  1. Hi gang, Just got back from vacation, and I can't communicate with my ISY99i PRo. Tried rebooting computer, using different computer, rebooting ISY, rebooting ISY + PLM, resetting whole network. This is a problem, as the ISY is still functioning. Unfortunately, it is functioning in Vacation mode, which means that it wants to cycle lights, keep the heat down, etc. Any suggestions? Cheers!
  2. Hi Michel, I don't understand the value of forcing i1. Since most of my devices are new, I am assuming they are i2 compatible. Is there a reason that I would want to force i1 compatibility? Cheers!
  3. Have you tried creating a program that runs when button A AND button B are switched ON? I don't know if that would work or not. One thing that does work is to create programs that set different scenes depending on whether the button is switched ON/OFF, versus FAST ON/FAST OFF, versus BRIGHTEN/DIM. I have a few buttons that trigger different programs depending on whether they are clicked, double clicked or held down. Cheers!
  4. Ok, Michel, I PMed you the info. Have fun! Cheers!
  5. Hi Michel, Same result with Safari or Firefox on multiple computers. Which version of Java is the ISY99 optimized for? Cheers!
  6. Hi Michel, I had posted this once, but it didn't show up, so hopefully this isn't a double post. A PC? How dare you! Actually, we are an all Mac home, as are our friends and neighbors, with the exception of one guy with a desktop PC, which won't help. It's not worth installing XP onto one of my Macs for this. How do I go about generating and installing an SSL certificate from one of the many websites that provide this service? They aren't too expensive, and the process looks easy, except for the part about generating a CSR. Cheers!
  7. Thanks Michel, I have accepted the Legions of Bouncy Castle certificate. I am on a Mac, and have tried Safari and Firefox. Both give the same result. Any ideas? Cheers! Hi Michel, Does it matter what the original address is that I access? I type in my local IP address for the ISY (i.e. 10.0.1.209). Is this the correct way to start this process? Cheers!
  8. Thanks Michel, I have accepted the Legions of Bouncy Castle certificate. I am on a Mac, and have tried Safari and Firefox. Both give the same result. Any ideas? Cheers! 10. Thanks Michel, I have accepted the Legions of Bouncy Castle certificate. I am on a Mac, and have tried Safari and Firefox. Both give the same result. Any ideas? Cheers!
  11. Good advice. Thanks!
  12. I continue to struggle with this. I get the SSL Certificate Management window, select Generate and Install New Self-Signed Certificate. I then get the pop up window where I type my url (in the format www.domain.com). I leave the key strength # alone, and have tried different settings for Save. When I hit OK, nothing happens. The dialog box disappears, and I am back to the large empty blue window of the Certificate Manager. There is no progress bar, no errors, no confirmation that anything has happened. Did it work? If not, am I doing something wrong? Another question. I have forwarded port 443 to port 80 on the ISY and I can access the ISY from outside of the house. If I forward 443 to 443 on the ISY, I can't get external access. Is this the correct way of forwarding? Cheers!
  13. Through programming in the ISY you could, but every blink would be insteon traffic (on command, off command, on command, etc.) and may not be the best thing...though it could be done I guess. Eric This is what I had tried and achieved, and then removed as it seemed very crude. I think I will abandon my quest for the blinking LEDs. Thanks!
  14. Thanks!
  15. Nope, not what I was looking for.
  16. Hi gang, Is there a way to make an LED on an 8-button switch blink? Cheers!
  17. Hi everyone! I have a scene that contains all of my lights, which is programatically set to off by various buttons in the house. I also have a program that sets the LED of the "All Off" buttons based on the status of all of the lights (i.e. if all lights are all off, then Off, otherwise On). The code is lengthy, given the number of lights, and if I add a switch then I have to remember to add it to the scene, and then to the programs as well. Is there a way to check the status of a scene? For example, check the status of my "All Lights" scene to see if it is Off (presuming that the Off result would occur only when all the lights in the scene were off)? Cheers!
  18. Oops, never mind. Had to switch from Safari to Firefox, then suddenly I could resize the boxes. Cheers! Does that mean I shouldn't order one of those? Cheers!
  19. Oops, never mind. Had to switch from Safari to Firefox, then suddenly I could resize the boxes. Cheers!
  20. That was my impression. It feels unfinished. A couple of things that I can't figure out. 1) Can you resize the room boxes? 2) Can you embed rooms within a larger floor object? Cheers!
  21. Hi gang, I have been playing with the Floor Plan function, but it feels very primitive. I feel like I am missing something. I can add switches to rooms that I name, but what is the point? Can I use these rooms in some way on the ISY99i? I've been thinking about getting an Easytouch P, which says that it integrates with the ISY99i, but they suggest that you set up the Floor Plan function, which is why I have developed an interest in this function. Cheers!
  22. Hi gang, Just wanted to report that my dimmers that were not reporting their status (which was attributed to i2) are now reporting correctly. Great!
  23. I should mention that I tried plugging the ISY 99i directly into my laptop's ethernet port with the same result. Cheers! Never mind. My bad! Kept downloading the version for the old ISY. Downloaded the 99i version and all went well. Oops. Cheers!
  24. I should mention that I tried plugging the ISY 99i directly into my laptop's ethernet port with the same result. Cheers!
  25. Hi Michel, I am on a Mac, so I'm not sure how to clear Java. I did accept the mentioned certificate though. How do you know when the process is done? Cheers!
