bigscience A device can be factory reset at the device without removing it from the ISY. Do the factory reset and then do a Restore Device to rebuild the configuration and link database.

bigscience Are you asking in the context of "If Control" or "If Status"? It makes a difference. larryllix You might want to wait until you have an ISY and have a chance to actually work with one. Some of the posted information in this topic and another is not correct.
  3. "Will both timers work?" Both Programs will run. The first program dims the device (to Off?) in 5 minutes. If the first program turns the lamp off the second program will send another Off after the program has run for 10 minutes. "Will the latest timer cancel the previous timer?" No, not with the information provided. "What will happen?" Both programs run to completion. "Are timers dedicated to each device and only one can be running at any given point in time? or Are timers just freely allocated timers and control programme execution? If so, is there a quantity limit on timers running concurrently?" There is no 'timer' type program. The programs perform as they have been coded. One could cancel the other if coded to do so. They may do nothing to each other as I have assumed with the previous answers.
  4. The PLM can receive RF from an Access Point but cannot send. That is very odd since two PLMs are doing the same thing. Not the ISY as it has no role in a phase test. What does the PLM do when its Set button is tapped 4 times?
  5. All battery devices are unaware of a power outage. The Leak Sensor sends a change to Dry and Wet nodes only when a state change occurs. The blank Current Status does not hurt anything. The heartbeat node will be refreshed on its normal 24 hour cycle. You can tap the Set button on the Leak Sensor to have it send a message but that should not be necessary. The same situation applies to all the battery devices.

" But I did just get two new keypadlinc 8 buttons, will those work with 99i?" Not if they are Dual Band KPLs. There is an update program to move to a 994i. Check the UDI Web site. There is no program mechanism to factory reset individual devices. Yes, the modules can be transferred to a 994i. email UDI with the 99i and 994i UUID. The old PLM will work. Depending on how old it is it might make sense to purchase the latest version.
  7. No. The Wait statement does not support that.
  8. Post the Scene being discussed please. Note that many Insteon devices no longer support a 9 minute Ramp Rate. SmartLabs changed 9 minute ramp rate to something like .2 seconds several years ago. Try changing the Scene Responder Ramp Rates to 8 minutes. The difference between 8 minute and 9 minute ramp rate is hard to tell as the device ramps On/Off. Note: I checked the current 2476D sales page specs and it does indicate 8 minutes as slowest ramp rate. Your firmware level is going to support 8 minute rate as max.

    (1) Am I correct in assuming that the only way to fix this mess is to uninstall and reinstall all the devices (without links this time)? Yes. (2) Is there anyway to preserve the Scenes I've created, or will the devices disappear from the Scenes? (assuming I put all the devices back using the same names.) The Scenes cannot be preserved. The Scene names are not deleted but the devices in them are gone. (3) What will happen to all my programs that reference these devices and scenes? The Scene names to do not get deleted but will not have devices in them. Program reference to a device is changed to the following: Set On ----------------------------- The ISY is not designed to take an existing HouseLinc setup and adjust it to run with the ISY. The PLM references to the HouseLinc PLM would have to be removed to start with. Trying to keep the ISY firmware updated to handle an evolving HouseLinc world would not be practical.
  10. I have not heard of issues with GFCI not passing Insteon signals.

The To Time is incorrect. 8AM is (next day). If From 5:00:00PM To 8:00:00AM (next day)
  12. That is the same one I am running. Is the 2413 plugged into the same outlet as the 2412UH?
  13. What does Tools | Diagnostics | PLM Info/Status show for the PLM firmware level?
  14. Use any of the posts by Michel. At the bottom there is a link to open a Ticket for ISY support. Not sure what is available on the weekend going into Christmas.
  15. KHouse If the above did not answer the question(s) please post back. Understanding when a Then versus Else will execute is important to understand.
  16. The Else clause is turning the lights Off. If those statements were not in the Else the lights would remain On. There is no automatic Off in Insteon. With the If that is being used the Then Clause executes at the From time and the Else clause executes at the To time. This section in the Wiki may provide some helpful info http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... tion_Order
  17. Thanks oberkc. I thought the UI ran okay on Windows 8 which could mean Java level issue. Are you on 4.0.5 or 4.1.1?
  18. The mismatch of Firmware and UI (UI being at 4.0.11) is okay in this situation. UDI made a later level of UI that runs on 4.0.5. What level Java is being used? It sounds like a Java issue on Windows 8.
  19. The 0x0D command is asking the device what type Insteon Engine does it support. This command has been available in all Insteon devices. This link may provide helpful information about the event viewer log entries. http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... ent_Viewer The actual Insteon messages can be found in the PLM Developers Guide and the insteondetails.pdf document on insteon.com web site. This is a trace from an EZIO2X4 asking for the Insteon Engine information Sat 12/21/2013 01:08:15 PM : [iNST-TX-I1 ] 02 62 16 B0 CC 0F 0D 00 Sat 12/21/2013 01:08:15 PM : [iNST-ACK ] 02 62 16.B0.CC 0F 0D 00 06 (00) Sat 12/21/2013 01:08:15 PM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 16.B0.CC 22.80.0B 2B 0D 01 (01) Make sure analog inputs 3 & 4 are connected to GND. These are floating inputs and can produce unwanted Insteon messages. Try a factory reset of the EZIO2X4
  20. Check the Insteon address being used. The device did not respond to the three attempts made to communicate with that address. Should see an 02 50 response from the device.

    Have a great holiday season.
  22. Sorry, I have no specific information about what and when. A recent post by UDI indicates variable changes are coming in the 5.0.x sequence. See …. viewtopic.php?f=68&t=6673&p=101746
  23. LeeG replied to Ltek's topic in ISY994
A Variable can be used to provide the logical switch. I don't think Virtual Devices have surfaced as an item in the near future. I'm sure UDI will correct this if it is wrong.
  24. Enhanced variables are expected the beginning of next year.

Right click on Program name, select Copy to Clipboard and post to forum. Using If Status as part of the IF may cause problems because when the device turns On the Status changes. No need for that in the If. Also the 8 AM is the (next day) which can be coded wrong.
