  1. Yes please explain I can't find anything that references the connected home WRT Simple Control. I assume you are using network resources or the rest interface? Jeff
  2. To add some more. Once you log in with your account go to mobilinc and do a restore purchases. Then log out and put her credentials in. I do this with several apps with in app purchasing. Jeff
  3. Yes you do have to switch over but it is pretty slick. Still have to use as a skill, but doable.
  4. http://www.engadget.com/2016/03/03/amazon-debuts-two-smaller-and-cheaper-echos/
  5. You can still port forward and direct connect as well. Jeff
  6. If you use ISY portal for echo but still direct connect with port forwarding geofencing still works. At least it does for me. Jeff
  7. The simple control skill is pretty slick. You can ask SC to set the room to "family room" then all commands after that apply to the set room. Not too bad. I only have 1 echo but that might be an option. Plus you get the benefit of the simple control iPhone remotes which are pretty good IMHO.
  8. You shouldn't have to buy the app for everyone. At least if you are all in the apple ecosystem.
  9. Guys thanks for the suggestions. I was thinking along those lines but was wondering if there was a more elegant method.
  10. Is it possible to limit echo to only an on or off for a given device or scene. For example I want to be able to only turn on a given light via echo but not turn off? Jeff
  11. I just saw mobilinc is a skill. I would assume ISY as a coho would be better. Jeff
  12. The fanlinc needs to be wired for power all the time, ie never switched. The KPL will be at via scenes or programs to control the fanlinc.
  13. One other thing I do is add fast on to directly turn the fan of from any level. Add as a second or condition to the off program.
  14. I have 4 programs for each fan I do this with. If fan off and KPL a control on then set fan hi If fan hi and KPL a control on then set fan med . .
  15. I thought the relay node will indicate status equal to what it was when added. Bam2
  16. That I can't answer. I set a hidden for sensor to update on levels for a light in a scene it controls based on the time of day. Occasionally it doesn't take right away because I have to reopen the door abd close to turn the scene in with new values. Abd the controlled light is in the dog room and I'm not in there. Jeff
  17. Thanks for that tip! It is indeed CLITEMP for this one as well. Jeff
  18. Thanks guys. I'll try that. Any idea on the parameter I might use to get temp from the ZWave MS?
  19. This issue has always been present. I am just now seeing if I can fix it. When I get a notification via isy every one comes from a different but sequential number. I send my messages through Gmail's smtp server. They are routed through mynumber@att.net (forget the exact address but it is the default for AT&T test message via email). Is there a way to make the come from the same number so they group as a conversation? I am also looking for the correct parameter to get the temperature from a ZWave mti sensor? ST does not work. I can get the valid name and address but not formatted parameter value. Thanks Jeff
  20. I'm not in front of my computer but is it possible to add 2 time criteria to an if statement? If from 430 to sunrise (next day) And From sunset-2 hr to sunrise (next day) Then .... Else That would evaluate at both 430 and ss-2 hr, and sunrise correct? And would only be true when inside both time conditions? Of course if you can't enter 2 time conditions then ignore all of my silliness. Jeff
  21. If you have mobilinc you could set a geo-fence around your home and only allow the open command to function when your phone is inside the zone. A clunky version of two-factor authentication.
  22. There are many DCs that run on a 110/15 amp circuit. The biggest I've found is 1.75hp. My tablesaw is 1.75 hp and runs on a 15a circuit. I would think the outdoor middle would work.
