  1. Do wireless devices ever respond to the ISY? I was under the impression that they only send commands when they sense something. Thus the need for the linking buttons, right? I'll have to go back and try this again, it was a couple weeks ago, so maybe my memory isn't right, but I was making changes to a motion sensor scene, which you have to put the thing into linking mode at the beginning of, then I put the controller and responders into the scene and clicked ok. I got the red ! next to all members of the scene, and then about 90 seconds later it said 'writing' next to the nodes in question, then everything was fine. I don't recall that happening with any AC powered devices. I'll have to try again and make sure that's what I saw.
  2. I have noticed that writing to a wireless device, even when it's in linking mode, can take a minute or two. I was messing around with one of my motion sensors, and after I hit the 'ok' button to accept the changes, the red exclamation point stayed there in the device tree for a minute or two before the ISY actually wrote the change to the device. This happened more than once.
  3. I can confirm that I am using gmail for notifications, with 2-factor enabled. You just generate a one-time code for use as a password. It's been working fine here.

I've got mine going through about 15' of cat6 cable, 2 keystone jacks, and a 12" patch cable on each end. Hasn't been a problem.
  5. Ok, not sure what exactly changed, but I gave up last night, came back this evening to try again, and it was working to get past that step. So I kept on going with the meter provisioning. PG&E's website now allow you to put in the info, so I did, and the ISY started scanning. But nothing happened in the PG&E window time, so I called their support line. They told me it's not a supported device, and they had no suggested solutions for me. He actually said that it had previously been a recommended device, but was not any longer due to some change. Seemed fishy to me. Anyway, since then I've upgraded the firmware and cleared the java cache. I changed the Extended PAN ID to 0000, but now I can't get the website to give me another shot at joining. Any suggestions? Thanks. Edit: Nevermind! The extended PAN ID seems to have done the trick. I managed to find the link to try joining again, and I appear to be paired with my meter at this point. Thanks for the help!
  6. Hi, new to the ISY, and hopefully I'm not just doing something dumb, but I start the provisioning steps in the Configuration Guide, but when I get to the part where I'm supposed to see the ISY start scanning for the meter, mine freezes up and goes offline. Possibly / probably related, I get a message when I start up the Dashboard saying [lib_405-error]. That appears to be some kind of network error, and I have had issues getting the dashboard launcher to automatically see my ISY. If I put in the IP address, I can access it. It's plugged directly into the back of an Airport Extreme router. Is this a network thing? Thanks in advance.
