I'd light to get a print out of all my devices with the addresses, version numbers as well as my scenes with the different device / controllers and responders contained in them. Is there any way to do that? MV

I have wound up in a bad place. Recently, I gave all my key pad buttons unique names, a short description as to what they control. They used be what I originally named the Keypad switch, all 37 of them, followed by the letter A,B,C,D. Now, when I look at the buttons in the scenes they control, I can't always tell which keypad is involved. So I tried to rename the button including the original Key pad name as the suffix but now, it seems that there is a limit as to how many characters I am able to see. Any one have a good fix for this?

I'm trying to write a program to turn on three different dimmer switches between certain hours when motion is sensed. I have a scene created with the three devices in it. I have the motion sensor installed in the ISY99ir. There are three nodes for the motion sensor in the main view. which one do I select for the program? here are the highlights of the program: run everyday run between 3am and 7am run only when it is dark. turn off only one of the switches after 3 hours. What is the best way to accomplish this? also, I can't see that the motion sensor is communicating. I see no activity in the event viewer. how can I make sure the isy is communicating with the motion sensor? Insteon 2842-222.

After I reboot my ISY99i IR Pro, all my insteon lights go out. Is there a way to prevent this?

Hi Michel, I was able to log in but when I tried to update again, I ge the error message: Upgrade Failed:Failed uploading file:( Reported written file size is invalid) I downloaded the update file again, tried again and got same message. What should I try next? MV

Can't log in to ISY after latest up date. I get the first login, when I click on administrative console,the Jave logo comes up, spins for a while and I get " click here for errors. Below is what I get. I deleted certificates and have cleared Java Cahse several times. Used Michel links to find isy as well. same thing Please help. ???? I recently upgraded to 2.7.10. I have noticed there is a new tool called batch mode. how does that apply to my system and Should I do anything? I could not find any documentation on this. It is off right now. Should I turn it on? What will happen?

Yes I have. We could not get to the bottom of the 45 + minutes system busy. I did not have the Query on Reboot checked on the config. page Bug Perhaps? Learned that you can't " replace" a device if it is in a folder, and that I may have an issue with a couple of SWD.

Thanks Michel, The PLM was connected after I rebooted. I am Looking at the event viewer on Level 3 and there does seem to be a response for every ACK. Problem is, I can't seem to save the log to a file while it is in " System busy" mode. It has been running for over 20 minutes and is still running. It has been a while since I have done any programing since I don't spend the Summer Weekends trouble shooting but fall is here at last and I have attempted to pick up the ball again and fine tune my Insteon Network. I am sure you will be hearing more from me as we move into the Winter months. That being said, I have an ISY 99ir firmware 2.7.6 and over 100 insteon devices in my home. Everything has been working to about 85-90% reliability. Still striving for 95-100%. This weekend I replaced a SWD that I have been having constant communication failure with. After I swapped it out, I did the "discover new device" routine. After the device was discovered and the browser shut down, I went to log back in to the ISY. After I did, the System Busy progess bar ran for over 20 minutes. After it stopped, I tried to Replace the New Device settings with the old device setting, but I do not have that option. I can only replace the old device settings with the new device setting which does me no good as the old device has 20 links to it. I tried rebooting again and I get the 20 + minutes of system busy. I will admit that I am rusty with programming but what am I missing?

It seems that I do not have the option to "Set Scene" nor do I have a scene called " My Lighting" In my program details tab. What do I need to do?

I have a program named "Query all" that reads: If Time is 3:00:00AM Then Set <Not Specified> null Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') I believe this is a default program as I do not recall adding it to my system. Can some one tell me if this is working? What should the "Then" Line read? I may have altered the program inadvertantly.It seems that none of my device statuses are updated. What is the purpose of the query all program?

Hi Mike, Yes fast off, double tap, is my intention. I can make the scene work through the admin console, not with the actual SLD. As I mentioned, I have a number of these “All off†programs controlling several SLD in different rooms. I have created scenes with all of the SLD’s or SLR’s as responders. Some of these scenes may have a KPL button as a controller for additional control from a KPL but most just have responders. Might that be causing the issue? As you suggested, I changed the trigger for one of the scenes from fast off to off. Some of the lights turn off but not all. I had to press the switch 3 times to get everything to turn off. Does that tell you anything? Thanks MV

I am trying to control some “ALL OFF “Scenes with ISY 99 Programs. For Instance, I have 5-10 SLDs in a scene. All of them responders. In the scene, I have all the ON LEVELs set to 0. I create a program that reads like this: If Control 'KP@Mud Entry to Kitchen' is switched Fast Off Then Set Scene 'Kitchen/Desk All Off' Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Nothing Happens What am I doing wrong?

I see that the KPL dim level goes down to "17". Are there plans to make it go even lower? I have a KPL on my night stand and another right above it in the wall and it does still trhough a fair amount of light while trying to sleep. Any ideas how to dim these down further?

Update. I have been able to log into the ISY via the network. I unplugged the network cable, powered down and restarted. Everything seems OK. Takes a long time to boot but I guess when you have over 100 devices you have to live with it.Now the only issue is is getting home seer to discover my devices. Guess I will wait for Bob on that. Hi Mike, Correction, the power button AND the RX button are on solid. Even with the Homeseer PC off I could not connect. I got to the admin console using "http://www.universal-devices.com/99i " but I saw no devices or programs. I tried connecting using a null modem cable but I could not connect. Please help. I am on vacation Wednesday morning for a week and Homeseer plays a role in my security system and ISY is controlling my lights. This could not have happened at a worse time. Thanks MV

Unfortunately, No. I have tried rebooting by unplugging the PLM / Power source for 10 seconds then replugging in. I was able to get back in once, restarted homeseer again, both Homeseer and ISY hung up, and now the last two times I attempted to reboot the ISY, I have not been able to get in, ping or telnet.I have disabled the ISY plug in for Homeseer and Homeseer is starting up ok. Anything more to try? MV

Only the power light is on. Was not able to telnet or ping the ISY Not able to login to the ISY. Triggers /Programs are not running MV
