From reading this thread it appears you cannot individually configure the keys and I guess it is not possible accomplish this with a program? Thanks, Doug
  21. I am new to using ISY to send IR commands through the iTach. After playing with this, I finally got my Samsung TV to power on / power off. Here is what I did differently based on the instructions in this thread... - In iLearn set repeat to 3. - Append \r\n do not include any commas.. After this, it works 100% of the time
