yea i tried, still never gets up or gets an ip from the network anymore. ordered an adapter to flash a new image to the ssd so we'll see how that goes. Curious what the OP did.

after running the update packages in the admin console I am having this issue as well. unit never beeps on startup and button unresponsive. ticket started as well.

I just restored the device from isy and that seemed to fix it. whew.

I was swapping out the buttons on my 6button keypad and must have accidently pushed the set button and some other button that messed up my led settings. now when i turn the load off, the off button does not illuminate. how do i get that back? I can turn the off settings to 1 in isy and verify that all the led's do work but it used to be on15 off0 and still the off button would be illuminated like it was in an led on state.

Yea im at like 60 devices and on 88u running diversion and the other toys on merlin. Its probably time to let go of all that. ram always maxed and cpu's get maxed over time, hence the reboots.

It has a reserved ip from the router. It doesn’t always get lost on reboots but it’s more than half the times. I use ASUS with Merlin custom firmware. A few of the Alexa echo devices will require a reboot on occasion as well. I guess I’m just looking to make sure it’s not polisy related before I dig into a router firmware bug.

I have my home router setup to reboot every other day. after a reboot my polisy cannot be found and no longer runs programs. I have to hard reboot the polisy to get it back again. why wont it reconnect to the network when the router comes back online?

This worked, thank you. while I have your attention I have another question regarding setting up the keypadlinc with fanlinc. I noticed that you can assign the on/off of the responders from the root scene menu and also from the controllers menu. which one do you actually need to setup for the status lights to turn on /off properly? I keep having to fiddle with them and eventually set them both up to mirror each other but was'nt sure if I only needed to mess with the controller's options.

Is anyone using alexa to bring on the ceiling fan? I have a voice command for 'turn on ceiling fan' and have that set to bring scene fanMed to on. but when i say turn ceiling fan off it will try to turn off scene fanmed rather then turn on scenefanoff and display the proper led's on/off status on the keypad linc. anyone else have better program/solution they are using?

I was having issues as well with my Plm's and through the course of upgrading to the Polisy (which didnt change my plm comm issues) i unplugged one of my insteon outdoor on/off modules on a whim to swap it for a new zwave one and all my issues went away. I also was not upgraded to the most current ISY when I loaded the save to my polisy and pretty much no issues yet. Let us know how your journey goes

So far upgrading from 5.0.16b isy to polisy 5.4.2 only had a couple programs that were in the yellow. I just deleted those and assume it was because they used a zwave module that had not been added yet. my system is fairly basic with just basic programs written for timers on switches and scenes. I was having bad communication issues since December after a brownout and figured my plm had died as it was about 3 yrs old. I recapped it and still was having bad comm issues. even bought a new USB PLM and swapped the daughterboards and still issues. I decided it might be best to leave insteon behind as I am a Ham radio operator and all these noisy devices wreak havok on my HF equipment but figured I would give the Polisy a try as i would just upgrade over time to all zwave devices. Got the polisy running fine but still having comm issues with 3 different plm's that i now own. Daughters bedroom has insteon indoor/outdoor module that was being used to control a box fan in her bedroom and I decided that since this is used most often in my programs i would swap that out to a zwave module first. After I unplugged that module all my comm issues went away! Wish i knew how to have diagnosed that thing to be having issues from the beginning, not sure if anything in the logs would have been pointing to that device or not. Carry On!

I guess my question was mostly will something be broken from not using a backup from latest ISY. the instructions clearly say to upgrade isy to latest version which I am not doing. I took the leap regardless, thanks.

I have isy with older zwave300 module in it. I have not updated it fully because of this. I wanted to test my new polisy using the backup from this ISY i have currently. will it work?

I was having the same error as MMB when using this file. Support made sure i was downloading the file provided in the article and was able to update without issue. I just received my polisy and stick yesterday.t This was the file I had to use. it's the 7.17.1, once updated to this version I still cannot update to the one provided in your link without error. Those that have recapped older plm's how long are they lasting after this? Has anyone recapped more than once?

I am wanting to monitor PC energy usage and looking for reliable zwave plug in switches. I tried some from Amazon and they flicker with any zwave traffic and it’s enough to cause a reboot on all 3 at the same time! Hoping to get some recommendations from the community before I go through the trial and error on my own. These are the ones that I have issues with. I tried to insert the program to only set scene on and off. It would light up the keypad link buttons but didnt turn on the load at dimmer. I had to add the second line to turn on the dimmer as well. Is that normal?

One more question on my 3 way light using the keypad button. I have a timer program for morning time. I tried setting to bring on dimmer and also adjust the scene and bring on dimmer. Neither approach will bring the keypad light on when the dimmer is activated using a program. Only when I actually press the switches do they act linked in the scene. Is there any way to achieve? I was setting that key as toggle off only. so it would only allow off commands. so now i see how I could never get the light to key up in this setup.

Thank you! I was confused into thinking one has to be a responder. Made both controllers and works as intended. I guess while im on a roll. I have 1 kpl button that controls scene for all basement lights off. I would like the button to light up if any or all of the lights in the scene are in the On state. That way i know from a glance if any of the basement lights are on. Is this possible?
