Michel, wow thanks for the quick responce.. No I do not use gmail. I use the hosting company 1and1.com and have email hosted with them. The SMTP server i use is smtp.1and1.com. I pressed the syncronize now button and did not recieve any errors.... thanks

anyone else having notification problems? Mine had been working great until i moved to .14. I only have 1 program using notifications. It emails me when my garage has been left open. I noticed yesterday I didnt get an email when i forgot to close the garage.. So today i went in and tried to just do a test notification and the first time i got request failed. I then tried the test again and i did not get an error. but i also did not get an email....

no not yet, was holding off on getting one. wanted to make sure it would work with my setup.

Can the ISY make full use of the triggerlinc? Meaning can i write programs in ISY to trigger various insteon commands when a door or window is identified as open from a triggerlinc? Thanks

Thanks for the reply Sub-Routine. There's no reason i can't use the 1k resistor. I was just being lazy and looking for an easy way out. Now does doing nothing cause any issues? Is it possible to leave those 3 & 4 relays bouncing between on and off or does this cause interferece or excess traffic etc?? Thanks

Hello all, Ive got an EZIO2x4 that is controlling 2 garage doors. The setup works perfectly. However as ive seen somewhere on this forum, the relays 3 and 4 are not being used and fluctuate from off to on randomly. Can i just go into the ISY99 and right click on relay 3 & 4 and choose remove? will this cause any problems with the rest of the EZIO functions? Thanks, Gregg

Ulrich, I do want to have daily programs like on 68 on mon-friday fom 8-4 and on at 72 all day saturday's. etc etc. But from what i understand I can still get the 1 day programmable and just use the ISY to do all the programming and not use the thermostats built in programming? is that correct. ? thanks for all the feedback guys, im starting to feel more comfortable making this purchase

Ive seen some older posts about the venstar thermostat, but nothing really recent. I would like to have automated control over my HVAC and since i use insteon have been looking into the venstar. Dos this thing work reliably and does ISY have good control over it? My house has 2 units one upstairs and one down, so i would need to purchase 2 of the venstars thats about 400 bucks. i don't really wanna shell out that much cash if i can't get reliable control. Does anyone know if SH is coming out with any newer/better thermostats anytime soon? or is the venstar the only option... Thanks Gregg

Ive noticed that the log files no longer contain error codes, was this removed?

running a query on the EZIO relay does make the inputs update correctly. SO i made the following program: If From 12:26:00AM For 24 hours Then Repeat Every 5 minutes Set Scene 'Garage contact status' Query Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') The scene "garage contact status" contains the EZIO relay 1 as a responder. However the programdoesnt ever seemto actually query the relay because the status never updates. The program constantly says "running then'. have i written the program incorrectly? If i run the query manually it updates.. any ideas? edit: running event viewer lvl2. during the program execution i see the following: 2008/12/07 18:59:58 : [ 1 76 90 1] ST 0 2008/12/07 19:00:02 : [ 1 76 90 1] ST 0 2008/12/07 19:00:07 : [ 1 76 90 1] ST 0 (i edit the program to poll every 5 seconds just so i could see the data) If i run a manual query on the scene i get: 2008/12/07 19:00:33 : [ 1 76 90 1] ST 0 2008/12/07 19:00:33 : [iNST-ACK ] 02 62 01.76.90 0F 49 00 06 (00) 2008/12/07 19:00:33 : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 01.76.90 0F.43.FC 2B 49 08 (08) Now, i dont really know how to read this data. but it appears to me the ezio device does not respond when the program runs the query, but does respond during a manual query. ??? im lost as to what to do?

I also just noticed that since the upgrade, I no longer see any new activities show up in the log files.....Ive even cleared my log and turned off/on a few lights and still see nothing in the log

well i upgraded with no problem. But when i choose Help > purchase module. MikeB and others, I need some help from this great community. I have followed Mike B's instructions on setting up the EZIO4x2 and a KPL with ISY to operate my garage. I have the relay 1 working great. If i send a momentary on my garage open/Closes. However, I am also using the recommended Garage Contact Normally Opened or Closed and when my garage is open the status does not read ON. now the odd part. If I hit query on Input 1 nothing changes. IF i choose query on "my ligting" the status for input 1 will change to the correct status. If tested this multiple times for each on or off status. It will always read correctly if I query my lighting, but that is the only way i can get it read the correct status. Does anyone have an idea why ISY can not read the input 1 status correctly without the my lighting query??. p.s I do have 2 garage doors and have the same problem with both input 1 and 2. Inputs 3 and 4 are not used but show a status of ON (which never changes). I also have no other communiction problems with my other insteon devices. I often leave my garage door open by accident and could really benefit from a program that will alert me or shut it automatically. But i can't get it working until i can get this status to read correctly. Thanks everyone

Hello, I just recevied my ISY99 /pro and have started setting up various programs. I can't figure out what the difference is between the "status" and "control" conditions. Can someone please explain... Thanks Gregg

Would it be possible to program the ISY to close the garage door each time a door was opened. If i have an EZIO and a triggerlic. Or would there be a better solution than using a triggerlinc?
