My networking broke also but I did not upgrade anything. I am on 5.8. I was in the gui and had plugged in some usb stick\hard drives when this all stopped working. I ran the dhcp command and it gave me an ip but it did not work upon a reboot. When running the dhcp command it does say unknown dhcp option value 0x7d but gets an ip. Should I run that script also even though I didn't upgrade to 5.9? I also did not see my plm in the diagnostics menu. Thanks

Is it possible to build the sendir commands manually without the ilearn app? can i look on the internet for discreet codes and modify them or is it different format?

Trying to follow the steps to setup a resource to turn the tv ON. i have ilearned it, and send IR in the tool turns on the tv. I have 8 insteon switches within 10 of each other and the plm is right there too. They are all new and dual band. The lights are low voltage and LED, not sure if that matters.

I wired a new bathroom fixture in, I stole power from a near by junction box. All the devices in question (kitchen and bathroom) are within 10 feet of each other. The isy shows the light is on but is not. I captured the log when it happened. When the motion kicked sensor fired, the shower LED is the only one that came on even though they are in a scene together. I have 2 scenes that have this issue that I know of. Lately they have both been missing a device or 2 when the scenes are called by motion but if you hang out long enough to trigger another motion, it eventually comes on and some times it works as it should. I have rebooted the isy and it didn't help. Is there any way I can see why this maybe happening? thanks

I factory reset it, removed it and readded it. seems to be turning off now. weird

because it is the only program that calls kitchen motion 2. if 2 can't run on its own due to being disabled. something is making the If run. must be the sensor on/off status and it is checking after enabling it or so it seems.

i enabled the program from the isy across the house way after a 5 minute window. I think the motion sensor is stuck "on" status maybe. it shuts off the light after x minutes though but the console always says on. so maybe after enabling it, it says hey motion is on. go to then.

Actually what I think is happening is that the program becomes enabled, runs the If, finds that the motion sensor is "on" and then goes on. I have another motion sensor and it says off but this one always says on. it has a 1 min timeout but never seems to say off.

The find found just the Kitchen Motion 1 which calls the kitchen 2 upon motion. . I was testing some more and found that If the kitchen 1motion is disabled and then enabled, it runs the "then" which fires kitchen2. (unless it is running the if and thinking motion was detected which it shouldn't be) I canreplicate this issue. Why would enabling a program cause it to run? there is no motion in the kitchen when enabling it. Is it skipping the if and running the then? Any way to capture the logs to see if this is what is happening? I don't have that many programs what do you mean with FInd?

I was under the impression that if you disable a program it can't run on its own. I have a motion #2 program that is disabled but still runs the else. Is this by design or am I missing something? This program is disabled but runs the else when I turn off the living room lights. It works but it also triggers on time events as false due to the motion not being triggered but the time changed. motion sensor on a fan/light on an fanlinc day- motion triggers fan only. night - motion triggers light and fan. If 1.5 hr from sunset to sunrise next day. and control motion sensor is on. then set outside fan on set outside lights on wait 5 min set outside fan off set outside lights off Else set outside fan on wait 5 min set outside fan off

haha that is pretty funny. I went to the extreme to test a theory and I went a bit too far. That doesn't make sense from a UI perspective. why not take that out ? or is that the point if for some reason you want to ignore the ramp rate.
