  1. I have two insteon thermostats running each of my two HVAC units. A few months ago, randomly one switch to off in the middle of the night. Didn't think much of it. Over the past months, its gotten worse. Both(mostly one but sometimes the other) will switch the heat/air to off almost every day now. Random times: at night, during the day, etc. I tried writing programs in the ISY to turn it back on if temps drop/raise but it doesnt fix it. Its as though the thermostats have their own agenda to shut the units off. Thoughts?
  2. Side note, before the error, I tried contacting support but they didn't understand when I said I can't see or communicate with the ISY.
  3. Hi. I posted a couple weeks ago about my ISY. Ive ignored it for awhile and now need to access it. Unfortunately, I think I botched the update. I cannot see the ISY in the ioX finder. The error light is blinking slowly. Tried the soft reset(5second). How can I see what is going on with it and what errors I have if I can't communicate with it? It was working fine prior to me updating it. Yes, I have a recent backup copy. Suggestions? Frustrated...
  4. Been using UD/Insteon since about 2014. Had great work. Then life gets complicated and I haven't paid much attention since I have cameras on a separate system. Everything is in the house and working but I cannot access my ISY remotely(the actual Mobilinc app is gone I guess?). What are my options to handle the 994i remotely? Whats the easiest way to get this back running asap? Very technical so don't spare me. I just don't have the time to figure this out like I wish and I know you guys have a quick answer. Also the SMTP email isnt sending no matter what email server I use. TIA- Brian
  5. So forgive me for not understanding, but I don't understand why you want the wireless thermostat with a probe in your hottub if it can't really relay a temp to the ISY.
  6. Sorry to bring this to life again, but I was sent this thread by another user who thought it would help. I have a two zone HVAC with one wired thermostat upstairs and one wired thermostat downstairs. My infant daughter has a room on the further side of the house away from both thermostats upstairs. Its also further from the HVAC itself so the temp isn't the same as the other two thermostats. I have a wireless thermostat in her bedroom but like we know, it doesn't report back the room temp the way it is. I would it to report back the temperature in the room so that I can write a script in the ISY994i to raise or lower the other thermostats according. Is what I'm asking possible by wiring in an external prob to the internal sensor or should I try what someone above said and increase the length of the internal sensor? Thank you, Brian
