Just to be sure, you don't set the Dim level of a dimmer to set back light brightness. You set the backlight on/off levels.

Uh. No. If the sleep a constant 8 hours then they would go to bed 8 hours prior to the alarm. That would coincide with the good night button press. The point is the wage up time isn't regular. But as I stated "assuming the sleep time is constant" accounts for that. Also, correcting to a new set point close to an exact time based on a constant sleep duration is surely better than nothing at all. Obviously I realize that must folks don't get a constant sleep duration but it is viable if they do.

Could you count a certain amount of time from when you initiate the Goodnight program? Assuming you sleep a relatively constant amount that might be close enough. Jeff

If the status change of 'not off' happens while the folder is disabled the program won't fire. Then it needs another trigger (change in status) to reevaluate the program.

Simple control is an IOS app that interfaces with GC devices and acts as remote. Has an alexa skill to integrate with that. Integrates pretty well with ISY. Can also view cameras in it. Not perfect but pretty good be getting better.

Simple controls integration is pretty good. Excellent with global cache devices and getting better with alexa.

In each scene select each controller and copy attributes from scene. You have set the levels when the PLM commands the scenes but not the buttons.

I use the flex line as they are very small and powered by USB adaptors. I think the functionality is identical just a different form factor. Each itach flex can control or output to 3 ir devices, with one optionally a blaster. Jeff

I use Gmail servers to send the text message to my phone via an email to text. Some number of steps just replace the UDI email server with Gmail. Jeff

I had issues using the udi server as each text would show as from a different number in iMessage. I switched to using Gmail to serve and I get a consistent send number/account. And it's me. Although now that I think about it that won't solve your phone number issue.

My fanlincs have bad hum. I assumed it was how they control speed on fans that aren't designed for external control.

When I added my ISY to simple it was very easy. Select from discovered list. Add username and password. Load manifest. Add owns to activities as desired.

To add some more. Once you log in with your account go to mobilinc and do a restore purchases. Then log out and put her credentials in. I do this with several apps with in app purchasing. Jeff

Yes you do have to switch over but it is pretty slick. Still have to use as a skill, but doable.

If you use ISY portal for echo but still direct connect with port forwarding geofencing still works. At least it does for me. Jeff

The simple control skill is pretty slick. You can ask SC to set the room to "family room" then all commands after that apply to the set room. Not too bad. I only have 1 echo but that might be an option. Plus you get the benefit of the simple control iPhone remotes which are pretty good IMHO.

You shouldn't have to buy the app for everyone. At least if you are all in the apple ecosystem.
