  1. Thanks everyone for the replies! I left the console alone for a bit, and then I noticed that there was a popup saying that it had to reboot. After that, the DHCP settings were active, and the static IP was gone. Not sure what I did differently, but now fixed! Cheers!
  2. Well, life is a bit better. The ISY is now accessible from my computers on our usual network and seems to be working normally. However it is stuck with a static IP address. When I clear the network settings and click DHCP and reboot, the ISY will reboot but keeps the static IP. Not sure how to make it accept the DHCP settings.
  3. Progress! I inputted a new static IP in the proper 192.1.X.X block with the DNS and gateway set to my router, and those settings stuck! Now to see if it will accept a change to DHCP.
  4. Thanks for all the replies, everyone. The problem is, my ISY doesn't want to let me change the network settings! I check the DHCP box, let it reboot, and there it is with the same static IP as before! I've tried clearing all the network settings (IP, subnet, gateway, DNS) and then clicked DHCP. Again, on reboot the old network settings are still there. Am I somehow accessing the ISY incorrectly? How do I get the new IP settings to stick? Cheers!
  5. Thanks. No problem finding the IP address (it's a static IP). The difficulty is getting the ISY to reboot and maintain the revised IP settings. Cheers!
  6. Spoke too soon. The ISY doesn't want to let go of its previous static IP. I have tried changing the network settings, but the unit does not seem to complete the reboot cycle. When I unplug/replug the reboot completes, but with the old IP settings. None of the changes seem to stick. Any ideas? Cheers!
  7. Ok, I switched my laptop over to a static IP in the 10.0.x.x block and the ISY showed up nicely. Now I have it set to grab a non-static address. Is there any reason that the ISY would need a static address? Cheers!
  8. Ok, I may have found a clue. According to my router, it would seem that the ISY has a static IP that is in the 10.0.x.x block, and my router DHCP is assigning addresses in the 192.x.x.x block. The ISY is the only device connected with an IP address in the 10.0.x.x block. Will try to troubleshoot from there. Cheers!
  9. Thanks. Didn't work. The Admin Console runs, but the title bar says "ISY Finder : Not Found". It doesn't seem to be trying to look for the ISY? Cheers!
  10. Hi gang, I haven't logged into my console in over 6 months. I used the ISY Launcher today, and it doesn't see my ISY. I rebooted the unit and the lights look correct, and there is network activity. The ISY is controlling the lights as well. Not sure what I've done wrong. Mac OS 10.15.7 Is there a basic troubleshooting guide? Thanks!
  11. Hi! Thanks for the responses. I was able to bring my system back to life. Ended up that there must have been a power surge that zapped a lot of my Insteon stuff. My process was: 1). Replace PLM and ethernet cable 2). Restore PLM 3). Restore Devices 4). Restore PLM again 5). Air gapped and factory reset one device. This seemed to kick off a successful cascade of "Write Update to Device" I did have to physically replace one 8 button pad as even after reseting it multiple times I couldn't get it back as part of the system. Thanks for all who offered their help! Cheers!
  12. Thanks Teken for your attention!
  13. For all devices I get a communication error. Example below Cheers!
  14. Well, now I'm really stumped. I got a new PLM. Replaced the ethernet cable as well. Plugged it in to wall so that it turned on. Rebooted the ISY. Once the ISY was fully booted up and done clearing all the errors I ran the Restore PLM function, which seemed to complete. However, I'm still seeing only red exclamation marks for all devices. The PLM table seems complete (I think). There are over 800 entries. What should I do next? Cheers!
  15. Hehe. Thanks Teken. I'm a bit intimidated by your wording! Is there a downside to reseting the PLM? I'm guessing that there is ... Cheers!
  16. Is it possible to reset/reprogram the PLM? Cheers!
  17. Hi Brian! Thanks for responding. My PLM is likely more than two years old. According to the back, it is model 24135, although I suppose the 5 could be an S. Revision 2.3. The LED looks normal to me. It does show up properly when I run the suggested diagnostic. Cheers!
