  1. Hi Simpllextech, do you know if this will work with ubuntu? or mac? I was thinking about using it just to upgrade firmware from either.
  2. Curious, are you using zwave devices? I have all zwave and am attempting to change some config parameters with the send_raw_node_commands. However, that command only allows GV0, GV1, etc that can change the color of bulbs (AEOTEC). Are you familiar with the command to change parameters? I am trying to make sure that I am not missing something around being able to change the config parameters versus the color parameters. I have not touched the 2.0beta as of yet...
  3. I have switched from Tasker to HomeAssistant. There is an app for both OSes and the app looks very much like the web page version. Had HA on a RPI but didn't like how it was running so moved it over to my plex server. I haven't been happier with the layout (completely configurable).
  4. Under Install instructions there is a note under step 7: Note: If you have version 5.0.8 or lower installed on your ISY, then use this link to install the admin console and then upgrade with that program: - http://isy.universal-devices.com/994i/5.0.16/admin.jnlp You will need to manually verify scenes, programs and settings.
  5. Currently using Home Assistant to do this.
  6. Is this your post on the repository? https://github.com/shbatm/hacs-isy994/issues/17
  7. I finally got around to adding the HomeAssistant to the RPi that hosts the polyglot. Decided to use binary sensors from the ISY and create automations on the HA. Now when my the sensor changes value, it broadcasts messages to the google home. The only issue is that it does not abide by which speaker (have 5 google home devices) that I set. But it still works. The delay that GH had versus Alexa was less.
  8. I think i may figured it out. I have a "binary_sensors:" line before each "id".... Will try tonight. That was the problem.
  9. New to the HASS world. Decide to install it and try it out. One issues I am having is getting the variables to show up in HASS. The second issue is the polyglot nodeservers not showing up anymore. Only the last variable (of 7) show up as a binary sensor. If I remove the 7th, then only the 6th shows up and so on. Running the add-on from the HACS and 5.0.16B. Thoughts?
  10. Look at tasker. I like that a while lot more. So much, that one day while programming my phone, I got on the wrong BART and ended up in Dublin, CA before I realized. ? (Had headphones on)
  11. Check out Tasker if you are using Android. I use it to set the occupancy to in or out. Tasker IMHO does a better and more reliable handling of geofencing. IFTTT was becoming less stable and now triggering half the time. There is a tutorial on the wiki for both IFTTT and Tasker. IFTTT - https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY_Portal_IFTTT_Integration Tasker - https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-99i_Series_INSTEON:Networking:Tasker
  12. silly question, can you click on that link pool.ntp.org and it work? If not, them maybe a DNS issue?
  13. confirmed the parameter is there. sent you a video demonstrating the sluggish menus.
  14. I believe that I have this set correctly. Will confirm tonight. I will try to record a quick video to show this if the memory allocation doesn't resolve it.
  15. Hi Chris, Does this address the slow reaction to the drop downs for zwave devices in the programs (then and else)?
  16. Ha... there is a programming button. Didn't need to do this on the previous version. I was able to set the parameter after clicking the program button and then query it for the current set parameter. it seems to have accepted the change. Many thanks.
  17. Is anyone having issues with changing parameters on zwave devices with batteries? I have several motion sensors from monoprice. Installed one on 5.0.15 and the other one last night (currently on 5.0.16). In addition, I have many zwave devices that I use the "set configuration" to change led colors. These are wired zwave devices. The first motion sensor: updated the parameter 1 to 1 for F instead of C. The second motion sensor: every time I try to change the parameter, the red exclamation points show up and the ISY says that it can't communicate. Back to the first one: I decided to query the first motion sensor to see if I could get the values for parameter one. This one does display in F and I did change the parameter. It now shows up with the red exclamation points until the device communicates when it wants too. Both devices do reset when they communicate. I have tried to turn off the "put back to sleep" option in the zwave menu. May be related to the new update.
  18. Have you disabled the antivirus? I have Avast and had to whitelist the isy IP address.
  19. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#Admin_Console_is_very_slow_or_hangs Admin Console is very slow or hangs If the admin console is slow to respond, it is likely you need to increase the amount of memory allocated to the Java runtime (JRE). Open the Java Control Panel, select Java tab, press View button, then add or modify the Runtime Parameter -Xmx to the following: -Xmx512m Press Ok to close the window, then Press Apply to save the changes
  20. Don't see why is will not. This seems like it can change a state variable based on location. I have tasker sending a POST https to AutoRemote and update a variable on my phone. Do you have networking resources set up?
  21. I noticed the same thing when setting up certain zwave devices in new programs. Get the beach ball for more than 15-30 seconds. Happening on zwave door locks and rgb aotec bulbs.
  22. Do you have Avast? I see that you have windows, however, I have to disable the web protection for my Mac to get to the ISY. Took a few days to figure this out last time.
  23. Just tried to update and seem to lost everything. Programs are gone, variables are still there. Lost the Zwave. Going to have to put in a ticket. I did backup the ISY beforehand and tried to restore. Did not work. 1. performed a backup of the ISY 2. downloaded the udi_oadr_5.0.16.zip 3. Manually installed the udi_oadr_5.0.16.zip 4. Downloaded the MACOS version of the admin and dashboard 5. Cleared the Java cache 6. installed the MACOS version. 7. Zwave is not responding. Edit - was able to install the udi_oadr_5.0.16.zip and get the programs back. Zwave dongle is not responding. Edit- I have an external zwave and internal SEP card. EDIT: contacted Michel and evidently my ISY requires a unique build. System is up and running again. @Chris Jahn @Michel Kohanim
  24. I feel success now!
  25. Thanks. ?
