There is another workaround: when the finder window opens and you can't seethe contents of a folder, switch the view from the current view to any other view (from list to 3 column) you will see the contents. If you open another folder and don't see the contents again, switch the view again. Repeat until you get to the final folder. I have to do this every so often. But it works Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Try http://isy.universal-devices.com/994i/4.2.10/admin.jnlp Or http://isy.universal-devices.com/994i/4.2.10/admin16.jnlp for mac Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

They are just halogens that worked great with x10 (although 3 modules for 3 lamps). There would be no local control on the lamp itself or even access to the lamplinc as it's behind a bookcase. Totally controlled by remote. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Was being cheeky. I finally got mine to be reliable. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Haven't tried this yet so I thought I ask: can one plugin say 2 or 3 lamps into one lamplinc? On x10 you could not because it sensed a lamp turn on locally and multiple would mess up it's ability to sense things. These are dedicated lamps with no local turn on so they'd be on all the time. Any thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Why not go with my solution. Allow the user to use what they want. Allow them to use their own API key and the isy parse the data. Again today. It was 94 and the ham stAtion reported 85. Not useable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That would be awkward. "Honey, you leave the doors open again..." Later.... Why are we in marriage counseling ? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

It's not ham per se. It's the stations updating is unreliable. And it's the only station near me. Using wunderground or pws has many station options near me. It's just not a great resource (ham) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

More expensive but foolproof! Plus I get the added benefit of knowing when the sensors are tripped. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Here's the issue. Not ever dimming the unit is fine. But if one accidentally holds down the button (like my dad does because he can't sense pressure) then we have a dimming scenario. I've already had to intercept all forms of button presses on the mini remote to handle his accidental long presses. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk All good info tho guys. Thank you. eventually I'm going to get rid of the EZIO8 and go DIN once everything else is working and solid (oxymoron using the EZIO). Thanks for the update. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I was hoping not to involve any other computers in the process but for now my Mac is on all the time all I need is current temps. Eventually I'm going to offload this onto a RasPi when I grok that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The reason I asked is that I never ever ever want to send a dim command to the floods. Never ever. Plus don't all dimmer modules have even a small ramp from 0? Not true on off? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm interested eventually. (Nv energy) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Parsing data from other sites shouldn't be an issue. They already know wrarherbug. And I looked at the json and XML output from wubderground is super simple to parse. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Maybe is should use the dimmer one I bought. Wire nut the 2 leads going to the floods. Then install a micro switch in the floods box??? The I can use the kpl to trigger the micro? More expensive :/ but workable? The other thing is was thinking was even if I used the 6 button version, when I locally control it it will send an on or off. The switch now in there, you turn it off then back on to override the sensors. I was going to do all that in the programming and with a virtual button instead of a direct button (button a) then I can get an on off effect. Direct control will be problematic. He extended it with screws (and I guess nuts or some super adhesive. Hen wrapped the air gap with a pretty tape. So wow. Hmm... The box it's going in is a standard dual gang box. One kpl dimmer is in there now. So you think it won't fit next to the existing kpl? :/ Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Can it be converted to 8 and have no issues in terms of operation or programming (will it then work exactly as the 8?) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
