  1. Simple controls integration is pretty good. Excellent with global cache devices and getting better with alexa.
  2. In each scene select each controller and copy attributes from scene. You have set the levels when the PLM commands the scenes but not the buttons.
  3. I'm sorry if I was vague. I use the itachs with a different program as well. I was just describing the differences as I know them. Jeff
  4. I use the flex line as they are very small and powered by USB adaptors. I think the functionality is identical just a different form factor. Each itach flex can control or output to 3 ir devices, with one optionally a blaster. Jeff
  5. I use Gmail servers to send the text message to my phone via an email to text. Some number of steps just replace the UDI email server with Gmail. Jeff
  6. I had issues using the udi server as each text would show as from a different number in iMessage. I switched to using Gmail to serve and I get a consistent send number/account. And it's me. Although now that I think about it that won't solve your phone number issue.
  7. Sloop, PM me your issues and maybe I can help. I set mine up very quickly with limited issues. Jeff
  8. My fanlincs have bad hum. I assumed it was how they control speed on fans that aren't designed for external control.
  9. When I added my ISY to simple it was very easy. Select from discovered list. Add username and password. Load manifest. Add owns to activities as desired.
  10. Very nice. I like it. Thanks for the info. Jeff
  11. Yes please explain I can't find anything that references the connected home WRT Simple Control. I assume you are using network resources or the rest interface? Jeff
  12. To add some more. Once you log in with your account go to mobilinc and do a restore purchases. Then log out and put her credentials in. I do this with several apps with in app purchasing. Jeff
  13. Yes you do have to switch over but it is pretty slick. Still have to use as a skill, but doable.
  14. http://www.engadget.com/2016/03/03/amazon-debuts-two-smaller-and-cheaper-echos/
  15. You can still port forward and direct connect as well. Jeff
  16. If you use ISY portal for echo but still direct connect with port forwarding geofencing still works. At least it does for me. Jeff
  17. The simple control skill is pretty slick. You can ask SC to set the room to "family room" then all commands after that apply to the set room. Not too bad. I only have 1 echo but that might be an option. Plus you get the benefit of the simple control iPhone remotes which are pretty good IMHO.
  18. You shouldn't have to buy the app for everyone. At least if you are all in the apple ecosystem.
  19. Guys thanks for the suggestions. I was thinking along those lines but was wondering if there was a more elegant method.
  20. Is it possible to limit echo to only an on or off for a given device or scene. For example I want to be able to only turn on a given light via echo but not turn off? Jeff
  21. I just saw mobilinc is a skill. I would assume ISY as a coho would be better. Jeff
  22. The fanlinc needs to be wired for power all the time, ie never switched. The KPL will be at via scenes or programs to control the fanlinc.
  23. One other thing I do is add fast on to directly turn the fan of from any level. Add as a second or condition to the off program.
  24. I have 4 programs for each fan I do this with. If fan off and KPL a control on then set fan hi If fan hi and KPL a control on then set fan med . .