  18. Hi everyone, I noticed that my ISY programs were no longer running. When I log into the ISY, all of my lights have a red exclamation mark beside their name. I've done trouble shooting for individual lights and panels in the past, but where do I start for all of them failing communication? On reboot of the ISY, the error is a modal pop-up that has the title "Failed Communication With", and the error is Cannot Communicate With (light name and address). Please check connections. This pop up error occurs sequentially for all of my lights. Thoughts? Cheers!
  19. Thanks Larry I've actually had this KPL for a while. It controls my thermostat. The problems have started since I reprogrammed it with new buttons. Maybe I'll try to factory reset it and try again. Cheers!
  20. Hmmm. I ran a diagnostic on the scene and I get this: Fri 12/02/2016 01:20:58 PM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 0E.6A.D8 0F.41.E4 27 6B 04 (04) Fri 12/02/2016 01:20:58 PM : [std-Direct Ack] 0E.6A.D8-->ISY/PLM Group=0, Max Hops=3, Hops Left=1 Fri 12/02/2016 01:20:59 PM : [GRP-RX ] 02 61 6F 13 00 06 <html><font color="red">----- Thermostat - Day off Test Results -----</font></html> <html><font color="red">[Failed]</font> Thermostat button H - TooHot (34 DB 2E </html> <html><font color="red">[Failed]</font> Thermostat button G - TooCold (34 DB 2E 7)</html> <html><font color="red">[Failed]</font> Thermostat button F - Day Off (34 DB 2E 6)</html> <html><font color="red">[Failed]</font> Thermostat button E - RunProg (34 DB 2E 5)</html> Fri 12/02/2016 01:21:21 PM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 0E.6A.D8 0F.41.E4 27 6D 90 (90) <html><font color="red">----- Thermostat - Day off Test Results -----</font></html> Fri 12/02/2016 01:21:22 PM : [iNST-ACK ] 02 62 00.00.6F CF 13 00 06 LTOFFRR(00) Looks like a lot of Failed. Strange that the scenes still work. Just not the LEDs. Does this log help clarify things at all? Cheers!
  21. Hi gang, I'm having difficulty setting up scenes to control mutually exclusive buttons. On a 8 button keypad, I have the bottom four buttons in a mutually exclusive relationship. The four buttons are "Run Program", "Day Off", "Too Hot", and "Too Cold". They are set to Non-Toggle On. I made four scenes and added the all four of these buttons to each scene as responders. As an example, the "Run Program Scene" has the on level for the Run Program button at 100%, and 0% for all the others. I have programs that respond to each button. For example, the Run Program button "ON" event triggers a program that turns on the Run Program scene. This turns on the Run Program button and turns off the others. The problem is that the LEDs don't match what is going on in the programs. If I click "Day Off", all LEDs for all four buttons turn off. When I check the status of the Day Off button, it is "on". But the LED is off! The programs and events all seem to be working properly. My problem is that the LEDs don't match the button's status. What am I doing wrong? Cheers!
  22. Hi everyone, It's been a while since I checked in on my ISY. There was some strangeness going on in my house, with unresponsive devices, and strange behaviour of other devices. I did a "Restore Devices" today, and now 12 of my devices have reported in as unresponsive and have an explanation mark beside them. Short of replacing them physically with a new device, what is the procedure for restoring them? I know how to do an "air gap" on these devices, but I can't recall how to restore them afterwards. Cheers!
  23. Never mind! Figured it out based on previous posts.
  24. Hi everyone, I haven't logged onto my ISY for many months. Today, I've tried to log in using multiple different computers (all Macs with various OS), and all produce a Java error: ClassNotFoundException com.universaldevices.client.ui.UDClientApplet.class Any ideas? Cheers!
  25. Hi gang, It's been a while since I've last touched my ISY. Recently I've noticed that there are a few devices here and there that have become unresponsive or are behaving oddly. Rather than go around and check each device individually, I was wondering is there is a procedure to have the ISY do a software (non-air gap) reset and reprogram of each device in my home, as well as the PLM. Any thoughts? Cheers!
