That 2663-222 OutletLinc is also powerline only. The Hops Left=x number changing frequently indicates poor comm to the I/O Linc. A Dual Band device may help as was already suggested. It would have to be in RF range of another Dual Band device.

That is correct. Define an ISY Scene and add a KeypadLinc button as a Controller. Drag the KeypadLinc button to the ISY Scene. It will display in Red below the ISY Scene name.

Click on the + sign to left of KeypadLinc. If using the device defined on the 99i it should be deleted and added back as 3.3.10 was not aware of the latest KeypadLinc device type.

My 2477D SwitchLinc Dimmer at hardware 7.6, firmware v.44 Beeps. Can you post the Program as well as an Event Viewer trace at LEVEL 3 showing the Beep command.

Look at page 15 in ISY User Guide for what it looked like originally. "Network" is/was the first Icon with "My Lighting" the second. My Lighting indicates the configuration came from a 99i that was migrated to a 994i. A configuration totally from a 994i has "ISY" rather than "My Lighting"

What is the dimmer name/number and firmware? I have many KeypadLincs that do not have Beep feature. Also the Beep is not very loud.

The Keypad Dimmer is a later device which may have some feature differences such as Beep, etc. Not saying Beep is different, would need to compare the advertised features of both. The underlying function of a KeypadLinc and Keypad Dimmer are the same. SmartLabs changes the name of devices rather frequently lately. There is a 6 and 8 button Keypad Dimmer, just as there is a 6 and 8 button KeypadLinc

blueman2 Thanks for the update. That is how I thought it worked which the Show ISY Links Table confirmed.

The antenna's are generally on the back of the device. It can be seen when looking through the clear plastic back. This means an RF signal has to pass through two sets of electronics if the nearest Dual Band is across the room. If mounted in metal electrical boxes it further reduces the range. I do not have an RF range in mind. That is why I prefer to use a pair of Access Points (now call Range Extenders) which plug in and serve to couple the 120v legs. I locate them near the power panel so they have clear line of site. Others think that with the volume of Dual Band devices installed now days the Access Points are over kill. The reality is whether the installed devices work together.

Moving the PLM plug point verified the SwitchLinc was not the source of the Extended message problem. Extended messages are carried by RF. The actual cause of the Extended message problem has not been identified, only verified it is not the SwitchLinc itself. Put the PLM into Set button 4 tap beacon test and see if the SwitchLinc indicates it is on the same or opposite 120v leg.

Do a Show ISY Links Table for one of the Disabled devices. Do the links with PLM addresses have the old or new PLM address. I'm assuming the ISY Links Table will have the new PLM address.

That should not be correct. Range Extenders (Access Points) couple the two 120v legs using RF. It would not be possible to program I2CS and some I2 devices if Extended messages were not carried over RF.

In the Scene definition there is a Scene Name followed by all the Controllers of the Scene. These nodes will be in Red. Click the first Red Controller node below Scene name and set the Responder On Level as desired. Each Red Controller has a unique set of Responder On Levels. Click on each Red Controller and set the Responder On Level as desired.

rich.curl The KeypadLinc is manufactured as a 6 button device, with a "Cat"egory, "Sub-cat"egory (device type) for a 6 button KPL. This is true regardless of how the device is configured to operate (as 6 button or 8 button). If there are 8 nodes it is configured for 8 button operation even though it is still considered a 6 button KPL and shows as a 6 button device type. If the device is Factory Reset it returns to 6 button mode and would have to be reconfigured for 8 button mode. Here is an 8 button KPL showing an 8 button device type on line 2, right side of display, even though configured for 6 button operation with 5 nodes.

ZWave is not causing Insteon comm issues. ZWave does not use the PLM nor the powerline. If an Insteon network problem all the normal possibilities exist. Something absorbing the Insteon signal, something adding noise to powerline. All the issues that are covered in the forum. Look for patterns on the same electrical circuit.

Try a Wait 2 seconds to allow all the commands from the IO Linc Sensors to complete Program: "Garage Door Open" - if "Garage Door Sensor 1" OR 2 is ON - then Wait 2 seconds set scene "Garage Door Open" ON - else <nil>

It is much better engineered and it supports a wider voltage range for use outside of US. However, the functional aspects are the same as the SmartLabs as the firmware comes from SmartLabs.

How is the Resume Bright option set? Around page 9-12 of SwitchLinc Owner's manual. What is turning on the SwitchLinc, a Program using the Scene name the SwitchLinc paddle another device It makes a difference as to what On Level needs adjustment or Resume Bright option.
