erniekraut What ISY firmware is being used, Help | About, Firmware and UI levels? Run Tools | Diagnostics | Event Viewer at LEVEL 3. After putting RemoteLinc into linking mode with DIM/BRIGHT buttons, use New INSTEON Device to add RemoteLinc. Position RemoteLinc near 2413 PLM and be sure the RemoteLinc has new batteries. Post the event trace. There is an Icon on the bottom right side of Event Viewer popup for Copy to Clipboard. Then Paste event trace.
-
To add the RemoteLinc to the ISY press DIM/BRIGHT buttons until RemoteLinc LED blinks. Use New INSTEON Device or click Link a RemoteLinc which takes you to the New INSTEON Device popup. Enter the Insteon address of RemoteLinc and Name of your choice. Have the RemoteLinc near the 2413 PLM when Ok is clicked.

CLIMD/HEAT is not correct to set Heat Mode. The word HEAT is unknown so the set/CLIMD turned the thermostat Off. Around page 23 is the list of values that are used with CLIMD. 0 = Off 1 = Heat 2 = Cool ..../REST/nodes/14 B7 2A 1/set/CLIMD/1/ sets the thermostat to heat mode. <name>CLIMD</name> <label>Thermostat Mode</label> <readOnly>false</readOnly> <isQueryAble>true</isQueryAble> <isNumeric>false</isNumeric> <actions> <action> <name>0</name> <label>Off</label> </action> <action> <name>1</name> <label>Heat</label> </action> <action> <name>2</name> <label>Cool</label> </action> <action> <name>3</name> <label>Auto</label> </action> <action> <name>4</name> <label>Fan</label> </action> <action> <name>5</name> <label>Program Auto</label> </action> <action> <name>6</name> <label>Program Heat</label> </action> <action> <name>7</name> <label>Program Cool</label>

Nothing can be set in device to affect Fade. It changes the load at a predicable rate because a human (normally) is pressing and holding the paddle/button. Would not want a human to sit there holding a paddle/button while a device took 2 minutes to Fade Up/Down. The Fade operation can be simulated by setting the Scene Responder Ramp Rate to like .4 seconds (whatever Fade uses, don't know the specific rate) and using the normal Scene On/Off commands. The device would Ramp Up or Down as if Fade was being used.

user181 If the 6 button KPL was manufactured as an 8 button (regardless of current face plate) a Factory Reset will reset it to 8 button mode. Hopefully that 6 button KPL was put into 8 button mode during product test and is really a 6 button KPL. A Factory Reset will set the KPL to its factory manufacture state. If it goes to 8 button mode with a Factory Reset then it is really an 8 button KPL which will have to be set to 6 button mode after the reset.

When a paddle/button on a device is pressed and held active, the device issues a Fade Up/Down when the paddle/button is pressed and a fade Stop when the button/paddle is released. The Fade Stop terminates the Fade Up/Down. Even though I suspect you want the Fade Up/Down to run to the On/Off limit the device firmware is expecting a Fade Stop. The lack of a Fade Stop can cause the next command to the device to do unexpected things. Some devices are ok without the Fade Stop, others have problems when they do not see the Fade Stop. A device always sends the commands in pairs, Fade Up - Fade Stop, Fade Down - Fade Stop.

For those conditions and using the Motion Sensor Off two Programs are needed. There is some additional logic required for the Fade. It is easier to combine into one Program. If Control 'TStat Main / MS TStat Main-Sensor31.F3 64' is switched On And From 12:00:56AM To 5:20:00AM (same day) Then Send X10 'A2/On (3)' Send X10 'A5/On (3)' Set 'Range L.E.D.' On Set Scene 'zScenes / Foyer Light when Closet open' Fade Up Wait 4 seconds Set Scene 'zScenes / Foyer Light when Closet open' Fade Stop. Wait 5 minutes (this is wait timeout value now in MS) Send X10 'A2/Off (11) Send X10 'A5/Off (11)' Run Program 'Range L.E.D.' (If) Set Scene 'zScenes / Foyer Light when Closet open' Fade Down Wait 4 seconds Set Scene 'zScenes / Foyer Light when Closet open' Fade Stop Else

Try this http://192.168.2.2/REST/nodes/14%20B7%202A%201/set/CLIMD/1/ to set to Heat

It should be rest/nodes/.........

To add a little additional information about Programs and triggers. Any change in the Motion Sensor Status or when the From time or the To time is reached, the Program is triggered (runs If). The various If conditions are evaluated and when True the Then clause executes. If not True for any reason the If is considered False and the Else clause runs. When a program is triggered it will execute either the Then or Else. There is no case where a Program is triggered and no clause (Then or Else) is executed.

A KPL button can be a Responder in many Scenes. SceneXOnYOff KPLbuttonX Responder On Level 100% KPLbuttonY Responder On Level 0% SceneYOnXOff KPLbuttonX Responder On Level 0% KPLbuttonY Responder On Level 100%

What type of load is being controlled from the ToggleLinc (LED, CFL, incandescent) What types of load are being controlled by other Insteon devices? Is the PLM isolated from other devices on the same circuit that may be generating interference (UPS, surge/noise suppression power strip, etc)?

See this link for actual discussion of this situation. This in one of three duplicates http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/15598-cannot-determine-insteon-engine/

The file for 2C.39.F1 has a trace for 2C.3A.F1 device. Not sure if the file is mislabeled or the wrong device address was used. 2C.3A.F1 did not respond. The file for 2C.3A.BD shows it took 5 seconds for the device to generate a response. The ISY considered that as no response and retried the command two more times with no response. It suggests there is enough noise on the powerline to delay the device response or not allow a response. I suggest using a pair of Range Extenders for coupling. The 2406H is a passive coupler. A signal that is reduced by the time it reaches the power panel will be placed on the other 120v leg in its reduced signal level

Togglelincs are powerline only, no Dual Band. Device 2C.3A.C1 is not sending a response as though it is not receiving the commands. What devices are being used to couple the two 120v legs? Are the ToggleLincs on the same or opposite 120v leg as the PLM? Note that after resetting the PLM a File | Restore Modem (PLM) is required.

Release 4.0.5 is old. 4.2.18 is the current Official release with 4.2.27 (RC4) likely being the next Official release.

There is only one battery powered Insteon thermostat. I am not familiar with ZWave devices.
-
To be involved in a three way configuration (2 switches cross-linked) both devices had links pointing to each other. It sounds like the links in the remaining device were not deleted so it is still responding to the initial Group Broadcast message from the device that was moved. Sounds like the devices were manually linked together so the ISY had no record of what to delete when the switch was removed. Factory reset the remaining switch and do a Restore Device.

You will need clear button caps. When I installed those KPLs they came with clear caps. Today 2401CLB is a set of clear buttons for $5.99
-
All of my KPL buttons are created locally. Printed on light paper placed under clear button caps. Back when they were installed that was how it was done.
-
The 2441ZTH battery powered thermostat does not have Setpoint Up/Setpoint Down. Does not matter if using a power supply, as a battery device those buttons are not available.

Never have, most folks don't, but I think the initial topic post can be updated changing the topic Title. See link below. http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/13617-leak-detector-problems-solved/
-
Unfortunately not. Need to use the procedure described in the TStat documentation.

That was getting Firmware and UI to the same point. Thanks for the update.
