Ok, that explains that. Any Ideas why the EISY is not receiving the motion sensors on command?

ok, but isn't that traffic going from Eisy to the Motion detector? How do I know the motion detector can communicate to the Eisy?

Ok, So I was able to query the Low Battery Node and the Dawn Dusk Node and I can see the status in the admin console. When I query the Sensor mode, there is nothing in the Status box in the Admin Console. I then created a test program: I placed the motion sensor directly in front of me as I work at my computer and launched the event viewer Level 3. This is what the communication looks like. My guess is that all those events are the MS picking up my movements every 30 seconds, but it does not display the devices address and the test program will not run. I tried a full restore and there was no change. Any more thoughts?

I recently replaced my ISY994 with an Eisy after some initial learning curve challenges, I am stuck trying to add the Insteon 2842-222 motion sensors back into the mix. During the linking process, it will not automatically detect the sensor after holding the set button down until the LED starts blinking. So, I enter the sensors address manually and it will add it to the ISY but I can't get a status when I query it, I can't see any communication when I use the event viewer. I am right next to an access point when I did this and have even tried to install the sensor right next to a brand new PLM still no luck. I also have the 5th jumper pin disabled is that correct? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks MV

I restarted Homeseer, then disabled, then enabled the plugin and this is what came back in the log: (attached) MV LOG 6-13-23.txt

I di not change the credentials they are the default ones.

I had some time try try to get this to work. Homeseer knows the IP address of the Eisy but under the status Page there is nothing listed. I deleted the plugin and then reinstalled but i get the same result. Anything I could try? I have a lot if interaction between these two platforms.

I have an ISY 994i/IR Pro that I have been running since it came out. I bought a Polisy Pro but could never use it as I could find a PLM. So, I bought a Eisay and a new PLM, but before installing it, I wondered if it will communicate with Homeseer via the insteon plugin that has been working my ISY. Has anyone come across this situation? Can Eisay work with homeseer?

All of a sudden, my Insteon 2842-222 motion sensor stopped getting it's signal to the ISY994. It still detects motion, as evidenced by the blip of the red light, but no device communication events when using the event viewer in level 3. I had a spare motion sensor, I added it and replaced the original one but same thing, when it see's motion it would not communicate with the ISY. I removed and reinstalled with the device right next to the PLM. Still nothing. It could not auto discover the device, I had to manually type in the address. I have a Polisy Pro but I do not have a working USB PLM to transfer over. I guess they are available some time in march. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks

I know, I pulled a ticket with UDI Tech support and Michel told me it should work but never tested. Not sure what you mean. I am using the 2413 s with my ISY and trying to use the 2412U with the Policy. If I mixed up the terminology in my threads I do apologize. Is that what you meant?

thank you Techman, Just ordered the cable and will use it but I still have the problem that I cannot restore my new 2412U PLM with the Polisy. That's what started this Thread. IO am just going to pull the plug and start over. Thanks

To Mr. Bill, The reason I moved to the Policy was that I could purchase two new model 2412U PLMs on Ebay as my existing 2413S PLM I was using with my ISY had failed once. I had the capacitors replaced put it back into service with the ISY and decided it was time to move to the Polisy as I could use the 2412U PLMS. I would have just bought a new 2413S but as we all know, Smarthome no longer exist presently and I also though I could do more with the Polisy that with just the ISY. So, to use the old 2413s with the new Polisy kinda defeats the purpose why I made this move. That being said, are you saying that I can just plug the ethernet cable from the 2413s into any of the ethernet ports on the back of the polisy and it will work? OR, does any one know where iIcan get a new dual band PLM that will work with my Polisy Pro? MV

so, just unplug the PLM an Policy, factory reset the PLM and start over?

Do I need a plugin to get homeseer to communicate with my new Policy Pro or will the plugin I had with my isy work?

I migrated from my ISY to the Polisy Pro on 6/10 at about 3pm. it is now Sunday Morning 6/12 at 11:00 AM and it is still restoring. Is this normal? (System Busy and Progress bar keeps going from 0-100 over and over. I have over 125 devices and at last count I had about 950 links in my PLM. The "New PLM" is a 2412U. I know it is not dual band but it's what I could find new in the box on Ebay. My Old PLM I used with the ISY was the type connected an ethernet cable.2413S I think? Any Ideas?

I have an Insteon Leak sensor that just stopped working. The Led works when I press the button but in the AC, there is no status. No "on" or no "off" I am not getting any missed heartbeats and I have tried to trip the sensor to see of the status would change. When I query it, nothing happens. Any way to bring it back to life? It never got wet and it's not that old.

Ok, I discovered that there is a column for programs to run at Start up on the summary page. I just disabled run at Start up on every program then enabled run at start up only the programs I want running at start up. That should work, Right? MV
